So guys, we still haven't decided what is currently the most profitable coin and algorithm for 1080Ti? Currently my setup looks like this:

miner: EWBF 0.3.4b,
mining algorithm: equihash,
average speed (1 card): 700-720 sol/s,
pool: equihash nicehash

My average profitability with EWBF miner with one 1080Ti is: 0,0020 BTC/day (reading taken from nicehash website), which translates to 5$/day. Seems kinda low to me...

I still haven't decided if it's more profitable to mine ZEC directly, deposit it to poloniex, trade it for BTC and then withdraw it back to bitcoin wallet. There is 0,15/0,25% sell fee on poloniex if you want to exchange ZEC for BTC and 0,01 % withdraw fee, if you want to withdraw BTC from your poloniex account to your BTC hardware wallet. So 0,26% fee is the highest fee you're going to pay if you trade your ZEC to BTC and then withdraw it to your BTC wallet on poloniex. Of course that is if you mine on pool without fee (like slush pool) and also excluding 2% dev fee for EWBF miner.

On the other hand nicehash has a total fee of about 4,16% (in my case). On pay day I had 0,0408828 BTC and payment fee was 0,00163531 BTC, so in the end I received 0,03924749 BTC to my bitcoin wallet, which translates to 4,16% payment fee. In case you are wondering 0,00163531 BTC is 4,1$, so I have to mine for nearly one day a week (with one card) just to pay for payment fee on nicehash. But what makes nicehash special is no worries about transferring coins between wallets, trading them and then withdrawing them back to your BTC wallet.

Your thoughts?

What i think right now is, let's think of a coin that's gonna make a boom after the fork. Pick a coin then mine it for a month before the fork, hardware wallet it. Then if you dont want to play the game just use nicehash? Let's forget about the math right now for the upcoming fork. what'd you think?

What about MonaCoin, Vertcoin or LBRY? Currently mining these three coins is more profitable than mining ZEC (according to whattomine) and if one of them blows up, then you have hit a goldmine.

I'm solely focused on LBRY myself on my 4 1080 TI mining rigs, with the expectaction that it'll bull up in the market with the netx 6-12 months.  I could be wrong but that's just my expectation after studying the coin and it's development efforts so far.

Anyone expert enough to put in a formula or calculation on taking in the future estimated difficulty to meassuare if it is worthwhile to pay double the electricity in exchage of lesser difficulty for maybe higher zcash output?
Will the extra 100 sol pays off when factor in next three to six month opportunity cost?

Most existing calculators include watts and cost/KWH to figure net income.

Hi all,

I'm trying to divesify my rigs as I have 50+ 1060 and 12 RX.
I'm thinking on building some 1080ti's rigs and I wanted some feedback:
What is the hashrate on Skein: 1000Mh/s? How much a day are you guys making on 1 card: is 16$/day still a thing?
Are you guys mining anything other than Skein?

Thanks

I have 3x Gigabyte 1080 Ti, 950MH with each GPU for Skein with 85% TDP, total daily income 16-20$

Please send me your miner config, I have a lot of invalid share.

Thank you.

I set my current as
Amp extreme core. asus tool OC mode +20, reduce limit to 80%, get 720-730 range. Reduced by 50W from 110% default OC mode
Amp edition at 90% with 705-710 range

I use minepoolhub to mine skein, pool hashrate is 1T, 0.9%fee, very nice.

I use that too. Thinking is testing theblocksfactory. Maybe others who use it can share?

MPH so far ok. I dont know if that the best as dont hv enough rigs to run few pool at the same time.

Thinking about doing the same, but I won't hold large amounts of LBC, instead I will trade it for BTC every week. What miner do you use?

90% tdp.

Once again you need to keep in mind you can set the OC to +1000 but it won't give those core clock range if it isn't being given the power.

700 sol/s is a good mark for stock clocks, last time I did constant  810 sol/s with my 1080Ti Aorus at 2.0GHz boost core clock / 12GHz memory oced, 85% tdp, temps at 50-60 Celsius, fans at 100%.

Also don't forget that a lot of hashing algorithms are not memory-bound - or in other words - don't benefit at all from overclocking your GPUs memory frequency. This way you can extend the lifetime of your GPU and have some less heat produced.

E.g.

EquiHash/Groest/Skein dont care about memory frequency to much, just the core clock.
Ethash cares a lot about the memory clock.

Doing 768 sols/s with my 1080 Ti STRIX. That's a new record for me.
ZEC? I was able to do 790 but that was really pushing my FE card. If I overvolted I could easily push 2100MHz+.

Keep in mind this is under water though.

Running 2x 1080 Ti's (waiting for risers to come tomorrow to run the other 2 1080 Ti's) in LBRY right now and they are running around ~910MH/s. I am pushing my watercooled card harder on the core since it can take it easily and not break 39C.

Cool. I always wanted to set up a big rig/mining farm but I'm not sure about getting ROI. I might expand soon. My 1080 TI is doing 501 MH/s LBRY.
