Bitcoin may not be number one for long

There is no currency in the crypto sphere that would challenge bitcoin when it comes to market capital,there was a time when i thought that ETH will over take the price of bitcoin when it comes to market capital,but from that point bitcoin started its rally and it is having a huge gap between the rest of the coins.

I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

I don't think that what you're saying is true,  I feel that bitcoin will continue to grow.

It's hard to say for sure, bitcoin has been running for 9 years without any problems, and unbelievable currency growth began only in this year, and as I'm thinking that this is not bitcoin limit. Such cryptocurrencies as etherium has no chance to keep up with bitcoin at the moment. In the future, everything is possible, because bitcoin cost once was also miserable.

I do believe that bitcoin won't be the top1 for long. It's just in this position beaucse of the hype and cause was the 1st coin in the world. IMO mid of 2019 is going to be the time when BTC will start its fall down and we will see emerging amazing coins that nowadays are many steps above BTC

Right now, i can't say ethereum will overthrow bitcoin in jusy a year or two. It would take atleast 5 years since lots of people are using bitcoin in their online businesses.

I think it will never happen. Bicoin will stay no.1 cryptocurrency forever. I believe that there is no altcoin that can surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin is now strong and it seems that it gaining more power in this following years.

I do not rule out that bitcoin could be overcome by other cryptomonets later on but this will not take place in the next few years. Those who have nothing related to cryptovalues know only bitcoin and that's why the general ownership stage may happen very first with bitcoin compared to other coins. When then your typical consumer can sign up for fraxel treatments we may see overtaking by other cryptovalutes that can be technologically more complex

Bitcoin is currently a major player in the market and is reliable. I think it will be hard to catch up but there are more and more crypto coins that are able to match with strength soon.

Well there is a probability for that to happen but i don't think that it will happen right away. You see bitcoin took a lot of years to be in where it is right now. So i think ethereum will take about a couple of year to take over bitcoin.

But bitcoin is not going to remain static either, in this year many people were predicting that ETH was going to surpass bitcoin in market cap and suddenly out of nowhere bitcoin grew a lot and now there is a huge difference between BTC and ETH and the same may happen again if ETH gets close to bitcoin once again.

I think bitcoin will always remain number one because it already grows a lot in the world of cryptocurrencies. Maybe 5 years, 10 years, or even 20 years is not enough for another cryptocurrency to surpass bitcoin. While another cryptocurrency rises, so does bitcoin.

I beg to disagree, bitcoin has alot of merchants worldwide and it's widely well known by people. Newbie knows about bitcoin but they don't even know about other cryptocurrency. well at this stage we're in the tip of bitcoin legacy just wait for another years to come what will the future hold us.

I don't think so, people will always find a way to solve this problem.  In my oppinion, ethereum is only cryptocurrency with smart contract but bitcoin is digital gold which so worth. I am pretty sure that people would be choose bitcoin rather than ethereum.
