Aha...I hadn't even considered using both the bfgminer window and the FPGA/ASIC window because they both used bfgminer. Silly me. I'll try it out and report back.

Please let me know if you have any problems with the new feature, especially if any devices are showing up at the bottom of the log but not in the table

Tested what I needed in 4.20 and it worked flawlessly.

Also, I'm an idiot, because at the same intensity, scrypt mining with bfgminer appears to be much faster (20ish percent) than with cgminer. There's a small sample size with my data, but still...

Hey, that's a result! Look at it this way - you got a 20% increase without putting out for new hardware luke-jr has a history of supporting Mac well, I found GPU mining BTC was a lot faster with bfgminer too

Well, I've been using the new version on my Macbook and all seems to be working just fine for the past 48h. I am digging in the panda pool. My question is this. After digging for 48h and having some 30 accepted I have not received any LTE. How often are payouts made, and where are they registered? Thx

Edit: After updating to version 1.4.22 all seems ok but I am not getting any "acceptances". All previous acceptances were zeroed out.

Hey, which miner window(s) are you using? cpuminer works best for LTC mining  on cpu and bfgminer works best for GPU LTC. You can look for your LTC address here to check up on how you're doing:

Payouts are made every time P2Pool (LTC) finds a block, which is about every 2 hours, as long as you're mining fast enough, otherwise the payout is as often as you can find a payout share (which you'd see on the graphs page^^)

Hey BitBacco, I'm looking for some more clarity on how your P2Pool node works. About 4 hours ago  I applied about 110 Khash to the Panda LTC node. We found one block about 30 minutes later, and I didn't see a payment. Roughly three hours later, we found another block, but I still don't see a payment.

I do see my address as receiving credit on the graphs page, but my wallet isn't seeing any activity. I've confirmed the address.

Is 110 KHash perhaps not fast enough to receive payment (referencing your comment above), or is there something else I'm either doing wrong or not seeing.

110kh should be enough to see daily payouts but you might have to wait that long to see one

as long as that blue line is on your second graph you should receive a payout every block as listed on the 'last blocks' section of:

Thanks for the additional info, BitBacco.  i do see a blue line on my graph, and that line represents the same level of work, I'm seeing on me end.

Are you saying that I can have the stats of a networked ASIC miner (just like the KncMiner's miners, for example) in the FPGA/ASIC Miner window? How can I configure the window if I have the IP/URL, user and password to access the miner?
I found this help page but it talks about directly connected devices only.

On another note, starting with MacMiner 1.4.22 I'm using BFG Miner instead of CG Miner for GPU mining and it *seems* to me that whenever I start BFGMiner the disk starts to emit a very low but steady buzz. When I stop BFGMiner, the buzz stops. It's like the disk is accessed many times in rapid succession. Is anyone experiencing the same behaviour?

That error suggests that either the intensity is set too high, or the machine is too old to mine - usually the latter I'm afraid! Sorry about that, happy mining on your other machines

Indeed, in API Output window click 'Add Networked Miner' and you can add and IP and port to monitor - it's still early days though and I need to fix something up quickly for that! I'll be updating the docs too shortly.

For the feature wish list: a spot on the miner windows that tells us which pool they are mining at that moment.

Also, and only FWIW, the bfgminer window wants to default to Mh as soon as it gets to 20 Khash (low intensity mining for background mining while I'm working). It sits there at 0.02Mh, even when it's actually fluctuating well below that.

I have a Mac mini with a GeForce 320M… so it's actually quite hard to tell if the noise comes from the HD or GPU!
Nevertheless, I've just noticed that the buzz is emitted only if I check the Dynamic Intensity option.
When I uncheck that option I don't hear the buzz anymore, even if I set Intensity to a high value (for my machine), such as 4 or 5.

Thanks for letting me know! You're right, it probably too old, about this mac says it's a 2009 Mac Book (not even a Mac Book Pro). 
I'll break the news to her.  Maybe this will be the impetus for her to upgrade.

I'll take a look at the bfgminer output and see what I can do about having it say which specific pool is being used at any one time, hopefully that won't be a problem! Shame about the Mh problem, I guess luke-jr wasn't really expecting people to be dealing with such low speeds any more..

That's really strange, I'm not sure why it would be doing that! Are the noises more like fan noise or revving/clicking type noises (which come from HDD)?
