Coins got over 2500
sold .4 for 999 after fees.
Still wondering how high before a crash?
Sold at:
2500 1900 1650 1500
I could have been more patient.
Still lots of profit taken.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

What is amazing to me is that most exchanges are showing "sold out" notices and buying BTC by cash and credit card are all time high, even Coinbase is overwhelmed (well at least in my part of the world). Maybe they will offer me a nice premium to sell my BTC to them... This week is the best week of my group's mining operations since 2 over years ago... to celebrate, we just ordered 3 x Zotac 1070 Mini for the Gaming M5 Z170 mobo to be mining along side with the 3 x Auros 1080Ti on also a Gaming M5. The NVIDIA farm is slowly coming to reality -- I never thought NVIDIA mining could be this exciting esp with fullzero's Linux miner and the necessary evil OS.... WIN10.

Am mining Skein with 1 each 1080ti, 1080, and 980ti.
Alexis miner:
ccminerAlexis78.exe -r 0 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1CHNWD6KFsVgfGf3jEKLx5N3MJCp1oGRon -p c=BTC -i 25
got home from work at 3:30 pm and found the miner had shut down around 6 am.
odd... First off, you should try this to see if anything changes: ccminerAlexis78.exe -i 25 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u 1CHNWD6KFsVgfGf3jEKLx5N3MJCp1oGRon -p c=BTC,skein,stats
I know its a minor change, but may have something to do with it. Made those changes on the 980 ti on seperate rig, but am thinking it was the nicehash cpu miner using too many resources. Shut it down and no problems yet

Has anyone had any luck mining with Windows 8? Wondering if it will run 8 gpu.
https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=155But I'm asking myself which windows 8 it is ? is professionnal enough ? or do we need the rare enterprise edition ? what about SMos, would it handle the 8 GPUs on that MB ?

Given the totally unusable so-called "user interface" on 8, you can't PAY me to try to use that turkey piece of junk in a mining machine ever again. One attempt, and never got past the damned default so-called UI in 6 hours of TRYING was more than enough. It took me less than an hour on that SAME machine (that came preinstalled with 8 and SUPPOSEDLY already had miner software installed) to blow 8 off it, install LINUX, install dependencies, compile and install and configure mining software, and get the machine hashing. It says a lot about 8 that it looks like Microsoft is going to support it for a SHORTER total period of time than they offered support for ME or Vista (both of which got outlived by YEARS by previous Windows versions). When even Microsoft concedes an OS version is junk......you KNOW it's got to be horrible!

There won't be major differences in core functionality between Professional and Enterprise. Nothing that matters to mining anyways. Honestly though, Windows 10 works very well as a miner straight out of the box so I don't see much reason not to upgrade. Has anyone had any luck mining with Windows 8? Wondering if it will run 8 gpu.

This is silly. You simply are not knowledgeable or skilled with the Windows OS, which is fine; this isn't the fault of the OS. The same hour, it takes you to setup a Linux install, I could install Windows 8/10 from scratch and have a miner up and running. Heck I could probably do three or four back to back with how fast Windows installs these days. The longest part would be waiting for the graphics drivers to install. Use what you are familiar with, leave the rest to people that are familiar with them. Spreading this kind of BS really isn't helpful to anyone. Has anyone had any luck mining with Windows 8? Wondering if it will run 8 gpu.

I deleted this as I don't want fights over windows 7,windows 8, windows 10 as usual I quoted the deleted post. I like 7 I don't like 8 at all 10 has a few tricks to master so you don't get the mining software deleted and so you can stop updates.

yes; 8 sucks donkeyball$. Plain and simple. Another Vista/Me, if you ask me.
Win 7 is useful, and doesn't fail... yet...
Win10 is pretty solid; but once you get past the need for auto-updates, etc... all that phil mentioned.
I wont be using win10 on my "off the grid/satellite" mining locations I am working on. Cellular connections are not data friendly; and having a whole farm on a cellular connection try and process updates is retarded (so far the PC-PC on LAN update sharing has done d!ck for saving me some bandwidth every month). I have finally worked on a huge group of IP range bans, and other firewall/hosts filters to prevent machines on win10 from updating. One trick is to keep only a few hundred Mb free to not make it possible for it to even download them....
But, in locations where data count is going to matter, I can; and will not use 10 for that reason.
Otherwise its my first choice honestly.

I upgraded al my win 10 to enterprise and then did some command line crap. and it is pretty much update free. but frankly for me win 7 was a pleasure and still is a pleasure to use. I am not anti linux or anti mac. or anti amd or anti nvidia or anti much of anything at all. two exceptions are windows 8 and segwit. but I just want the thread to be friendly more then anything. The world of crypto coin has just had insane monster growth and a ton of money is moving around. So lets party. I just got another nvidia 1080 ti and have one coming on tues tomorrow I am bringing a 1080 to a friend in Brooklyn. I have an asus strix 1070 and a msi 1060 3gb which have to go. I may get 2 more galax katana 1070's. so final gear would be 13 x 1080 ti's 4 x Galax katana 1070's both zec and skein are doing so well I find it hard to believe things are this good.

That's super kickass! I'm building more 1080ti rigs because of you guys as well lol Thanks for the inspiration! What miner u using for ZEC? I am using Nemos as you guys suggested which is going well with the 1070's and 1080 Ti's. Only getting 800-850 on the 1080ti's and getting around 400-450 on the 1070's. I just don't think my afterburner settings are that great.

same.... I am still blown away by my daily profitability on my personal miners (the ones I don't profit split)...
The snowball effect is in full force.... Henry's one machine buys 2 used 1080's a month. That's some damned good growth.
My altcoin trading account last night hit all of my sell orders for my big holdings aside from 2 coins; and Im all in with the .06 on my exchange account on low value coins that have yet to blossom. They can't ever get cheaper, so ANY movement is a big increase for me.
I still play a few day trades now and then when I feel like sitting at a casino; but I definitely (so far) earn way more with my miners and have two friends working with me right now to build them rigs like the last 1080 rackminer I did. The 1K+/mo is too tempting to many =)
Even if BTC tanks to > 1500; I always pay outright for my hardware, and consider it "paid off" when bought, and Ill still be making plenty of profit, so the future looks bright indeed.
What happens when ETH goes POS; I personally think It won't be as bad as i have imagined.

That is the same way I view hardware, too. I buy hardware with "the house's money" at this point. The resale value of any cards/rigs is just gravy. When ETH goes POS, we go ETC

See that bold even if it tanks to 1500. My sell point was 1200. for the first coin I sold to coin base. This month.😀 I will have to file a capital gains return next year. Since coin base will report my gains.

Yeah; It's interesting how this will all play out on the government/tax side of things. ...how the government starts trying to tax a person to person BTC exchange, or some other type of trade service; will be an interesting thing to watch in the years to come. Since they can't exactly levy or prove anything beyond what is exchanged for fiat at a "bank".... I'm curious on where this will all lead the FED and the IRS to behave.... The IRS is already a criminal entity by action... (stealing your possessions and incarcerating you for not ***voluntarily*** paying them is a prime example)... [yes, federal income tax compliance as defined in the tax code is: voluntary" There is no federal law code or statute that requires you to pay an income tax.... there's a group that wrote their own code that forces you to do it.... "The tax code" is by no means "binding law" in the slightest.... I wonder when people will wake up to that notion... anyways, i'm done ranting on that tangent. Food for thought.

Isn't it all about establishing a cost basis? Buying then selling BTC is a pretty cut and dry calculation. How do you derive a cost when mining? Does electricity and hardware costs come into play? Can I deduct noise pollution? My wife would want to
