Is the payout good with Skein?

Ok so issue is, DGB (skein) is in downtrend right now but it didn't break the down channel and closed above, so it should start to climb and let's hope it'll break the descending down channel line.

With my math, I should make 9.60$ with current horrendous rate of DGB .

However, I don't run my 1080ti 24/7 , I got it for games lol. So I'm keeping a humble 4$ a day perhaps?

Running an experiment, will report back in 7 days. Next Monday.

Nicehash miner went from 9$ a day to 4$ a day today and that was my breaking point and stopped that app.

Is the payout good with Skein?

you can get a pretty good idea of what kind of payout to expect by following these two links.

1) yiimp benchmarks - http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench?algo=skein&chip=387
2.) skein (DGB) calculator - https://whattomine.com/coins/114-dgb-skein?utf8=✓&hr=900.0&p=200.0&fee=0.0&cost=0.25&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

The first link will give you a list of benchmarks for various models of the gpu currently mining skein on yiimp.  This includes hash and wattage.  Plug both those values into the calculator in the second link, and it will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

I don't have a 1080ti, but i have been thinking of getting one, so i started doing a lot of reading and stumbled upon this thread.

It's obvious that this card is not overly efficient, especially when compared to it's cheaper cousin - the 1070.  But when fine tuned it could be ok for skein, and pretty  much skein alone.  Zcash, eth or lbry it struggles on when it comes to efficiency.  If you have free or dirt cheap electricity, then 1080ti is a good way to go, but if you're like most of us that has to actually pay an electric bill - you may want to consider a different gpu for mining.

Just posting an update.

Zcashpool.ca - using Nemosminer from the posted link up in here. - from June 18-June 24- around 0.01049166 = $ 25 or so lol = Wallet also gave me a message saying "3 blocks are lagging" I don't know what that means.  Basically less than $4 a day.

I used the miner exactly it was given to me, just added my BTC address.

Now I'll try Nicehash miner for 7 days and see how it goes. Currently showing me $5.40/day - but since it's keeps changing - so finding out average is better.

Card is 1080ti -
+190 Clock
+200 memory =
power limit 100%
Temp limit 90C -
floating temps I've not seen go over 74C

Per day rates would make any person -who made an investment in this cry lol but thankfully , I did not do this for investment. Maybe I'm a total noob but since it was made clear that we have to learn our own way, I'm doing that now. I'm hopeful that eventually I'd learn.

Before starts on NICEHASH give a try to https://dgb-skein.theblocksfactory.com
With the Alexis78 on SKEIN (DGB). I'm doing about U$10/Day.
You can cashout any value from DGB, so give a try.

Thanks santana. Are you doing any special startup params in your batch file? setting difficulty?

DGB is going big league soon enough, especially if they win 1 of 4 awards from CITI Bank in the coming weeks.

There's a good change they will one for DIGUSIGN.

What does that mean? Crypto currency has award shows like oscars lol ?

For now, DGB is in a downtrend , it did a pretty nice recovery today but still not out of woods, it needs to close above 0.00001074 to start uptrend. Either way that's trading talk.

Let's see how it goes for next 7 days and i'll report back.

That zcash miner nemo version absolutely shattered my expectations by such a huge margin that i was about to stop mining altogether.

If it wasn't was Santana to guide me today.

Your math may be off, with 960 mh/s I'll be doing around 9.60$ a day.

or perhaps my calculator site is wrong lol

As i mentioned earlier, i am still thinking whether i want to get a 1080ti, so don't have one yet.  But i did an experiment with my 1070's mining skein, and i think your estimate of $9.60 is off.  Maybe a couple of weeks or even days ago, but today it should be somewhere at closer to $7.  This is with the dgb price at 0.00000819 and btc at $2,450.

I base these numbers on what i earned with my 1070's during my tests.  I have 3 identical "triplets" (built same day with identical parts etc) workstations each with a 1070.  Over the last couple of days i ran a 24 hour test on 3 pools - suprnova, miiningpoolhub and blockfactory.  I ended up mining 172 dgb on blockfactory, 184 on nova, and 192 on miningpoolhub.  1070 hashes at 525.

My best earning for the 24 hour stretch was 192 dgb.  My card hashes at 525 (60%tdp, 110w), so let's pretend that the 1080ti does double for quick and dirty math, and mines at 1050.  192x2 is 384 dgb, which is around $7.70 per day, and this is a very optimistic estimate, since most 1080ti's don't hash 1050, and are closer to 950 then a 1000.  At 950, using my lazy math and just subtracting ten percent from my previous number, you should make close to $7 per day before any power costs.

ya i own 1070's and 1080ti's and your math and hash numbers are pretty much spot on for the cards i own, word man haha.

Im gonna maybe try mine some PoS coins, go long, do some staking, wait for a pump ;p might work out to good profits, not sure yet Cheesy

I'm mining 12-20 DGB an hour , now rest is whatever. Do math however, you want. Also seriously $7 is still better than nicehash giving me lower than $5
I assume the huge dump in price may be due the BTC starting it's downtrend. I hope it retraces somewhere here and stops the descent.
This downtrend is also good because it'll weed out weak players like a market does when it falls.

I have a founders edition and I bumped it to
120% power
+190 core clock
300+ memory

Still nothing. I maybe a special special edition card.
[/quote]

For Skein algo you should DOWNclock memory but UPclock the GPU.

With %70 TDP +150-200 GPU and -502 Memory

I get around 2700-2800 mhs with 3 1080Ti (Giga Auros, MSI Gaming and Asus Strix) on Alexis. Consumption is around 650 watts for thr rigs.

GPU efficiencies are around 4.7-5 mh/s. Mostly average 4.9 mh/s.

I do not claim it is the best but so far it seems nice to me.

If it is Zcash, yes you sould OC both GPU and Mem.

Hi guys, looking for a good pool to mine DGB.
Not interested in those that pay out in BTC. I would actually like DGB.

Any recommendations?

Is the payout good with Skein?

about $6/day right now

Im doing ~875MH with 80%TDP, +160core, -100mem

Your math may be off, with 960 mh/s I'll be doing around 9.60$ a day.
