Can someone explain me in easy words how this project works.

My feeling is that it has a few problems.

In order to work they need to partner up with all the major Energy company to use their distribution network.

Why should those company accept, when they can directly buy the energy from the producer for a fraction of the price and resell it for the full price.

How much will it cost to use the Blockchain to store "near real time" report of usage, with the actual eth fee that will cost a lot i guess, and will impact in the energy price.

Please explain in details how this work, because i am interested in opening a quite big position but i still dont have answers to those 2 problems.

I think you misunderstood something important: One of the blockchain's biggest advantages is a possibility of a dencentralized model f.e. the distribution of energy in this case.
It's not about buying from already existing (centralized) distributor but to be the distributor yourself. For example your frienldy neighbor who owns a big solar field.
Theres a big chance that he's producing way more than he can use. So he himself can sell it to you, know you're independent of the big energy companies.

That's as far as I understood the USP Smiley Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

Yes but they still need to use the distribution network right ? i got that part in witch i create energy with my solar pannel and i sell it to you bypassing the electricity company but i still need to use it in order to send u my energy correct ?

These guys are doing really interesting things in the energy field.

The Australian government providing grants is a nice bonus, mind you they are more than happy to hand grants out than really help people.

The private sector is always more efficient in helping people.
Perfect move by the Aussie Gov't in helping Power Ledger move forward.

This project will be much more effective in countries where electricity is a problem, where there is no standard or stable supply of power, unfortunately such countries a less  awareness of crypto, hope this project will target such countries.

Power is one of those few projects that is already established as a company, great times ahead Smiley!

I believe POWR is one of the few undervalued coins actually out there.

It would be overvalued if thy hadn’t already laid massive groundwork the past year and a half.

Aren’t they as far or farther along than OmiseGo was when it ICO’d?  I think that is a fair question.

I’m all in, so I am biased - for both the good of my pockets and the planet.

It will surely happen in the future dude Im holding my power ledger until that day happen this token have a lot of good quality this dump happen to power ledger will surely have a pump up next be thankful because this past fee week the price are remain stable to .7 to .8$ but ofcource Im hopinv this project will hit to 1$ soon.

Dont look at dollar value but look at bitcoin value and that is going down. It looks like it remains stable but that is because bitcoin is killing it for now. But if bitcoins goes down hard the alts will follow in a panic and then it is going south very fast. So, always look at bitcoin value.

yet another reason to invest in POWR.. it literally can power up places, neighbourboods and towns that are totally off grid help bring potentially millions more people to the internet and crypto who don't have these opportunities today.

But here I'd like to bump Sauzer00's question (I didn't consider this in my previous posts): POWR still needs the existend distribution grids. Therefore a gridless place can't get any benefit from POWR unless it's plugged in into the grid.

My understanding is straight they will install solar energy panels for individuals using the funds can expand their business. Who knows in future may be these power generators transform to sell their surplus power to state just like in US happening. Need to see how this project moves ahead in future.

In a bull market, alts tend to go up when bitcoin goes down..  unless it crashes.

Yes, but nowadays the markets are very strange. A few months ago alts were rising together with bitcoin. But suddenly there was a shift, alts going down when bitcoin was rising. A lot of money flowed to bitcoin out of the alts i suppose. Then there was the bitcoin cash pump and the money from the alts went that way. I aggree that if bitcoin comes down, a lot of money goes into alts but the "good" alts with a kind of a reputation. Power ledger is very new and a lot of people dont know what to expect from this one.

Can't even figure ALTS out anymore, this one has massive potential and its barely moving laterally - ION which has a good idea, a good team and a new game beta had a 50 then 25 btc buy this morning, then because of no support under it the price fell back to 16k sats, can't even predict things like this anymore.

This one should be a constant surge northwards, but it seems to be detached from BTC and despite really good volume, an amazing team, a working product that is environmentally friendly and has government backing seems to be constantly sliding.. what is this crazy upside down land..?

I concur.
My only conclusion - most people are too lazy to research, willingly-ignorant, and love to follow herd-mentality.

The intelligent cats who can discern the future, scoop up Power Ledger.
