Are you afraid of the future? becuse this is the type of stuff that shape the future. Segwit should improve bitcoin, An improved bitcoin, will push altcoins/crypto market (as bitcoin is the ticket for entering the altcoin world). I assume that Segwit effect will lead the way of $200B market place for the winter. So Bitcoin will rise up with Segwit, Ethereum will rise up with PoS, other good altcoins improving as we speak.. Good days ahead of us  It will split Bitcoin as far as I know so why should there be the need to split when all of them will grow anyway. The exchanges such as bitfinex had already splitted them long before it happen. Have you seen the price of BCU, BCC and BTC on them? I hate the idea but they're on to it already so we'll see. Why need to split Bitcoin? becuse it's slow. |

Well sort of. Because I really have no idea what will going to happen. As a matter of fact, I am thinking of withdrawing my hard earned bitcoin for safety reasons.  I cannot still understand why they need to do that. Bitcoin is pretty fine and almost perfect. What is the need to do that. Well I don't think it's a good idea withdrawing at the moment because no matter what happens after August 1 Bitcoin is still going to be useful because even if people dump after any failure there are others who are ready to buy back what has been dumped and for me it's better to be a part of the celebration than to to rue not having stick of Bitcoin if the price soars after August 1. |

I don't see any reason why anyone should be afraid. I think at this stage, things are going to get better than worst, hopefully nothing changes from the present development. But whatever happens, one should just be prepared for the worst by making sure one doesn't really loose much to any fork.

Obviously, the only thing you can really be in a situation like this is going to have to be scared for what's going to come. We don't know if the miners are really all going to come together on this issue, as they haven't been very keen on getting together to do much in the past so who really knows if this is going to be the time where the problems are fixed or if this is simply the start of more and more issues that signal a downtrend for Bitcoin. I don't understand why would people afraid with what will happen in 1st August since our current block size problem could be solved, even if there's block split, i think we still could earn profit by sell minority coins.
Here's the thing that freaks people out, it's going to be the uncertainy of what could happen if the problem isn't solved. A think a major price downtrend is going to happen due to this, and it's insane to think about that when we're close to the peak but I feel it's going to happen all again. |

I'm actually thinking about moving all my bitcoins to altcoins so I can have a peace of mind. Lol. It's still a month from now and it's already bugging me alot. I think it will either crash hard or rise hard. Not sure though, since segwit2x is on the lead. But I think I'll play it safe for now.
worst idea ever, the altcoin are so unstale that it's very likely you will lose a big portion of your bitcoin what might happen at worse is that at first some panic selling can tank the value and then you have the usual recover and another bubble I moved all my bitcoins to altcoins several years ago and now have 10x as many bitcoin-worth as when I started. I think this is a good idea. Just pick some altcoins with serious long-term potential like eth and slr |

I see u guys very optymistic about Bitcoin on August 1st... I'm sure the price will drop the week/days before due to market uncertainty, it's a normal process. I will sell all my bitcoin before and be ready to buy once everything gets stable.

Bitcoin will be a big winner after 1 august that's sure.It might go up fast then because it will be the most important crypto after this for years.A lot of coins will go down .Litecoin will also rise as silver of the coins.Ethereum has it's onwn use and do also well but bitcoin will be king .Much more people will get into it also.

To buy Bitcoin on August 1st IMO wouldn't be a very good investment decision, because market would lack direction on that day on account of the uncertainty in the air. I think the best bet is to either be adventurous and buy some Bitcoin couple of days to the day and hope for the best or simply stay out of the market until the bubbles be over. However something I see amiss with the later is that it looks likely to lead to a regret. |

However something I see amiss with the later is that it looks likely to lead to a regret. There is a chance one of the chains could rally, but like you I feel that a bear market is far more likely. Whenever the bitcoin community loses confidence as a whole, we see really long downward trends, like Mt Gox for example. I think the floor is slightly over 2k, but we will see  I hope it doesn't go down for an extended period of time, and I really hope it doesn't drag the rest of the markets down with it, like we are seeing right now. May be a time to get some discount coins  |

There maybe FUD spreading around but if you analyze the situation, the possible answer to the long problem of Bitcoin to scale is about to be fixed with this implementation. I only see positive on this even if the possible chain split will happen. I also believe the majority chain will prevail and maybe lose some of its current value but you still have the minority chain that have also some value and may probably recover the lost value of the majority chain by selling them. |

Yes i am afraid for the fork in august one because i am thinking that maybe the price will dump if the fork will not become successful and a lot of people just dumping their bitcoin because of the hype so i just holding my bitcoins right now, it is a hard earned bitcoin so i don't need to sell it and i am preparing some my own money to buy more bitcoins if the price will dump in august one.
It can't become unsuccesful. It's going to be the same Bitcoin, just with increased block size, more secure and faster. LTC Segwit was activated and what happened? A big pump that did not deflate like ETH one. Now LTC is holding the increased value and doing great, BTC will too. If you're afraid sell your coins and buy back after activation, but know that the price will be higher. |

What concerns me is not the distant future, it´s the present moment, it´s right now. I´m confident BTC will reach the U$ 3000, than U$ 4000, 5000 and so on eventually, regardless of the result of August 1, but those results will be important to determine how fast these values can be reached.
We are getting closer and closer to this day, and there are still a lot of uncertainties, no one knows what will happen, i do think BTC will suffer a considerable fall as we get closer to this date due to all these doubts. I´m considering selling all my BTC, so i could rebuy when things settle down, or if the price indeed falls i could rebuy at lower price. Thing is if i sell now i would lose money, something like 10% of the capital invested, so I´m not really sure.
Everyone here seems very confident that BTC will only skyrocket because of august 1, hope you guys are right.

Its much better to wait till the day comes im still positive that bitcoin no matter what will happen its still moving up we are just gonna witness segwit and how it will help btc to be more fully functional and how it will help the system.

We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?
I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.
Why should we afraid in the first place? The moment we invest on bitcoin, we accept that price increase or decrease should happened, same with the expected speculation of what will happen to bitcoin price after August 1. Even a price decrease is possible, I just put up some money here and yeah let's bring it on. This is bound to happened and we must accept whatever the result. But it doesn't take away the chances of price increase might also happened so let's just follow the scene and be prepared. |

I am neither worried nor excited because bitcoin gone through big dumb and again it raised like Phoenix so after fork if it go down also it will raise for sure. if it success then we will be the wealthy people's.

I'm trusting Bitcoin more than ever, I don't know what will happen, but I keep everything on my side as it always was, I'm not cashing out, I'm letting the investments run, I'm beliving Bitcoin power. For me the worse isn't a decrease in Bitcoin price, the worse is to have a split in chain, even some people saying it's good, I can't believe it thinking from the lay men point of view.

I don't fear it, I think whatever will happen will be a step towards the betterment of bitcoin, it could be the major step that may actually lead to bitcoin dominance being increased. So I'm quite positive about it, now lets see what happens. |

I don't afraid on August 1 comes because its more we give expectation on August i think good is happen. I trust more in bitcoin because it more profitable. We consider if what happen in bitcoin today we accept the price of bitcoin and on August lets accept it also if whats will happen. But i will invest bitcoin more so that we see what happen on August nothing to afraid it nothing to worry. I believe more in bitcoin it will a great value and the price is stable. I don't worry or afraid and i'm still positive just wait for the August. Always positive nothing to afraid.
