He made weird player choices and he never really fully connected with the team, at least that was my perception. But anyway, part of the truth is that the team fell apart and it wasn't possible for them to replace all these stars that worked so well hand in hand. When you lose Iniesta, Xavi, Neymar, Messi, Suarez, and many others that were an integral part of this amazing team when they were in their prime, I think any coach taking over would have an incredibly hard time to be as successful as before. Therefore, Xavi was doing ok, but I don't consider him one of the best coaches despite winning La Liga.

If Barcelona appoints a new manager to their club and if they can give the new manager financial freedom then maybe the manager can do well in the transfer market by signing several players with Barcelona but it is very difficult for a new manager to do well with the current team. Xabi is a Spanish footballer and he is a former Barcelona player and he has been able to perform quite well with this team. All the players under him are very used to Xabi's tactics, so if a new manager is appointed now, the team's performance may be worse because of that manager's different tactics. Maybe considering all these aspects, Barcelona extended the contract with Xabi for one more season. Although the contract period has been extended till 2025, this period can be extended later.

Arne Slot doesn't really sound like it would be too bad, I do not understand why "big name" manager thing is a talking point, Arne Slot has done great job so far and I believe that he would be a good manager for Liverpool.

What matters is that they should be considering the deal to be for long term, and if they know what they are doing then they could see him do a lot better with him building a team for his system. That's the problem with current teams, they hire a manager and before that manager installs his system to the team, they fire that manager for "failing", the manager usually doesn't get enough time to actually do something. I believe that we can't really make that type of change and we should consider getting a lot better results with better and better time.

Liverpool already made name for itself and as such people's expectation has gone beyond this shocking agreement between them and unrecognized couch. I personally don't have much knowledge about Slot managerial skills but Liverpool management knows better and just for accepting this offer and challenge, he has earned some respect and I believe he will be compared with one of the best couches ever.

Even Klopp wasn't too fantastic when he came to Liverpool but as time goes on, he is now one of the best couches in the football history. Slot will also succeed if he can get the necessary support from the club and the players and of course, the fans too. Not much should be expected from him yet because the first season will probably be difficult for him. I see how excited he is to become the red new head couch and I believe he will deliver despite the competition in the league. First of all, this shouldn't be happening in the first place, xavi  shouldn't be leaving Barcelona now because he is the man best fit for the job, ok let look at how Barcelona have performed in the past two seasons under his leadership as the manager, they are not that bad the way the media made it looks like, considering the fact that most of the players bought are not what he as a coach really wanted, but since they were free transfer,  he just have to accept it, because that's what the club can afford, they actually can't go for the kind of players he wanted due to lack of funds.

I think with all the problems that have occurred in the past, both Man United and Mourinho certainly don't want a reunion to happen, so it is very likely that Mourinho's name is already on Man United's blacklist. I don't see any possibility of Mourinho returning to Manchester United, because after all this time Mourinho has not performed well at Manchester United, indeed currently Manchester United is in the search for a new manager but I think Manchester will not make Mourinho as an option to replace Ten Hag, Morineho's coaching is very short and only ended in disappointment for both parties at that time,  I think at the moment Manchester United's owners will be inclined to find another coach and maybe Zidane could be the right solution to replace Ten Hag at Manchester United next season.

After his rollercoaster experience, I doubt he'd want to use that pressure cooker again. Winning awards is different from being dumped. Left a mark. Not sure he wants to risk it again. With Jose likely out, United needs a game-changer without baggage. Liverpool needs out-of-the-box thinking like Arne Slot. Chelsea still needs a process to be truly stable in terms of performance, with last season having made a lot of player changes, it is not easy to be able to compete in the EPL. But if the fans are a little patient next season the results could be much better than now. As a fairly well established English club, Chelsea in the hands of Todd Boehly, has many procontra.
