I think Bitcoin is a global currency already. So much people are already using it,with global reach and covered almost all countries in the world.Though it is still not used mainstream, but we feel already its importance.

It takes more than an increase in users to make Bitcoin as the currency of the future. Yes Bitcoin has a price that no Fiat currency at present can match but it must be a recognized currency by the government to even consider it being the future of money. Also I don't think that there is over 10% of the world's population that uses Bitcoin we need to look at the numbers first before assuming something that Bitcoin won't accomplish as of the moment.

Bitcoin is already a virtual currency. It is accepted all over the world which makes it global currency too. Yes in future, more and more people will get into bitcoin. Thus making it a widely accepted virtual currency. This is just a beginning.

You do not have to wait for the future, it is a currency right now. Japan has started it by making bitcoin legal in their country. Soon, other countries may follow as well. Institutional investors are coming in. It will be a stable currency soon.

I believe that bitcoin is one of the future's currency aside from the traditional ones. Bitcoin will keep going up until the bitcoins is fully mined and it will result for a very high price and we can get a lot of benefit from that and that is why bitcoin will be the possible big currency in the world that is fully adopted by the people around the world.

I see that the more bitcoin the more users seen from the significantly increased bitcoin price increase, is this a sign that bitcoin will soon become the future virtual currency?
Price alone is not the best indicator of popularity and adoption of a coin.

Someone might create a new altcoin with ridiculously low supply which could be traded for thousand dollar per token.

I don't like term of 'virtual' either. Money is money, do you know that over 90% of fiat money exists only in digital form?

Many already speculated that bitcoin will be the future currency of the world these past years. Their very reasons is stressed on the continuous increase of bitcoin's value as well as the number of users. However, at this point, there are too few people who uses bitcoin and in order to make bitcoin as a worldwide currency, the majority of people must use bitcoin. Who knows when will that happen. The biggest hindrance of this to happen is the government.

Probably not Bitcoin but some other coin, yes! I am talking about payments in stores, restaurants, etc, where right now Bitcoin payment takes much longer than the NFC credit card payment, which is ultra fast. So i think directly through wallet it would not work. Unless we are talking about online payments, then it is much better suited. But i don't see it as a currency.

I'm not sure, we have to admit that the influence of the USD is still too strong and it's hard to be defeated as long as the USA is still the leader of the world, they will not let any defeated USD including bitcoin.

Yes, I agree with you but already bitcoin is becoming the major currency in the world and in coming it will automatically convince the US government.
The USA is leader everyone know about it, already one of the major popular countries like Japan have declared Bitcoin as a payment method in their country.

Bitcoin may become a major currency but whatever happens, it won't defeat USD or any fiat money. Yes, its value is high but it the way it's being used is through internet so a major attack on Internet may disrupt all transaction or maybe just a normal brownout or blackout. And with the transaction fees going up with its may affect transaction traffic. So whatever happened bitcoin will not overtake USD or any fiat money.

I think for it to gain more widespread acceptance and relevance the usability needs to be improved. It seems similar to PGP. In principle it is not hard to set up, hoewever, many people that are not as technically skilled as others have trouble to do so...

I do not know if it is even possible to alter the system currently in place so vastly that it becomes quite usable for everyone with a smartphone without compromising its security...

I think yes, bitcoin is the currency in the future if the problem on bitcoin (block size) can be fixed or there are other solution
bitcoin is not currency because it still not be suitable for small transaction, wait up to there are not problem on bitcoin
and mass adoption in bitcoin, it will be future of currency in the internet.

Higher price mean more marketcap for bitcoin and more marketcap means more stable price for bitcoin. When price will become somewhat stable it will be idle currency but it will loss its charm as investment.

Bitcoin is already a virtual currency most people love to use rather than fiat.

Yes, but bitcoin be accepted by stores around the world still little, needs couples years later until bitcoin become currency because many peoples who doesn't know about bitcoin and technology behind bitcoin, beneficial of bitcoin and other also bitcoin is still hard be used for payment method because of high fees transaction.

Yes surely bitcoin is the most popular and most success virtual currency in this day and have a highest price in the market no one alt coin pass the success of it so probably in the future bitcoin will become the virtual currency and we can use the online market also maybe they will change the pshysical money to something like this idea.

As much as I think it's the currency of the future, I do worry about keeping lots of money in a system that relies on network accessability and electricity. Maybe it's the dommsday prepper in me but I like to diversify my investments into BTC, Alt-coins, gold/silver, cash and things I can use to be more self sufficient today and in the future (solar/wind, etc). I don't wanna be that guy around the fire saying 'I was a millionaire until they flipped the switch". I might be being dramatic, but think about it.

Bitcoin finally touched 1500 dollars, i'm not an optimistic guy but i trully believe it would be like "gold virtual" i prefer to call it as investment tool rather than virtual currency, why? idk is it just me or.. that i felt bitcoin is not ready to be a virtual currency especially on the future because it is too slow, the confirmation time should be fixed first, there are many faster crypto and payment form out there, we need something fast i know that you can decrease the confirmation time by increase the fee, for big transaction i think it doesn't matter but for small transaction well it's a serious problem.

I guess Yes It will be the universal currency in the future because of the trend of a computer. The online market or shoppine is now available which you can use bitcoin the buy or to shop online. And also bitcoin use to invest,  to gamble and to trade that is why Bitcoin deserve to be a universal currency in the future.

Agree with your opinion, if bitcoin could be the future currency because today's advancement has been demanded using computerized so all integrated, now we can spend online by way of payment using bitcoin without having to use bank account or credit card

well not exactly that, but it mean that bitcoin is growing well and more people are using it, helping the coins to have correct distribution, to have a successful coins you need first to have a large users base that hold each one their share, if few people hold a big amount of coins you won't go anywhere with it, the more country will see bitcoin as a currency and incorporate in their daily activity the more bitcoin will increase, i'm waiting for more regulation of other big country like
