a very high price to be paid by United. but it is their big ambition to make the team perform better. hopefully, Tan Hag's choice is not wrong by bringing the Ajax striker at a high price.

Manchester united and Antony can breathe a sigh of relief after the deal finally happened, because previously Ajax had said NO to every offer that came in to Antony and kept Antony at Ajax, I don't know if Antony could be Manchester best purchase or the high price would be become a nightmare for Manchester United later, indeed we admit that Antony is a good player but will he be able to adapt and compete in a competitive league as competitive as the English league later?

Unfortunately, this 100mil is not all going to Ajax, Santos has a 20% share from this deal which happens to be the mother team of this deal, so Ajax was being smart on this business deal knowing another team has a stake in this, which makes this a big win for them.

Man United has really become a source of income for Ajax in this summer's transfer window. After successfully getting 57 Million euros from the sale of Lisandro Martinez, now they will get fresh funds again because it seems Ajax has agreed 100 Million euros deal for Man United to sign Antony. I think Man United is quite reckless and too extravagant in spending because I don't think Antony is worth more than 60 million euros. He did play well at Ajax but the Premier League is on a different level to the Eredivisie. 100 million euros is a very fantastic transfer value and it can become a burden if what is expected does not match expectations (as happened to Maguire).

Wesley Fofana is another one, Maguire of Manchester United rather they protect this players at all cost because they own the Media. I think it is not about "overpaying" for these type of clubs. They are paying because Ajax wouldn't sell to United type of clubs unless they pay so much. Let's assume Dortmund offered 50-60 million, they may have accepted, or maybe Lazio offered 30 million, they may have still considered it. Look at Bayern, they are a big club too and got Ryan for so much cheaper, because it was a legit offer and all they could offer, Ajax knew this so they had to either accept or reject.
