invest only in bitcoin?

A question of a beginner, I read several articles that say better invest in bitcoin only (most of articles are from 2015-2016), but as bitcoin exceeds now $2500, I do not know if this rule still holds.

I want to invest a lot of money (let's say $3000), but I do not know if I have to invest only in bitcoin or other alcoins? What do you recommend?

Better you divide your investment, do not put your money in one place of investment because it is very risky. You can divide it in altcoin like eth and ltc, it includes strong altcoin.

As many people says, "There are so many fish in the sea" that means that if you can still invest into other coins that you think as as promising as Bitcoin, then why not to try buy them. There are many good coins that can give you a good profit in return not just Bitcoin.

If you know better and about companies that have prospects in the future, then despite the current state of things on the market, it is still worth investing your money. Of course, if there are any doubts, I would save my Bitcoin and Etherium for better times.

No, don't focus on one cryptocoin. There are so many altcoins in the market, even though btc is the mother of all coins there are altcoins that have a potential to grow. Though it cannot surpass btc but in the long run it have a bigger profit.

Investing only your money to bitcoin is very risky because what if the price decrease your money also decrease unless you have different altcoin to invest you can gain more profit . Because if the coin are cheap and once the price increase you will gain more profit than bitcoin. But it's up to you what is your prefer maybe bitcoin or altcoin. But I suggest to have bitcoin and altcoin.

Bitcoin is really gaining before but it change gradually as market become more volatile. Considering the existence of many altcoins, many investors have looking into it that of having bitcoin alone. Meanwhile, altcoins now is on high rate of percentage of investment than of bitcoin but still bitcoin have a huge potentiality than of some alts.

if you are an active trader, altcoin can give you more profits, it is true if bitcoin is very profitable, but it is more profitable if you trade altcoin every day, that means your capital is better allocated to altcoin and the profit earned is used fractionally buy bitcoin gradually.

The sure thing to invest is BTC or Bitcoin but you can also invest in ETH. For the other altcoins it is also profitable nowadays so keep trading also and hold BTC and ETH for the future profit.

Seeing the time OP posted this and if he really bought that time I must say that he gain a lot from the price that moment versus the price before the year ends and it's really a good decision. I think beginner should start their investment through buying bitcoin as we already have an idea how it moves and the fact it's the most stabilize platform. Nothing more and nothing less.

I suggest you to split your investments in to 50% to Bitcoin and 25% to Ethereum and remaining 25% into Ripple or NEO. You shouldn't invest all your investment into one crypto, I'm a strong believer of Bitcoin but still investing wisely will make your money safe and profit will be earned either way splitting your investments.

Why invest in just one Bitcoin. There are still many cryptocurrencies that have great prospects for the future. I would consider a lot of tokens in your place and made a diversified investment portfolio!

But you want to be a daily trader, I can't recommend it. You can explore the altcoins thread and analyze what coin is good for daily speculate.

If you invest in surfing, you might want to choose low value coins. They are suitable for small investment. I think ETH can hold in a short time. We will also profit from them.

First, if you are new and you want to be profitable in the cryptocurrency market, I recommend learning more about crypto, as well as joining this forum for more experience. And then, if you invest in this market then it is best to invest in the long run. Investing in bitccoin is a wise choice because bitcoin has great potential, besides you should invest in some other potential altcoin like ethereum or litecoin.
