Hello, Bitcoin Talk folk.

I started a Bitcoin cooperative mining operation: bitcoop.org

We sell shares, same as many other Bitcoin mining group buys and hosts who are already here, but we aren't charging management fees over time and instead build into the price of each share some additional equipment so we cover our overhead with expanded mining operations. We will be passing all profits above operating costs down to our shareholders, as well. We accept PayPal and Bitcoin for shares, and we are making ourselves very available to our customers.

I'm hoping to use this forum to talk logistics, operational excellence, and maybe help when I can in developing forward thinking crowd based business models if the opportunity arises. And, yes, advertise that we exist.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I met someone at a Bitcoin meetup and wanted to plug his site:
http://btcwarn.com

It will send you SMS or email alerting you to BTC price changes.

He's open to feature requests, if you see room for improvement. I suggested an option for more frequent alerts, which he plans to implement (even as is, I've been getting a lot of alerts lately!).

I started a Bitcoin / Litecoin "hedge fund": http://www.crypto-finance.com/

It's called Liberty Capital Management, and I currently invest in Bitcoin and Litecoin-denominated exchanges such as http://litecoinglobal.com, bitfunder, btct.co, cryptostocks. I generated a weighted BTC/LTC average profit of 37% the first month, and so far this month I'm at a weighted BTC/LTC average profit of 5.63%.

I would suggest changing your name given the Liberty Reserve fund and games...

Hi all,

I am a developer and nearly finished an application that allows my NAO humanoid robot to dance when receiving bitcoin.  I'm just rounding it off.  I will make a video once it's done and would like to be white listed so that I can post it on bitcointalk.

Thanks

I have data center space available for BTC mining/ WebHosting, AWS Direct Connect/ Cloud Hosting. Our company owns and operates full fiber optic network across North America/ Europe/ AsiaPac. Our Data Center space is in a neutral facility and can provide IP transit, Ethernet and typical Tier II colo. (Security, Internet Access, remote hands, etc).

So I actually changed the name, while I still can. One of the main reasons being that the domain name I managed to get didn't reflect/match the originally intended name "Liberty Capital Management." It's now called Crypto-finance Investments.

I think you made a smart decision in changing the name. Good luck!

  Hi!

I'm starting a coffee importing business, and we're trying to branch into specialty roasting right now. At the moment I can offer green coffee from Indonesia (Madheling, Gayo Mountain, and Toraja) or Colombia (Huila, Cauca, or Narino), for the home or specialty roaster. We offer excellent quality coffee, and starting in about 3 months we will hopefully be able to offer fine roasted coffee beans. PM me for samples or prices.

We are looking for partners who want to start BTC cafés. Also, is anyone interested in developing a loyalty card system so that loyal customers to cafés can load credit for multiple cups of coffee and cookies, cake, etc. onto a card, and then just scan the card each time they visit? This way café owners could offer discounts to regular customers, and cut down on confirmation time by transferring say, 2 BTC onto their card or smartphone to cover a whole month of café visits.

I really want to network with other enterprising bitcoin believers and get the bitcoin economy growing. I can offer green coffee beans that I guarantee will beat the prices for comparable quality, to get you started with your own BTC café or home roasting business! How do I beat the prices of other importers? I lived and worked in Colombia on coffee farms, I have friends in Colombia, I don't go out, I fast regularly, I don't have a car, I live in a very low rent area! Basically I am offering to sell the beans at cost, and then if I can build the business I will take my profit out of efficiency gains resulting from higher volume.

Thank you for reading!

UPDATE: WE HAVE NOW LAUNCHED!

Hello to all you Bitcoiners out there,

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and my company. My name's Rob, my company - BitcoinWebHosting.net. As I'm sure you've put together from the title, we provide anonymous web hosting solutions for the Bitcoin community... and I suppose you could say the world at large. Although, that might sound a little too grandiose.  Grin

We provide the following web hosting solutions:
  • Shared Hosting
  • VPS Hosting
  • Dedicated Servers
  • DDoS Protection

We also offer anonymous domain registration. Not only that, we offer an Anytime Money Back Guarantee on shared hosting plans. We'll refund you in full within the first 60 days, beyond that we offer refunds equal to the remaining value of the time left on your prepaid plan. It's like a warranty that never expires.

However, I don't expect you'll want to go anywhere. We take pride in offering the best service and support you can ask for. It's what we do.

Just so you know, we're on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter (@BitcoinHosting) as well. I look forward to providing an excellent, reliable choice for Bitcoiners and anyone else interested in privacy and anonymity. I try to be as personally available as life allows, so never hesitate to shoot a question my way. I'll get right back to you, or have someone get in touch with you regarding any questions you may have.

Looking forward to being part of the community.

Cheers,
Rob
