It means your hashrate will decrease, while the block reward will rise. Maybe with some lag, i don't think anyone is totally sure about what exactly will happen.

Does luke-jr have a history as altcoin analyser? His post is very short...
He's a developer on Bitcoin. Granted, I'm not saying his claims are valid or anything. I simply posted it because it seemed to go overlooked earlier and thought it would be worth discussing among people that understand the source. He's one from developers team. Also known as BTC fundamentalist. Few months ago he released patch for NVC client, in order to make chain fork starting from block #5500. We all know the results. Even a genius can make a fool of himself, if he dedicated himself for irrational emotions. So Luke-Jr engages in sabotage? Shocking! Exactly. http://gitorious.org/~Luke-Jr/bitcoin/luke-jr-bitcoin/commit/cc8a3eac8a9142fd12fdb14dbf0fa9ea4d6d4304He acts as a child, actually. It's quite strange for author of gbt and eloipool. Maybe aliens replaced him with a clone, of course...

Even a genius can make a fool of himself, if he dedicated himself for irrational emotions. So Luke-Jr engages in sabotage? Shocking! I read pretty negative things about Luke-Jr before. It seems like there is a major feud between ckolivas (the original author of cgminer) kano and Luke-Jr. You might subsume that the latter did some forking/stealing of code without credits etc. See here, e.g. In effect, Con has decided that CGMiner will become/live on (how long?) as a de facto hostile fork of BFGMiner (which has continuity of maintenance). I'm disappointed Con has chosen to severe cooperation between CGMiner and BFGMiner, but I hope to continue pulling as many improvements from CGMiner as possible
How can he even dare to claim that CGMiner is the hostile fork and pull as many improvements from CGMiner? He is even contradicting himself there! I am not happy at all seeing all this greed, stealing, FUD-ing and scamming in this altcoin forum. But what should I expect if reputation is counted in number of posts... There's a YAC tip going your way, sir.
Thank you, Sir! Thanks for looking into it. I appreciate the facts coming out, we need less FUD on these forums. Sending some YAC your way.

Lets rename YAC to FUDCoin.
Let's rename YAC to FPGACoin (at least until N=64 in a couple days)..

80x Xilinx XC7A200. Didn't anyone else here look at salsa+chacha/kekkac(N,1,1) and realize the implications of N being really low initially and what that meant for the speed/memory tradeoff? I can't be the only one who thought that..

account name means nothing. xilinx1 just means "botnet farm #1" if he is mining yac with fpga,he could have mined litecoin with that.

account name means nothing. xilinx1 just means "botnet farm #1" if he is mining yac with fpga, he could have mined litecoin with that. Litecoin uses scrypt(1024,1,1) with salsa20/8 as the mixing algorithm. Yacoin uses scrypt(N,1,1) with chacha as the mixing algorithm and N is currently only 32. That's a whole world of difference in hashing algorithm. At this time, I still maintain that Litecoin is FPGA-resistant and can not achieve a price/performance level remotely approaching GPU's, regardless what certain people keep posting on here in an attempt to solicit pre-orders and/or investors in products that aren't mathematically feasible. The only way that'll happen is if someone shortcuts the method of computing scrypt(1024,1,1), and at that point, whatever method is used to shortcut it will probably be equally applicable to GPU's.

What will N have to be before your fpgas aren't effective? And, thanks for sharing your mining information. Pretty clever.

When N changes to 64 in a few days, I'm going to have to reevaluate whether it's feasible to reimplement those changes in Verilog. That's going to dramatically increase the logic area required, and at some point, the Xilinx tools bomb out with a "Design is excessively dense" error when the netlist gets too complex. I doubt N beyond 64 is practical for the FPGA approach, so this is clearly a short-term solution.

Where would I find a botnet of that size? Obviously at your local botnet farm. Every so often there is a local botnet market tent set up as well.
