Dear DeepOnion community,
I finally fulfilled the criteria for the airdrop and got accepted last week. Thank you very much, I am really happy to join the community! I am looking forward to contribute to the project and spread the word!
Great, that DeepTrust was renamed DeepVault. This is more intuitive.
However, I am not entirely sure, how this works. As far as I understood, you can store your data or files in the blockchain. Is there any other coin with this kind of feature or is it a unique feature of DeepOnion?
What about the integrity of data? If it is stored in the blockchain, it will remain in the blockchain forever. So as long as you have a code or hash, you can acces the files forever? Do you have any examples, what kind of files we should consider for this feature?

It means that your are not dependent to the TOR exit bandwidth because you stay inside the tor network. In this situation, mining through tor becomes interesting. Impossible to trace you back even when you mine  And most important point : We are talking about DeepOnion ! Why not mine it through tor for total anonymity ! So with these additional airdrop rules, are they also checking for activity on the DeepOnion Forum itself? I usually spend a lot of time here on Bitcointalk due to different crypto's I'm following
Not now but we plan to make bridge and get our community active in both forums, at this moment only need activity in bitcointalk forums. |

hello everybody, a friend of mine (known here as Knepala) has introduced me to Deeponion and I have bought a bunch of onions. I have a question now that he can't help me with, I want to change laptops, from windows to a Mac. I've already copied the wallet.dat to an external drive but I don't know where to put it on my Mac and how it can synchronize. Any advice is welcome.  anyone? still trying to figure out where the wallet file should go on a mac... |

I think this: Open a finder window, click on "Go" menu "Go to Folder …" enter "~/Library/Application Support/" and open "DeepOnion" folder. I actually think it will be within top 20 in next 2 years. Short time price will be just speculation and does not reflect the actual belief and trust in the coins. So, just hold your coins. This is most sought-after new altcoin (in fact just 2 months old) and it is just the beginning!!!

Hey, Have you dumped and imported your private key? If not, do that. After doing so, you can have export wallet option from file menu. You can sync from that. |

To what ive understand you're not storing the FILE ITSELF on the blockchain but only a hash of it, so that way you can check if your file has been altered and it also proves that you were the original owner of the file (since it was signed with your private key). But the file itself, no it's not stored on the blockchain, that would required too much space. Some coins are storing files thru IPFS which is a P2P protocol for file handling. But i haven't heard of this kind of feature in this project yet. But who knows, it's not out yet... |
