Hi there [:
Moderate time lurker, first time registering, and I never realised how hard this newbie wait period would be! It's quite a sufferance.
There are a couple of threads in other boards which I really would like to be able to respond to and provide advice to other people having issues with cudaminer, etc. If someone could see their way to authorising me I'd be stoked.
Business concepts and so on are to be dreamed up. There are a couple of web-based things I have in the works, but nothing worth screaming about as yet.
Thanks to whomever heeds this!

I love the idea, but geography is a slight concern for me, as I'm in the UK.
Hmm, I am located in Germany but starting the business in Seattle, where I'm from. I would like to work in Europe too, but I simply don't have the contacts here. If you are really motivated, though, we can make it happen.

Greetings! I'm responsible for the tech at a company based in Arizona that is trying to basically become the biggest consignment business in the world. I know, never set your sights too low... So far we have two physical stores that are each about 70,000 square feet - and they're filled with all kinds of items, from server racks to washing machines, to power tools, to furniture, to art. Currently we have over 200,000 items (we add about 5,000 a week), most of which are obviously used, but we do get new items as well from time to time. We already do a ton of business locally, and we're integrated into eBay, Amazon, etc - but I've been pushing and so we're going to start experimenting with how to use Bitcoin both in our stores, as well as online, so people can purchase anything we have. I'll post more on the appropriate forum, but if you're interested in seeing what one of our stores looks like, here's a video we shot recently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oibjkpYb_oI

I'm a software developer, mostly building web applications with perl, python and js. I've done quite a bit of linux system administration, and am working on some tools for controlling, monitoring and collecting statistics on miners at the moment.
If you see this and want to chat about feasibility of any project, I'm always open to discussion. I may be open for hire as well, depending on my interest in the project.
Thanks for helping me get out of the newbie forum.

For what it's worth, I'm a licensed architect practicing in Colorado and Texas, and I accept bitcoin. Recently, I got a small side job drafting up a simple home remodel floorplan and am being paid 5 BTC! I love it!
nice!~i'm a Landscape designer located in California...i'm happy to accept cryptocoins !!!!~~~~how do you get the word out? ;-) tia! Getting the word out is the biggest challenge for me. None of my current clients have any clue about bitcoin, so I'm left with putting ads up on Craigslist, architecture for bitcoins, lol. In my field most jobs are repeat business from established clients, so I'm not really sure how to branch out and start a dedicated BTC architecture business.

We are a full service marketing and public relations firm that is looking to work with bitcoin businesses in helping them not only reach out to bitcoin customers but to their current customer base as well. We can help any company or individual get the word out using traditional advertising or public relations techniques. PM us and we can get into more detail about what we can do specifically to help with your companies needs.

Start listing your business in all the bitcoin directories... I wouldnt start dedicated BTC, but slowly introduce it. There are some great videos on how one business started it (he was a doctor) The media will help you by making people aware of Bitcoins and if some already trade in it and you are listed.. you will get that business. I do SEO and marketing and I dont think investing in a marketing campaign is good at this stage, simply because you need to convince people how to use bitcoin... Bitcoin has to market itself, so just make sure your listed in Bitcoin directories now and it will hopefully prove beneficial

I haven't started a Bitcoin business per se, but I have written a paper with a formal proposal for a Peer-to-peer coin based business. I have already sent the paper to the PPC developers. I am now going to share the paper with the world to get the idea going. I am still in newbie lockdown for about another 30 minutes, but after that, I will post the paper to the appropriate PPC thread of Bitcointalk. Here is the paper: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cqaupq6sejv99wr/pr_8U-iBN1/RaisingTheVisibilityAndAdoptionOfPpcoin.pdf

I appreciate that and will keep it in mind, but at this point I don't believe a marketing campaign would provide me a great enough return to offset the cost to get it running. But in the future who knows..?

I have a number of online business mostly information products.
The first I plan on bringing into the bitcoin world is my Online Kung Fu Program. We teach martial arts online and are also a non-profit with a mission of helping at risk youth.
