I tried restarting my computer as if I was not there, and MacMiner starts as normal, when I press start on MobileMiner nothing happens, I guess because the ASIC window is not open. Even if I open the ASIC window, MobileMiner does not work. I guess MobileMiner only works after a signal is received from MacMiner, stating that MobileMiner can now control it?
If there is already a feature to auto start, then that would clear up everything, because MobileMiner would be active, and if anything happens when away from the computer it will auto mine.
MobileMiner is all "pull", no "push". Basically, MacMiner (or any miner) says, occasionally, "got any commands for me"? I'm not sure what kicks off that loop in MacMiner but it sounds like it may not be happening on startup.

Thanks for the feedback, glad it's working after you start at least - it should start on app launch, if it fails you should see an error message from MacMiner in the Console app in the Utilities folder in the main window (may need to refresh that window) If so could you post it here please?
I pay close attention to feature requests and that's not the first time that one has been made so auto-start is top of the list now!

Besides a SMC error I need to fix this is all I see in Console.
1/13/14 9:37:44.562 PM MacMiner[22680]: I'm sploding!
Thats after quitting the application. Starting the app, and doing anything during shows nothing in the console.

No no, not SMC from macminer, just something I need to fix. I got that error you mentioned when I reset my router and had no connection, so I know its "working" on that end. Maybe it has something to do with this? Even though I'm not mining it still shows the last GH reported, since sometimes MacMiner continues to show my GH even though it is stopped.. When hit start (it was black and enabled) all the buttons turn grey and does not go through to MacMiner. Now if MacMiner is running the buttons work. I am not a programmer of any sort so I have no clue what this means lol. FOUND SOMETHING! Do you have the Restart and Stop programmed backwards? When I hit restart MacMiner stops, and when I hit stop, it restarts! If I hit restart, it will stop, and then and only then will Start actually start. My guess is once the buttons are straight it might not "confuse" itself. Like I said earlier, the auto start feature would solve all my problems, because MobileMiner will at least control from that point... So by no means go out of your way just to figure out 3 buttons on an otherwise flawless miner you have built. Best I've used so far!

For a feature suggestion: make it so that each time you open the program, it opens the windows in the same size and formation as was open previously.

I'm glad you feel the same way about MacMiner I do I think one of the issues you're seeing with MobileMiner is to do with out of date data, like the buttons being active when the app was closed but having no effect - if you pull down the screen in MobileMiner it will refresh the info and that's always a good idea first thing on opening the app. The buttons are connected up to existing functions as a quick fix but I'll be fixing that up for the next version probably out tonight, I'll also include auto-start miners and make sure the windows remember their state!

1.5.9 has been updated to 1509b with a bug fix for where MobileMiner just wasn't working for some users - many thanks to XFox for his bug report which solved the problem!

I am running MacMiner 1.5.10, the latest. It manages, using FPGA/ASIC: - 4 AntMiner USB sticks running between 2.06 and 2.07 Gh/s
- 1 BFL Mini 50 running at 54.54 Gh/s
It remotely monitors: - 1 AntMiner 180 running at 181.81 Gh/s
All display in the API window but I couldn't get MobileMiner to work. I looked at the console error messages and noticed it was connecting with machine name Darquer's_MacBook_Pro. I renamed the machine DarquerMac01 to eliminate underscores and the apostrophe. It works flawlessly now. Every device, even the remotely monitored Ant all show up in MobileMiner. I got the stats I posted above from my iPhone. Thank you!

Ah, thanks for the report, it must be the apostrophe, I'll make sure to HTML safe that for the next version!

My pleasure! After a few days testing I'm very happy with the stability of 1.5.10b so with a couple of extra little fixes I'm going to announce a new 'Long term stable' version - let me know any new features you'd like added and they will hopefully make it in there for the version after that

let me know any new features you'd like added and they will hopefully make it in there for the version after that I'd like to be able to add networked miners to the API Output window by FQDN. I'va also a couple of problems with the new auto-start feature: 1) On a machine with OS X 10.8, I checked the preference to start BFG Miner but when I launch MacMiner I get a dialog saying the *CPU Miner* has started! Actually, neither BFG Miner nor CPU Miner is started. 2) On a machine with OS X 10.9, I checked the preference to start CPU Miner but when I launch MacMiner I don't get any dialog and *nothing* is started.

1.5.11 is out now which much improves the behaviour of the autostart buttons, includes a security fix for machines with unique WAN IPs or FQDNs and updates cgminer to 3.12

Thank you BitBacco! Now BFG Miner autostarts correctly but each time I start MacMiner, CPU Miner is autostarted, too, even if the checkbox for CPU Miner in MacMiner's Preferences is not checked.
