Hello all,

Newbie here.

I bought a PC for gaming and just stumbled into mining.

I got a FE 1080ti and my plan is to leave it on at night from 2200 to 0700 hours.  Basically this is off peak time and cost is around 7.7c/kwh

I am currently using Nicehash Miner v1.7 and I'm getting a rate of 10.09$ per day. Is that reasonable ? or I can do better?

I also overclocked Clock is +196  - Mem - +229 mhz - temps are never above 77 Celcius

Please help , if I can do better.

I have an Electrum wallet setup and I put that in Nicehash wallet bar and I am not using my CPU i7700k at 4.7ghz (liquid cooled) at all for any kind of mining.

Something called Lyra is giving me 68 m/h.

With DGB I'm getting about $14 a day.

You can downclock your mem.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

Would it make a difference with the temps? and DGB? how do I get it?
Have you tried NiceHash? What happens to my work done ? does it go to waste or I'd still get paid for whatever work I did in the past?

Nice hashrate.

What are your frequencies/TDP for those 980 MH/s?

Will need to check once I'm home. The GPU clock automatically goes up to 1850 but I'll check the TDP. Temperature is 62C though.  Cheesy

900-1000 w
75%
+180-225
-500

Variance is due to I use about 14 different cards and they're all different, but honestly, not by much.

Biggest PIECE OF SHIT card is MSI Armor.

Fuck that card. Runs hot as shit - requires TWO 8 pins. not a 8+6

And it blows hot air the wrong fucking way.
It does hash higher, but that's most likely because it's OC'd to hell. I can't go past +180-90 without it crashing so I know it's OC'd heavy.

Yes, fuck tha card

Alright, thanks for the info.

Today I got an EVGA 1080ti  SC and with 85% TDP and +150 core I only managed to squeeze about 930-35 Mh/s on Skein.

I haven't touched voltage yet so will continue to do some tests tomorrow.

I'll put my little piece in here since everyone's doing it.

I've mined with Yiimp's DGB Skein algo, and at full TDP, stock settings I get averaged 1057Mh/s, If I undervolted the card to about 44% TDP(124W) I'd average 850-920Mh/s with -504 on the memory and +150 on the core.

The card I'm using is the EVGA FTW3 GTX 1080 Ti as seen here - https://i.imgur.com/4Hehs2Y.jpg

I've decided that mining skein wasn't profitable for me so I'm mainly mining ZClassic, ZCash, and GroestlCoin.(Averaging $10-$15 per day depending on coin value)

I'm averaging $14 a day on DGB skein. So you're saying using the CUDAminer and going zcash is better?

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

I have 3 of the Gigabyte AORUS 1080ti coming, definitely some good info here!  going to test these real world vs my current 1070's to figure out which way to go for a few more builds.

Mine's the MSI Gaming X version, love that card. Runs quiet, and even in 31C ambient it doesn't go above 62C

I'm with a multi algo nemosmimer but thinking of change to a single coin. I'm really insterested in your daily profit with each 1080 ti, 14$ in dgb sounds not bad

Apologies if this is a really stupid question but I'm a newbie and am just in the process of ordering / building my rig.

Can you mine multiple coins on each card (say 80% used for one coin and 20% on another)? If so, do they have to use the same algo?
And can you do the above for each card that you own? e.g. if I have 2 x 1080Ti's can I mine 6 different coins?

It's called hedging my bets ;-)

You can set multiple miner instances, each for a different card/s with different algos and coins.

So I currently have 5 of these 1080ti cards - MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti DirectX 12 GeForce GTX 1080 TI ARMOR 11G OC 11GB 352-Bit
http://www.ebay.com/itm/382016280684?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Currently have 4 (hope to add a 5th using the M.2 port) of them in the mining rig using nemos-zpool and trying to get the cards stable.  Haven't done any setting tweaks yet.  Will startup nemos and sometimes the rig will start mining for a few minutes other times only a handful of seconds and then the box will reboot.  Currently using nemos-1.7.4 and will try the latest 1.7.6 to see if this fixes any issues.

Anyone using this card and/or has some tweaks for it?  Trying to get nemos-zpool to work, but open to others software/pools if I can't get my cards stable.

Goal is to mine most profitable coins and then switch/store to BTC/ETH/Dash.

Thanks.

wow thats nice for skein, i wish equihash took less power being given to it as well as that haha Cheesy
You aren't finding LBRY more profitable?

I find for 520mh/s LBRY VS 750 sol/s equihash LBC is more profitable with last few days rise?

Well there's your problem right there Cheesy    "MSI ARMOR"    those things OC like shit, worse series of them all imo, not much to tell ya :/

you cant split your card custom, you will just share resources running multiple instances (and yes it can be differnet algos)

Guys,

I'm using the posted thread Alexis miner and I edited the batch file and inserted my Electrum wallet address.

When are supposed to get paid? there is no date nothing?

I saw on Nicehash miner- they show a pay out date. so far all I see in electrum wallet is Balance 0 BTC lol - I understand it'll be 0.001 or what not but still, when do we get paid ?

Also, wasn't Nicehash miner the best for nVidia cards?
