Would be a shame to have to use a fan to cool. Could imagine it giving a large price increase for power consumption. Would be allot sweeter to have a chip that is comfortable working at high temperatures period.

Avalons have fans too, burnins design too and some klondike assemblers plan to use fans too. I think when wanting to use it without fans it has to be undervolted to lower the heat.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Oh really? I thought that was more for air circulation then direct cooling but i might be wrong.

I have an order in batch #5, and need 6 more chips to complete the miner. Is there someone who is willing to sell me those six chips? Batch # is not important to me, of course, and I'll pay more (0.1BTC per chip) and be very grateful.

As long as more than one buyer is of the opinion that chips from early batches are worth it... Smiley

It's a matter of 9-10 weeks of mining in the times of rapidly growing difficulty...

That for sure... if the batches come in at different times. Im not so sure about it. My guess is that they all come at one time. I might be wrong, maybe Yifu holds younger batches back artificially too, i dont know. But i think all batches will be created at one time by the foundry, so they should be received by avalon at one time too.

But how many batches can come together?
I don't believe batch #6 from this very group buy could be delivered at the same time as batch #1...

Has anyone contacted you about merging a number of the current groupbuys together to finish up the last batch(s)? I saw it suggested in a thread in order to fill up these final slow buys. I believe your name was brought up, as well as bizwoo and t13hydra.

Yes i was contacted and asked about it in the threads. But no one was really interested in it because of the additional layer of insecurity.
The total sum of the current batches of four EU group buys is currently only 6537. Sad

Here are the group buys I have considered:
1. t13hydra https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189582.0 batch 2: 1021
2. Marto74 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217316.0 batch 2: 48
3. bizwoo https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200067.0 batch 2: 3470
4. SebastianJu https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187660.0 batch 6: 1998

Thanks to ujka for the list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189582.msg2584348#msg2584348).

I think it will rise quite fast once first chips are delivered to any group buy. Because we already know the chips exist, miners from developers seem to be working, so everyone (who still has some money to spend) is waiting if the 9-10 weeks of delivery will be true or not.

Some say all the current batches will be delivered together.
So, it would be 9-10 weeks for the first batches, much less for the last batches (e.x. #5).
But then, probably for batch #6 it would be 5-10 weeks again...

Sebastian,
Do you plan arrange some resale, buy back chip from buyers that want sell his chip ?
May be best way for fill orders from bath#6  and/or help those person who need some chip more than ordered.
I mean some action like zefir thread. Resale possible only for your group buy members.

Want to say thanks? 16ragydppe9QFRVhrdwEUjgfMS7KCfEFGY

There are going auctions on often already. Members in groupbuy here are selling chips, asking for buying chips and so on, some want me doing the escrow too.
Buying back isnt possible for me at the moment but till now everyone that wanted to sell chips were able to do so. Last one was idee2013 who auctioned nearly 600 chips.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I want to inform you of an offer zefir made. He offered to collect the bitcoins collected from the remaining groupbuys and order a batch with it. He would buy the remaining chips then.
When the chips arrive he would ship them from the EU to me then.

Let me know if youre interested in this. At the moment the shop seems still closed anyway.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
