Hi Jared...any chance you can share your command line for running ccminerAlexis78.exe for skein on zpool? ccminerAlexis78.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP -p c=BTC,skein, stats
I dont change any card settings, I run them stock settings from the factory; on machines that have cards close together, Ill manually ramp the fan curves up a little.... that's it. Default intensity on this build is higher than the old builds, which is proper. if it doesn't run well; back it off and try again. I think default is 26 right now in that build. Thanks I see my error in my bat. I did not write ccminerAlexis78.exe. I will test it later.

You may also consider using ccminer from spmod for Skein. https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/releases/download/1.5.81/release81.7zHere are some more data points: I average 492-500 GH/s skein, on my 1070's with -25% TDP as my only card adjustment. Puts each card at 125W consistent. I get 418-425 sol/s on equihash with the same power and settings and EWBF miner. It averages 650W total at the wall with five cards. Waiting on the sixth to arrive, which will bump it to 775 at the wall. I'm using Corsair HX1200i which are platinum power supplies. Planning to test a 7th card once I get my custom open air chassis finished. Jake

How do they handle the sales tax?
Amazon charges me 7%.
so 700 dropped by 15% = 595 but add the 7% sales tax it is back to 636.65.
This is the reason I don't use purse as the sales tax hurts. Maybe I am wrong and they won't charge that sales tx.
That is very good question. Actually no idea.

That is very good question. Actually no idea. Your discount comes after taxes is applied From what I understand from the website and emails they sent me you say what you will pay for an item and it goes on a list for people with Amazon gift cards to accept. So the people that accept your bitcoin price are the ones who actually pay the sales tax and shipping. Could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

the best price I got was 669 - 8% for a 1080ti that was 615 usd with 6 months to pay it 0 payments 0 fees.
Phil I wrote you and somebody else that you can get 15% discount easily on purse.io paying in BTC. I've purchased some stuff from there How do they handle the sales tax? Somestimes There is 0 shipping and 0 sales tax on purse.. seems oddly random but may have to do with the distributors. the purse website shows you before you confirm the order what the value of salex tax is

Purse may be a good place to buy stuff that just had a nice price dump on Amazon via camelcamelcamel or some such. Guess there could be other reasons but I rarely spend bitcoin. If you can wait to buy, just use camelcamelcamel for price alerts and don't give a percentage of your cost savings to potential arbitrage. I'm just guessing, but ain't no free lunch.

I like Amazon with gift cards. I earn 20 in amazon gift cards every month. So i Would get a card once a year or so. I like the return policy they have.
I have found some very solid eBay sellers with no tax 30 day returns and I try to wait for ebuck sales. 8% or 10% off the list price then use paypal credit 6 months to pay.
can't complain about that.

Phil just got the RX480's delivered at the house, will be installing them tomorrow or Wednesday. You happen to remember what settings you ran with them? I will start there for baseline testing. Thanks.
well on smOS i did 1150 core 2150 memory 0 power stage 70% fan. I always ran them on smOS for zec i did 1175 2050 1 power stage 70% fan Phil, been fiddling with the cards for a week now in smOS and think I found a pretty stable OC for them all. I flashed all 4 cards and was able to get much better speeds in both Ethereum mining and Eth+Decred. Using your values above I was able to get around 24.5 MH/s dual mining with eth at around 135 watts. After flashing I was able to reach speeds around 29.3 MH/s dual mining and dropping memclocks to 2185 (2200 was too unstable I saw big fluctuations in MH/s). Right now after flashing I'm sitting around 117 MH/s for Eth while dual mining. They will solo mine eth at 30.4 MH/s. I will be testing them on ZEC soon. Using custom .bat on claymore v9.3: -wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal worker.1 -dpsw x -dcri 30 Will be fine tuning Powerstage (currently 4) and testing stability. Cards have worked flawlessly thanks!

Also, Amazon Store Card with Prime gets you 5% cash back on all purchases. You also have the option for 6 or 12 months no interest instead of the cashback. Sometimes you can find retailers on there selling from another state that doesn't charge taxes as well. This is how I've been buying most of my gear. I like Amazon with gift cards. I earn 20 in amazon gift cards every month. So i Would get a card once a year or so. I like the return policy they have.

I've been doing Amazon store card for 5% back and subscribe and save 15+% off for several years. I compare to walmart and it's almost always same price or close enuf on basics every body needs. Takes some discipline but I'be not paid a fricking dime in interest yet. Took me awhile to get my game going but retail shopping is minimal for us now except groceries. Finally got thumped on sales tax last month but that was a LONG time coming. If you're good at not carrying credit balances you beat them at their game SO easy. They don't care because most people suck at beating their game. I average over a hundred Amazon buys per year on Prime and actually profited a bunch reselling their phones that weren't for me and a few other things. Not to mention time and money savings driving around buying stuff and bunches of easy promos.. All hail Amazon, you just have to do 15 minutes a week work once you work it out to win their game if you're well informed. Sorry to be a bit off topic but you can beat electronics pricing there too sometimes if you play your cards right and learn how they screw a lotta people. You don't have to be in that group. Selling there can be teh same on cheap items, I make 50% gross profit often on certain dollar store items and the buyers are 99.9% happy. I like carrying 0 inventory on that dollar store stuff.

Looks like your 1070 is hashing fine.
Your card isn't mostly in p2 state while mining, not p0.
There's ways to force it via the built in nvidia tools, or to use kboost in precision x 16.
Follow the batch link in my sig for info on forcing p0 state. 3 links deep.
I opened up the nvidia control panel applet in the windows settings, and my hash rate jumped from 390 to 460 H/s. The rendering of the spinning nvidia logo made the card jump to a higher performing state. Power went from 50W to 80W, though, as reported by Afterburner. What is a reasonable power draw for the 1070? Well those first 390h you are at 7.8 h to 1 watt which is really good. When you are at 460h you are at 5.75 h to 1 watt which is not as good but still good. I measure at the wall with a kwatt meter and I do 3.3 h per watt. I know at the wall is more power used . I am not sure what my afterburner shows for power since I run windows 7 . I found this article on how to manually set the P state. http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/p0-power-state/ But... my version of the driver 381.65 does NOT return the power state table, so I'm unsure of what to set. I'll experiment with values and see what happens. C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI>nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS | more ==============NVSMI LOG============== Timestamp : Mon May 01 08:41:35 2017 Driver Version : 381.65 Attached GPUs : 6 GPU 0000:01:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A GPU 0000:02:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A GPU 0000:03:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A GPU 0000:04:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A GPU 0000:05:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A GPU 0000:06:00.0 Supported Clocks : N/A C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI> sorry about the late reply been busy , the above is what i get well since ppl declined to post thier 1070 ZEC settings I was able to get the whole rig down to 750 watt using 60% power limit and reducing the core overclock to 0. total hash lower a bit 2400 but only 105 or so watt per card now. Seems the core on these cards does nothing even dual mining eth and DCR only mem an power target seem to affect speed

Having a bit of trouble with a 1080 on an AMD 990FX mobo. The 1080 Nvidia card is Dell branded, if that matters, not "retail". My 1070 Zotac works just fine in this machine.
The machine will not even post if the 1080 is the only card. If it is a secondary card, it is not detected by windows 10. If I put the card in an Intel-based motherboard, all is well.
Any ideas? I really want to keep it in the rig it is in, but I'm not having much luck.

I know it sounds stupid for me to say this, but try a clean install and download of the driver for the 1080 specifically. Ive noticed going backwards isnt bad, going up in generations (driver wise) is....
