I remember the Wolong scam of 2014. It is funny now to see this anti-Wolong coin, which only existed to compete with the PANDA of Wolong, resurrect While the genesis may have been to compete with the Wolong coin, it advanced a long way from that. Which is why it is still here today. That was a great time, started as a Doge fork to troll one huge scammer and then when the scammer was gone eventually PND lost it's purpose. It was actually my idea on IRC back then to implement PoS and an own multipool to Pandacoin when I discovered Blackcoin and thought it was a great idea to have a PoS coin and a miningpool that mines profitable coins and sells them to buy PND back. Amdoge managed to get that thing running and I had a lot of fun mining PND back then. Great to see, that it's getting developed again and I also like the donations to Panda aid funds! Now this great project just needs a few pushes to get it back into the light. Rank 150 on CMC should be possible at least, with the current BTC price, that rank would also mean ~100,000 USD donations to Pandas in China PS: My wallet only has one connection to the network, do you need nodes? Any luck on nodes? this is what I'm running, usually have a decent number of connections. addnode=101.98.48.226 addnode=107.130.201.180 addnode=108.234.77.230 addnode=167.114.249.196 addnode=182.48.148.38 addnode=192.99.200.144 addnode=23.239.15.210 addnode=24.158.13.18 addnode=45.79.170.139 addnode=71.205.83.216 addnode=72.192.76.185 addnode=87.182.83.128 addnode=87.182.89.252 addnode=92.108.110.190 addnode=93.86.113.31 addnode=99.250.234.200 Thanks, I will try that when the wallet finished syncing. BTW syncing takes awfully long, I suppose PND still uses Scypt? Should consider switching to SHA256 for the PoS blocks, makes the whole thing faster.

Did you download the snapshots at http://cryptodepot.org/downloads/ ? Sometimes they give you a little hassle to load, but well worth the effort.

If syncing takes time, try downloading snapshot from here: http://dev.digitalpandacoin.org/index.php/download-2/

This value of 1 satoshi in the initial ANN post is very low , how is the project developing? It's like that for ages now on the exchanges. But that's normal for a coin that was already dead. If the devs get going this could change however.

PND just saw a spike to 0.000114 USD and is worth 0.000154 USD on BX Tailand. Nice, keep it on
Right now: $0.000107 USD (229.74%) 7.027e-09 BTC (227.53%)
Anyhow I would remove the YoBit from the OP...

Yobit has 6 currencies you can trade Pandacoins with. I have never had trouble with yobit and they have always kept Pandacoin running fine, I have heard some coins have had trouble there though.

I really didn´t expect this coin to get back on its feet like this. I had more than four millions PND in my wallet, but some time ago I gave up hope and uninstalled the wallet. Bad move, obviously. Lesson learnt. I have some hopes to get it back, but I´m not fully sure how or whether it´s possible at all. Can you guys help me out? I don´t have my wallet.dat anymore, but I did keep two keys. I have the wallet key (which I entered in https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/ and it did find my wallet, with its content still intact). I also have what I think is the private key, a much longer string of characters. And that´s all. So far I´ve installed the last version of the Pandabank, synced the blockchain, and tried something I read about going into Help > Debug mode > Console tab, and then writing importprivkey herecomesthekey [labelforthekey]. I only get error messages, though. When I enter the wallet key, I get Invalid private key (Code -5). When I enter the long key which I think is the private key, I get importprivkey <pandacoinprivkey> [label] Adds a private key (as returned by dumpprivkey) to your wallet. (code -1). Looks like it doesn´t even recognice it as a valid key? Am I supposed to combine both keys in some way? Am I missing some other key or some step? Is there any way to rebuild the wallet.dat? Is it all gone for good? I´d like to offer half a million PND as a reward for the first one who can get me a working solution. Thanks!

Is it all gone for good? I´d like to offer half a million PND as a reward for the first one who can get me a working solution. Thanks! A couple of ideas, what format is the Private key in ? From the CryptoDepot JavaScript PandaCoin Paper Wallet Generator http://cryptodepot.org/paperwallet/pandacoin/ Wallet Details tab. Your PandaCoin Private Key is a unique secret number that only you know. It can be encoded in a number of different formats. Below we show the PandaCoin Address and Public Key that corresponds to your Private Key as well as your Private Key in the most popular encoding formats (WIF, WIFC, HEX, B64, MINI). So by entering your private key above you see the various formats below, for importing you want WIF (51 characters base58, starts with a '7' ). You can download a local copy of the paper wallet generator and run it offline, if you have security concerns using the online version. PandaCoin stores public keys in compressed format. The client now also supports import and export of private keys with importprivkey/dumpprivkey. The format of the exported private key is determined by whether the address was generated in an old or new wallet. see http://cryptodepot.org/paperwallet/pandacoin/ once you generate a private key, proceed to the Wallet Details tab to see better how to know better what your key is. The Pandacoin electrum wallet has an easy to use private key sweeping capability, but I have only used Private Key WIF (51 characters base58, starts with a '7' ).

Jommy or anyone,
I haven't logged into my pandabank in ages, but would like to fire it up again this week. Can someone help me get started?
I can launch the bank (gosh, what an amazing wallet, I think the Panda wallet was ahead of it's time for a while anyway). I don't see any activity that it is active or staking. The last stakes were back in 9/2016.
I see from the past few messages that there are these 'nodes' to add, but not sure where to add these on a mac? Will my getting the panda wallet back up and running help the network to grow once again? I love this coin, it would be so great to see if we can bring it back to life again.
Thanks.

I am using windows, but after downloading the latest version it started syncing automatically. No need to add nodes or anything. I also downloaded the snapshot so maybe that did it?

Does Yobit have the real Pandacoin? I'm holding some of it on that exchange. Btw, I don't see anything happening on https://bx.in.th/BTC/PND/ like you said. Or are you looking at a USD pair?

Although those charts look promising in USD value, I only care about BTC/LTC value.
