So NVO turned into a scam shitshow!!? Thank God i sold all end of last year. Hope theres something that can be done to get these fuckers for those hurt by this!!!

It's been a scam shitshow since the beginning  Smiley Good to hear that you got out early. Even the escrows want to screw the holders lol

It does seem to be that way.  Until funds are moved to a public address and the address signed by an escrow agent, I would advise everyone to hold the appropriate parties responsible for this lack of transparency.  The only reasons that Lauda would not move funds to a public address and sign it is 1) he's lying about the amount of funds raised, or 2) he's lying about what he's been using those funds for.  Escrows work for the buyers, not the ICO.  If they are refusing to show your money and account for it, they have effectively already scammed you, regardless of the outcome.

thank you for pointing this out. That's a good assessment and summary

Wait, what? A refund in fiat currency is that a joke? I hope it's some misunderstanding.

If the value of BTC collapsed during the past one year instead of increasing, would you still give us back $0.5 per token?

You wouldn't. Because it's just not possible and reveals how flawed this logic is.

I didn't gave you dollars, or euros, or Turkish Lira. I invested a specific amount of bitcoins, not dollars, and I expect a partial refund in bitcoins. While I understand a 100% refund is impossible and money was spent (stolen) by the developers, I don't understand why would such a flawed logic for a refund be used. It's literally stealing from people, the community gave this project a specific amount of bitcoins and they were hold in an escrow for our protection, now whatever's left should be redistributed if a refund is proceeded with.

I hope this is a misunderstanding and people came up false accusations again.

I recieved this message today in the bitcointalk forum:
"
NVO project is one of the largest frauds to take place to date. The "milestones" are only used as a pretext for extracting and misappropriating millions of dollars of investors money in unjust enrichment of a group of scammers who had no intention of finishing this project. This is all an act or drama they are playing out now in order to close in huge profit playing good cop/bad cop between themselves. The argument between the devs is only an excuse/smokescreen so they can walk free and clear with millions of dollars and hand you back a pittance after using your coins for over a year with bitcoin multiplying in price and stealing all the forks from those coins.

It is fraud and theft on a massive scale.

"
I contacted my lawyer who now makes contact to a specialist for economic crime in the eu - i am willing to fill a lawsuit in the European Union against all members of the nvo board and also against the escrow - i don´t know if any of them lives in Europe, but i hope so. The first step is to file charges at the police in Germany, which will be done today. I have a pretty good legal expenses insurance which will pay for the lawyers - i would be even fine with a legal settlement, but i would prefer to see some of these scammers in court.
it´s not even about the money, i "only" invested 2 btc - but i am so pissed about this team, the miscommunication and where all this led to. Nevertheless, i am not very confident that this will head anywhere - but at least i will give it a try.

I think the team only developed the "wallet" for the milestone. The escrow holds still most of the coins - so the escrow is also in possession of the fork money (BCC, BCG, BCD etc.) - they have no right to keep that money.

I liked the concept too, but this smells all too fishy - the delays, tswrs shilling, the murder story told by ton, the story that imed is a psychopath, the disappear of yanni and so on - that all sounds like a very bad mexican daily soap.

Just fyi.

You are absolutely right. Escrows play crucial part in the mismanagement of funds and the defraud of the ICO purchasers.

I applaud your decision to take legal action against these people. Many of the investors got confused, scammed or simply have reconciled with fact that their investment is complete loss and the project won't be viable. I hope more victims will follow your example and proceed like you. Remember that 3% of the ICO contributors haven't received their tokens yet and now the team is using them most probably to cast votes for refund and enrich themselves even more.

Cooly,  in the same post you are claiming investors will have a complete loss yet NVO team will try to receive refund from the 3% of holders still to receive their tokens.  So which is it smartypants?  Complete loss or refund?

Official NVO / NVST shill here to spit some truth and distinguish this massive FUD campaign that is taking place right now.

To The Moon and Back Again: NVO Success Story
My journey with NVO started when I seen an NVO ICO banner ad on Coin Market Cap. I'll be honest, I didn't even read the ad... I didn't have to because the graphic of the lambo shaped rocket ship blasting off to the moon with the NVO logo was enough for me to click to see what they were about. The website was visually appealing to the eye, the design was modern, fresh and sleek, which is one of the main things I look for when investing in an ICO. After my initial website assessment, I immediately started my vigorous 128-point ICO due diligence process inspection.

Due Diligence Process
I start my due diligence inspection by downloading and reviewing the white paper. While on the introduction page of the white paper my dyslexia kicked into overdrive and every sentence started and ended with word Lambo... I was immediately hooked and convinced myself this was a sign from God. However, I needed to gather more information before making any rash decisions. I gathered cold hard facts from reputable sources such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. My first search query and I'm already seeing the usual FUD stating NVO is a scam... I was convinced this project must be fraudulent until I discovered a link to a thread where one of the co-founders publically attacks reputable experts within the cryptosphere. I couldn't believe it! The founder of a project I'm about to throw my entire life savings at just dished out the most ultra savage verbal beatdown I've ever seen in my entire miserable life... Two words came to mind "WORLD STAR!" This aggregated evidence increased my risk-to-reward ratio tenfold... I was all in at that point! I didn't care that my wife, friends, co-workers and neighbors all told me it was a bad idea... hell even my dog was like "don't do it!" I didn't care, because I knew deep down in my heart that if there was any project that was going to take me to the moon, it was NVO.

Now that I had completed my due diligence process and calculated my risk-to-reward ratios I was ready to become an official member of the NVO community. I quickly logged into my CoinsMarkets.com account and sold off my entire portfolio of shitcoins, I had nothing to lose at this point as I was already operating in the red. Finally, I copy the NVO bitcoin address, take a deep breathe and click the send button... that's it, I did it! My entire crypto portfolio liquidated, I was now the official owner of 0.16 BTC worth of NVO... I could smell the leather interior of my future Aventador.

Fast Forward: Current State
I've read a lot of your comments and I'm disgusted with all of your misinformation, fake news, false accusations and unsupported claims. You all knew before investing in this project what you were getting yourself into. It sounds to me as if none of you did any type of research prior to investing. You act as if you didn't know the core developer touts himself as being a genius autistic savant with borderline asperger's syndrome. You cannot sit there, behind your keyboards and state you didn't know he has a track record of ultra savagely not taking shit from anyone, especially those who disagree with his ideologies. Rather than bashing him for the work that he has failed to produce, you should be praising him for his savage character demeanor.

I have 100% faith in this project and I will continue to support NVO.

Oh and by the way, while you are all screaming this project is a scam, I bet you all missed out on the FREE NVST Voting Tokens that just got airdropped to all NVST token holders. Just ask yourself, if this project was exit scamming, why would they go through the hassle of issuing Voting tokens? Because, they have BIG plans in the near future and I'm going to reap all the benefits while you complainers sit behind your keyboards crying that you missed the boat to lambo town.

Even though that they are excluded, it's a crime that the legitimate owners have not received their tokens for over a year, they should be able to proceed with their tokens as they see fit ( sell them, vote for refund or against refund).

It's very inconvenient due to the current situation, but definitely not a crime. Despite repeated warnings to not use custodial wallets (exchanges et. al.) when investing Bitcoin, a lot of people did this. Had the NVO team sent their tokens right away to those addresses, they would have been lost for ever. At least this way there is a chance for verification and recovery..
