Is the payout good with Skein?
about $6/day right now Im doing ~875MH with 80%TDP, +160core, -100mem Your math may be off, with 960 mh/s I'll be doing around 9.60$ a day. or perhaps my calculator site is wrong lol As i mentioned earlier, i am still thinking whether i want to get a 1080ti, so don't have one yet. But i did an experiment with my 1070's mining skein, and i think your estimate of $9.60 is off. Maybe a couple of weeks or even days ago, but today it should be somewhere at closer to $7. This is with the dgb price at 0.00000819 and btc at $2,450. I base these numbers on what i earned with my 1070's during my tests. I have 3 identical "triplets" (built same day with identical parts etc) workstations each with a 1070. Over the last couple of days i ran a 24 hour test on 3 pools - suprnova, miiningpoolhub and blockfactory. I ended up mining 172 dgb on blockfactory, 184 on nova, and 192 on miningpoolhub. 1070 hashes at 525. My best earning for the 24 hour stretch was 192 dgb. My card hashes at 525 (60%tdp, 110w), so let's pretend that the 1080ti does double for quick and dirty math, and mines at 1050. 192x2 is 384 dgb, which is around $7.70 per day, and this is a very optimistic estimate, since most 1080ti's don't hash 1050, and are closer to 950 then a 1000. At 950, using my lazy math and just subtracting ten percent from my previous number, you should make close to $7 per day before any power costs. I'm mining 12-20 DGB an hour , now rest is whatever. Do math however, you want. Also seriously $7 is still better than nicehash giving me lower than $5 I assume the huge dump in price may be due the BTC starting it's downtrend. I hope it retraces somewhere here and stops the descent. This downtrend is also good because it'll weed out weak players like a market does when it falls. Hi guys, looking for a good pool to mine DGB. Not interested in those that pay out in BTC. I would actually like DGB. Any recommendations? Skein! Look my data with 1 1080ti Aero Msi (110tdp, +150core, 000 mem) Hashrate(valid/invalid) 15 minutes : 1.03 GH/s 72.18 MH/s 1 hour : 918.75 MH/s 75.79 MH/s 3 hours : 937.56 MH/s 96.33 MH/s 12 hours : 937.49 MH/s 103.48 MH/s Account Balance 230.2171 DGB Mined last 24h 337.0796 DGB This is mine Hashrate(valid/invalid) 15 minutes : 804.50 MH/s 142.16 MH/s 1 hour : 867.66 MH/s 114.61 MH/s 3 hours : 932.63 MH/s 105.17 MH/s 12 hours : 909.86 MH/s 86.68 MH/s Account Balance 345.3974 DGB Mined last 24h 328.7262 DGB Is there anything even close to $10 these days, apparently even ETC went down 25% that's huge. So turns out , this does equate to 7.07$ lol , maybe when we did the initial math, the price has fluctuated so much. Btw my TDP is at 100% runs at 1835 -1860 mhz core clock memory is 0 -as in stock. If I do 110% then I'd make more and it'll hit 1920 mhz but speed of mining doesn't change that much so I kept it at 100% Mine is Founder's edition

Those who mine DGB coin they plan to hold coins and sell them when they get up in price ? I am mining on Nicehash to keep my daily income in BTC since it's a trusted coin even though it's not stable.

Anyone mind providing me with the bat config to mine DGB on the Skein algo. It's been awhile since I've configurated a bat file and tweaked it.
What miner do you guys recommend running with? Going to give blockfactory a try, unless someone has a better recommendation.

Today i found this topic, which made me doubt what i'm doing again. I wan't to get in to mining after reading a lot and just because it seems like fun. Was thinking of building a rig with the Pulse RX580 8GB. Planning to mind Eth, and zcash, siacoin. What i'm hearing is that Nvidia 1080Ti's aren't as good as AMD when it comes to ETH. But will i do good with the other currency's like hash i'm reading, and zcash, siacoin? Just really doubting between the pulse and this 1080Ti's. And if i took them i was thinking about the MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X, is this a good option? Also in mind, i pay nothing to a few cent for Electricity. And if i go for 1080ti's there expensive but for me easier to get also wan't do this longer. Later resale them for other card maybe.. Hope to hear some good advice, thank you guys.

Hello again guys, just to enlighten your ideas. I have a RIG with 6 RX480 8Gb, and my PC came with a 1080ti, just for gaming and stuff. But mining is like crack, do you want more and more. So I had a idea to try my personal GPU and give some data to someone is in need. After a couple of weeks I've reachead a optimal use to Pascal GPU (based on information I collected across the Internet), this is not a thing to get rich or make a tons of money, but I have a medium sallary and any change in the income helps a lot. The 1080ti is not the best GPU to do this, we now that, but we have this GEM, and we want to do some profit. If anyone want to BUY a new cards or research about best options to mine, this is not the ideal place, we are here just to trade and share informations about using the 1080ti we already have. (and maybe buy another one, to scientific purposes of course ) Thanks everyone. Keep in touch. See you Later.

That's good, you'll never get those speed if your are playing games, and if you are, either it is stuttery or may crash. As long you keep it nice and cool it will boost more

1080ti is not at is best on all algos. But it likes skein, x2 compared to 1070 while on equihash you would have only x1.5 for exemple. on ETH it's even only x1.1.

that depends on what you plan to mine and how much room you have (1080ti takes less room for same hashrate or same room for more hashrate). But for a card that is good on every algo, today I would choose 1070, tomorrow it could be something else ;-)

i took ti's lately. less slots = more hashrate per rig the 1070's scare me, and i warned of this before, they make like a few bucks a day with recent drop, a few more drops and their gonna be making like a buck a day the 1080ti are more future proof, they will SLAY any new algos or coins that drop, and you could mine for a YEAR on a ti, and prob STILL get good resale to a gamer (look at 980ti's price still compared to 970) Think long! Mining is not a short game anymore! the short thinkers will be left having to build 25 rigs to do what the smart builders 6 rigs can do! think of all the sheeple that ALL bought 1070! there's as many out there as 470! (i have 6 myself alone) haha.

All the 1070's I've been seeing are marked up by Newegg and Microcenter. Due to the already high price points of the 1080ti's, most of the vendors didn't touch them. Microcenter has 1070's for $500+ I mean, I can get a 1080ti FE for $670.. To me, I went with the 1080ti for that reason.. I have (3) currently. Even if I give up mining soon, I will have a killer gaming rig and probably can sell at least one for a some good money sooner or later.

Founder's Edition cards will fetch more money later in the day compared to other Vendors.
But others come with better cooling and a bumped up clock speed.
So that needs to be kept in mind during purchase.
How long does these cards last with this kind of workload 24/7 ? anyone ever find out?
A year? I mean fans running at 86% speed 24/7 and cards working with 99% load.
