You have to admit this is funny though right? When somebody comes in late to something expecting some type of airdrop or whatever, I laughed for a second over this 
anyway..I hold some of these coins and hope more people adopt the idea, solar is a good way to become independent, independent avoiding one bill anyway, in the U.S. energy is so costly and  if there was a crypto involved in just promoting solar and showing people how the transactions of selling back to the grid with contracts could benefit them then more solar would make its way on top of houses and less people would pay for municipal energy.

People need to realise though that this is a real world business with trials that may lead to implementation. This will not be a quick earner but a long term investment.

I concur, it is already in the process of being implemented and it takes a little time, what I like about this startup is that there is physical work being done with it and its not just coding and selling - someone has to do the paperwork that I am sure is a headache, not all coins on this forum are pump and dump and for POWR to just move forward with their plans to integrate the coin into the solar grid and not focus on large profit is a noble effort from the team, I liken the coin supporters to dogecoin in a way, its not all about the money but about the vision of where it can go.
I have even thought of using it in my own brick and mortar company in the U.S.

Agreed, POWR definitely wont be a quick money scheme. It might reward people in the short term if there is more hype around it, but other than that this is a long term project that will enfold its potential over quite some time.

A 500% -1000% increase (based on current USD price of ~$0.50) by end of 2018 is realistic, that is if POWR manages to gain publicity as well as stick with their roadmap to deliver their products and application.

The problem at the moment is that most of us trade POWR in return for Bitcoin, and bitcoin just went up by 200% in the past 30 days. For as long as you trade POWR for BTC and BTC is going up by 25% per week, trader like us will have a hard time to justify investment into POWR.

• I invested 0.2 BTC into POWR ($1815 worth of the bitcoin at the time) in return for 2200 POWR. Now that POWR is worth 0.07 BTC ($1290). A loss of 30%.
• If I would have invested using US dollars for the same amount of $1815 instead, I would now have $1672, a loss of 8%.
• If I would not have invested into POWR, I would now have $3886.93. So I basically lost almost 70%, just because Bitcoin went up so crazy.

That's the downside when trading paired with bitcoin. Even though bitcoin is extremely volatile, going up and down 20% - 30% per day, at the end of the week, Bitcoin has been 20% - 30% higher than the previous week, and it has been doing so for the past 10 weeks.

As far as I know POWR is backed by the australian government. I didnt find any source on it though, only know this from reading this thread. Its possible that I didnt research enough though.
