Afraid of August One?

i am not afraid of august one and i am sure that everything is fine and still under controlled. if there will be a split with bitcoin, i still believe that bitcoin value will increase especially the price although there is any down trend. but now, before segwit is applied, there is many traders is panic and they selling bitcoin to play safe and it cause the price is down.

Bitcoin price is now close to $2000 level. I advise you to hold. For me im just waiting and waiting until i see a good time to buy. I will not sell, i will onky buy. When it goes below $2000 then i will buy a few then wait again to see then will buy again after that.

Just dont sell for it will go to the moon. Just keep on buying to make and create a high demand.

Just hoping Bitcoin value stops falling after August 1, 2017, so that our Bitcoin investment will not be affected...

am i the only one who's not anxious about august 1? i feel everyone is very worried about it, and i feel different about it, i think "august 1" is an opportunity to buy more bitcoins, especially if the price will go down.?

People here are champions when it comes to exaggerating certain situations/happenings. People just assume there will be a chain split, while in reality there may not be one happening at all. If I point percentages to a chain split becoming reality, and a chain split not becoming reality, it would be sitting on 50/50. People here make it seem like the percentage ratio sits more at 90/10.

That is just human nature, people are wired to listen to bad news rather than good ones, this is why if you see any newspaper or anything similar, you will see that most of the news are bad news, that is why even if the chance of a split of the network is not as high as it seems, people cannot stop to think and talk about it.

So here is what we need to do. HODL and keep on buying when you have money to buy. The price will rise and will keep on rising. Until we make the market stable again.

that's a positive suggestion, we also need to keep thinking optimistically, but in the law of commerce, panic selling factor that is affected by very strong issues and events will have a big impact, most traders will play safe to sell/convert into altcoin, and will only buy back when hardfork has given results.

I think it briefly touches $1980-$1990 before going to $2000 again. But I think we are going noise dive and we will see it going below $2000. This uncertainty really worries a lot of investors or even just casuals or newbies thinking that the best moved right now is not to hold but to dump their coins. Sadly, we can't really stop them. But for sure they will regret everything once they see the price go high again in the future.

We are already in July and August 1 is coming...the day when Segwit would start signalling for all and what will happen after this date is something many fear of. Will there be a split and what will happen on the split?

I have already read some assurance that at the current rate things are doing, the possibility for a split is getting remote. Maybe the overarching interest of all stakeholders has already dawned to many.

Actually, we don't need to worry about this coming august 1. In fact, as long as bitcoin is in the midst of cheap price value I'll take the chance to buy more of it. So we must, ignore whatever we hear about to this date. lets focus on bitcoin and wait to resume the original price.

Jaxx is not really recommended as It's not fully open sourced. I'd go witth Electrum If I were you, It's with no doubt the best wallet for desktop. You have control over your private keys so make sure you are note doing any transactions during that period (check the forums and Reddit /r/bitcoin from time to time after 1st august to stay updated)

Jaxx is not really recommended as It's not fully open sourced. I'd go witth Electrum If I were you, It's with no doubt the best wallet for desktop. You have control over your private keys so make sure you are note doing any transactions during that period (check the forums and Reddit /r/bitcoin from time to time after 1st august to stay updated)

Electrum or Core is the best wallet so fully secure your coins come Aug 1. I haven't try Jaxx though so I don't know if is fully secured. What I like about Electrum though besides the seeds, is that it is so lightweight. My only comment is that is so small and for those who have problems with his eye sight, sometimes its very hurtful.

But so far very little shift to alt coins! More shifts to horrible ICOs than real alts. I think a 6 month crash is good. The massive speculation in whatever-coins is signs of more trouble ahead even if bitcoin comes to $5000

It is not yet aug 1 but  there were already a panic selling. Because of the speculation for August 1 people are now selling their btc and it is really affecting  current bitcoin price which is bad in my opinion
