Bite the bullet and got myself the private miner from sp on Sigt.

the hashrate now improved 40+ % on my ti.

Just hope the improvement can out race the difficulty.

As can see also the number of worker also double on the pool as well!

Stock miner: 33mh
private miner: I can run it above 50mh if set at 100% tdp, 200W miner reported

What you got with 80% tdp and do you push your core or mem for ti?

Also bought sp_3... but can tomorrow acces my rigs... hop tll tomorrow i can also earn something Cheesy

cheers

80% should be about 46 range on mine. Note that Amp Extreme already factory boost to above 1700 Core.

See thing is that I'm looking to buy another card for my machine within next 10 days.

I feel like 1070 is really a good value considering for gaming and mining. Especially resale aspect- I know most hardcore don't care about resale since you've already recuperated their investment but I can get a 1070 for a good price with 1 year warranty. At today's dirt low crypto prices it'll take 170 ROI and 1080ti would take 207 days- yes - in longer run it'll make more money but for people like me with 1-2 cards I have to take resale into account.

1070 is around $400 and 1080ti is around $700-800 - and I need blower style since my rig is small.

**Hopefully within in next 10 days or so before I make my purchase we get an insight about new AMD line up then maybe I can look into those lol haha

if you're in the US blower ti is 650 before tax

I'm not in US - Canada based and here the prices of cards are through the roof.
Yup, but for now for 800-1000$ you can get brand new 1080ti with 2-5 year warranty (Zotac AMP Extreme Core are at 1200$ with 5 year now).
So when counting resale value take into account manufacturer warranty as 1-2 years warranty with 1080ti investment after ROI vs no warranty at all with 1070, you will end up with 1080ti resale value being better than 1070.
Edit:
Also don't take current ROI into consideration.  To be fair and honest vs yourself always try to put your ROI at reasonable point of 12m (Gaming cards are suitable for around 8h of full load daily, as it's commonly used as "extreme" calculation, so with 3yrs warranty You are "wearing out" card to zero in 1 yr by using it 24h). Then if you can, don't cashout daily. Sell when it's high, never when it's dumping. You're hurting yourself with selling at dump. eg. I've mined ~18k dgb from start of this month. If I'd sell at dump i'll end up taking loss of about 20-40% contrary to hold all, and selling yesterday at ~2.3 cents per each. Some days they were touching 0.8 cent/ea.

I used auto miner and coincidentally I also had DGB saved up which I sold out on the pump and got BTC -made 10-20% extra that way but now for example if you are going on a vacation- you are much better to leave it into BTC automatic mode. Yeah it's risk but end goal is to accumulate BTC not other currencies which I don't know anything about.

Issue is like I stated- gamers prefer 1070 because it's a value proposition compared to 1080ti - if you game you'd understand. 1080ti is an overkill for 1440p @60hz and 1080 is good upto 120hz =120 fps in 1440p. We have more middle class people than rich looking to buy used products lol

Also, I'm getting a very good deal on 1070- that's why I'm going with that. I'll hook that up with my monitor and let 1080ti run 24/7.
1070 can run when I'm not gaming lol and I think I'll accumulate ETH -

To be honest- it's about which is the card I can get cheapest-if I had to drop $1k I'd rather put in little bit more and get Bit coin miner dedicated machines.

That's my theory.

Anyways- I've already placed the order for 1070- hopefully it'll run good with my 1080ti system lol I'll place it within the same PC.
Cheapest 1070 here is 500$ before taxes and shipping -and it's on bid- so it may end up costing more.
Thanks for all your opinions though.

I wonder why no one mines Zcash. I believe it's been the most profitable coin to mine with Ti's for a while, and it has a bright future ahead Smiley

still tons of miner mine zcash. I also continue to mine zcash just this time move to Sigt as it seems to have very great profit potential now.

That drove me to go ahead to purchase the private miner for 40+ % gain in speed.

Only hope this extra speed can help race ahead of the difficulty rise.

Also hope the Sigt price can hold and rise again soon. As of now I see many using those auto convert to cash out their Sigt that will cause the price to go down further. I believe those auto convert pool are not Queing but just sell at exchanges buy price. so it will just add pressure to downward pricing

I buy 1080ti because it's purchased from amazon shipped to malaysia, some tax involved too. Back in late may, Gtx1070 was $370 + $55 shipping, or Gtx1080ti at $659 + $70 shipping. In a 6 card rig, each card costs about $70 in rig components.

Gtx 1070 = 370 + 55 + 70 = $495 = 400 sols zcash = $1.23/sol
Gtx 1080ti = 659 + 70 + 70 = $799 = 700 sols zcash = $1.14/sol

For my personal case, the maths work out. Even if 1070 was $330, I will still go with 1080ti. Half the rig, half the problems, half the hassle. Half the shipping cost when I resell, and thats significant because it's international shipping.

I did the calculation using zcash becauase it is the largest cap coin good on nvidia cards. The calculations are even better using DGB skein as 1080ti = 2x 1070.

Wish I had USA prices, but on the bright side, crypto mining isn't taxable here. Smiley

im from philippines and the new mobo that has multi pci slot has been released, what do you think is the best combination for this mobo? .. , is it better to buy gtx 1080ti ? ... , does stronger graphics card mine's very fast than other graphics cards ? .. or there's a specific graphic card that is best for mining ? .. i want to know your ... thoughts .. Cheesy

Quite frankly with the crazy power rates in the PH I would recommend BURST mining instead.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

For a low budget rig, first play takes basic rig components. If you can buy them cheap, you overall income will be better in time, since every card need to pay for basic components first.
In my situation and by logic, if You can, 1080ti will be best option space-wise. (With 6 gpu MOBO you got better exploatation cost per PCI-E).
1080 ti will hold value better because of being top tier right now.
It really depends on what "low budget" mean for You Cheesy
For alternatives... 1070 were way to go, but if You thinking into reselling them later... You'll have hard time when all 1070 hit second hand market Cheesy

Don't even bother looking at 1080-there is no point of getting that either build a rig with 1070 or 1080ti

The point you are missing out is-even though 1070 is cheaper there are a lot more people who would choose to buy it. It's a "value" card for gamers and even for miners who are on a budget.
It also has low ROI- which means let's say mining prices stay at this very low rate- it's beneficial for cards like that.

Consider this- 1070 and 1080ti -almost gives identical ETH performance- and look at the price difference between both. I know we shouldn't mine ETH on 1080ti but it's good to have one card which can do it -if needed.

That's my opinion.

My motherboard only supports 2 cards lol- and btw Founder edition cards hold better value.

You're right, but from experience I can tell You that most of 1070 owners will take loss when cards hit resale market. If You are into mining for 2-3 months then You are doing something wrong.
When 1070 hit market (i bet end of Q4 or early Q1, when AMD will jump on with Vega), there would be overstocked 1070 supply.
And those 'value' for 1070 will be erased in probably Q2/Q3 of 2018, when 4k gaming will became kind of standard.
And tbh, I'm not a rich gamer, but if I could buy used 1080ti for ~500-600$ or 1070 for 250-400$, I'll stick to 1080ti for 4k, VR, and other shits Cheesy
But as i mention in every post - it's my personal opinion.

This was started to max out what we have - the 1080ti.
Play game to the fullest without any worried for next 1 to 2 years I believe.

And now with the mining profit, can help to support the gaming card in future. At the same time participate in the crypto world. A win win win situation.

So as to which card is the best, be it 1070 or 1080ti, as long it is profitable it already serve the purpose.

If considering into resell in future, likely 1080ti have better value but again 1070 sure can support for budget gamer too. So each has its own market so this really not a real questions.

Now it is which budget we have to acquire the card and now added with which card actually available now. lol... so no right no wrong. you make the decision at best at the time you get it. No one know what can happen.

Imagine sigt coin sudden pops up and 1st few days can give you $30 a card!!! lol...so if you only look at quick ROI, then daily watch on any opportunity but again not all new coin that you jump in can give you the return. it might be worthless so still a decision what do you want.

For slow and steady, just mine the major coin and go slow and be happy with it..

just my 2cents view that this mining need to have some hobby in mind. Else will be many sleepless nights

Im want to buy new GTX 1080Ti or 1070 for my new rig

I have some questions:

1.Between 1080Ti vs 1080 vs 1070: which is the best option right now Huh

2.Which brand will give me the best hashrate; MSI vs EVGA vs Gigabyte Aorus vs Colorful etc Huh

Im from South East Asia and my plan is to ship some card.

P/s sorry for my bad English.

Zotac Amp Extreme... runs cool and already heavily OC at stock! lol...

But the size is monster.
The Zotac Amp Extreme is inadequately cooled according to Gamers Nexus.

Does someone explain how I can install 2 1080ti on one 500W? I didnt see another double 8 pin wire to connect.

you are asking for trouble even running one 1080ti.  Easiest way to kill your GPU run it on a PSU that is too small to run it.  You would have to be running it at around 60% and it MIGHT be ok.

Unless it is a really really good brand gold or plat you are lucky it hasnt died already.

Guys,

if you could start over - would you ever get a different card?

As in a 1070 instead of a 1080ti ?

I feel like 1070 has a better ROI than 1080ti -yes in long run 1080ti may do good because of resale value since 4k gaming is becoming mainstream but if I were to make a calculated guess- 1440p at 60 fps will get affordable by next year for which 1070 is the value champion.

1080ti is good for 4k gaming at 60fps -hence value may stay up but not a lot of buyers out there.

I have had 1070's 1080's and 1080ti's.

They all have a very similar ROI as the price per performance is very equal on all cards.  You are not paying a premium for having the best card.  If anything the 1080ti performs the best for the price.  I only like to have 4 cards per rig to cut down on admin and troubleshooting if there is a problem so the density of the 1080ti's works well for me.

1080 was my least favorite as it takes up alot of room and power connectors but doesn't offer a massive perfermance step up from the 1070's.

Does anyone use the lbry sp-mod? I have created a .bat file but when I run it, it tries to connect to zpool.ca

ccminer.exe -a lbry -o stratum+tcp://lbry.suprnova.cc:6256 -u xxxx.xx -p --cpu-priority=3
pause
