No defense is necessary for something that people hold as part of their living conditions when it is reality. But when you continue to reject God, there is no defense for you.

With the Bible words that you are showing, above, God is bringing the position of slavery out into the beginnings of freedom for the slave. Prior to that wording from God, there was no punishment for the slave-owner even if the slave died at his hands.

Evolution exists and we can see it even in our lifetime. Look at the people in the 50s of the last century and present-day people. Now the youth grows and they are much higher. Children start to sit and walk faster. All this is an example of evolution on a short stage.
