Modric is still an ambitious player. Even at this age he is keen on playing for as much minutes as possible. However from now on his era is coming to an end sadly.  

I don't know whether he is still planning to extend his contract. But even if he does he would accept it by knowing that he would be used as a rotation player quite often. In his first season Liverpool finished as the 8th, in his second and third seasons they finished as the 4th. It took Klopp 3 years to start making Liverpool competitive for the Premier League title.

My point here is that you can't achieve success if you just blame it on the manager only without thinking of the other factors. Injuries and the weakness of the squad are the biggest factors why Manchester United have been struggling. Patience and taking the right steps are very important things.

I know that many of you here might disagree with me, but there is more to a career than titles. As a club player, well ok you got a point there. But if a player decides to be loyal and play for a club almost the whole career and was a brilliant player, how is that not a great achievement? There's honestly zero competition between these coaches, Graham Potter best season in the Premier League Competition is ten while Southgate was a flop as a player and also a manager even during his time as a manager for Aston Villa years back. How do you bring up such poor retards in.

Yep. I heard the news from Fabrizio Romano that the future of Kroos and Modric will be decided very soon. Both players are expected to meet with Real Madrid president before the final UCL. The decision of the future of both players will be made soo. So we must be patient to wait for the decision of Real Madrid management.

Since Modric is 38 years already, I think Real Madrid won't extend the contract of Modric but they will offer Modric for a new job to be a part of the coaching staff. I heard this news few weeks ago that Ancelotti may offer Modric for the job. Meanwhile for Toni Kroos, he is still 34 years old and looks ready to play for 1-3 years more for Real Madrid. Because of this reason, I also believe Real Madrid will keep him in Real Madrid squad for the next season.
