Afraid of August One?

Not anymore simply because i believe on bitcoin and i know that even the price drop it will bounce back like what happen few weeks ago, whales are just preparing there money when the price dumps they will buy more. Just hold your bitcoin and see this after years.

i am agree with you and i think other people will hold their bitcoin and don't want to sell right now. we can follow the big whales to buy bitcoin if the price is dump so we don't missed the right time. for now, i think the best thing that we can do is holding and see what will happen after august one. and if there is any bitcoin cash is release then i think people is not going to sell before they see the benefits from bitcoin cash.

Same with me.I will never be afraid when august 1st comes because i'm sure it will be just like an ordinary day.Nothing worst will happen especially now that bitcoin is getting more demands from people.So for sure bitcoin price will continue to rise like its inevitable.I really have big trust on bitcoin.

BCC will have 3 new additional features compared to BTC that is why it was fork because of the scaling issue. Now BCC will have an 8MB size per block compared to 1MB of BTC.

If the August 1st fork will cause the split of BitCoin into BTC and BCC, I hope that they will more or less have near prices if possible. And if BCC will have more features than BTC, then obviously BCC will be better than BTC. If that will be the case, then it's possible that the future of BCC will be greater than BTC.

For me to be afraid of August 1, it means not to believe in bitcoin. If you don't believe in the thing to do then why do they engage? I will be with bitcoin until the end and we either together will rise the moon will fall on the ground.

By the way, if ever BCC will arise if Bitcoin will really have to split, there will surely be initial confusion to BCC (BitCoin Cash) because there already exist a coin with BCC ticker. That is the BitConnect Coin. Surely some agreement or something must be done by the devs to so that we can be able to distinguish between the two. That is, if ever Bitcoin Cash will arise after August 1.

We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.

For an instance, the upcoming day of August 1 which is just less than a week from now is quite alarming because we still do not know anything or what will be the exact happening after the SegWit that will happen on August 1. What we just have  to do is to wait patiently until the said event is done and see what will be the impact of that event to the current status of bitcoin. Let us just stay calm and trust that everything will be turning back into normal or just expect for greater things to happen.

The real thing to be afraid of is people and companies who try to quickly push through the 2x hard fork part of Segwit2x. The project is already a joke with the closed development, closed slack, Garzik not doing a very good job ect. Aug 1st is nothing really compared to that.

i think most of the people are feeling reluctant from that day and therefore they have sell their bitcoin i think they need to remain as calm because i do not think that there is any going to happen again bitcoin. i think bitcoin price will continue increase and hope that it will make bitcoin more stronger.

And always this is Bitcoin Core (BTC), not is any type other Bitcoin created after fork. We had saw Bitcoin Unlimit in early, why still fearing with Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin ABC ...? So, all news just created by whales and they want we sell Bitcoin with cheap price to them.

I'm not afraid but I'm more worried about how the process will go and when will it be stabilized the infracture and how people will deal in this mess when also exchanges will block the deposit/withdrawal.
Recently Coinbase announced:

BTC Buys/Sells/Withdrawals will be Temporarily Disabled on July 31
Due to a potential fork of the bitcoin blockchain, all BTC buys/sells and withdrawals will be temporarily disabled beginning on July 31.

I know what you feel but it is the only sensible thing to do, exchanges cannot risk losing the funds of their clients or they are going to get a bad reputation for that and then they will be risking their business model, so it is important to be understanding about this and keep cool about it.
