Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

The chain is moving so slow, and it takes 20 confirms on Bittrex. So it will most likely be a while before any external coins reach it. The price will have a lot of swings between now and then.

Use your brain before posting. The reason for that is because deposits are disabled. As soon as they fix their system, this shitcoin will be dumped.
can  not agree more .
BCC is totally shitcoin ! it worth nothing .
i will buy it 50 $ /peer or lower
I couldn't agree more. bitcoin is like a stone. bch e I don't need I think. $ 50 I'll get.
if he falls that far but not worth the money. remains in our hands.

That's so quickly to take decision about the future of this coin while still this network is not stable and block generation is also taking so long time I think by the end of current month situation will get clear and we will be into better position about the future of this coin.

Most importantly, the value of this coin will be determined by Segwit activation/deactivation...

Of course there is a chance that BCC could have lower fees, and handle transactions better and thus be be more fungible and valuable than BTC after Segwit...

Or Segwit might not activate...

The network is pretty much useless with these blocktimes. This has to be resolves fast or it will kill the party before it even got started

segwit is as close to in the bag as possible.

it's the 2mb part that'll turn everything to shit and that's why this coin was probably created in the first place. it's the threat miners can hang over it.

it was obvious from the signaling that they didn't want segwit. they only went with it to get the hard fork later on. it won't be ready in time or core will poison the thinking over it so they'll threaten to switch to this.

the block size debate hasn't been resolved. it's just been changed and this coin adds a whole lot more scare tactics for the big blockers.

I think this is point on. If Jihan doesnt get his 2x part he will direct his mining to bch.

How to claim BCC if you have BTC wallet in Blockchain.com? Any idea?

You need to get your wallet's private key from blockchain.info and then import it into a bitcoin cash wallet.

Login to your wallet on Blockchain.info.
Goto the 'Settings' Menu on the left.
Goto the 'Addresses' Submenu under 'Settings' Menu.
Click on 'more options' on the right.
Click on 'private key'

Then copy that private key and import it into a new bitcoin cash wallet. You can find the wallets here:
https://www.bitcoincash.org/

Good luck!

Thank you so much! What wallet you are using if you do not mind me asking.

Hey guys, please i need your help! I get no bitcoincash. My problem.

I got 1 btc on my electrum wallet before 01.08...on 02.08. i install electron cash and saw my same amount of bitcoincash..so i do this what i should do, i send my bitcoins at first to another btc adress to bittrex on 02.08..today the deposit of bitcoincash open i tried to send my bitcoincash to bittrex. so i started electron cash, made i new standard wallet und put my private key from this adresse where my bitcoins was from 30.07 - 02.08.. but now my electron cash show me 0 bitcoincash and the same withdraw like the bitcoin withdraw one day before..
what happend, what should i do ?

If you're having an issue with the electroncash wallet connecting to the btc chain do this.
Go to Tools - Overview - uncheck "Select Server Autiomatically"
Click on the Server tab - right click "electroncash.cascharia.com" and click on "use as server"

You might have to exit and restart the wallet for changes to take place.

Agreed. But if you're objective when looking at what happened, you'll agree that Segwit was rammed down peoples' throats with the UASF/BIP148 threat. Seg2x was a compromise, and the 2MB hard fork clearly won't happen.

BCC was well-timed to do an end run around the whole debate - we now have an 8MB block version of Bitcoin, and it's working fine. Even on a Raspberry Pi. I concur that the devs are somewhat obscure, and we don't really know who is mining it.

Rather than re-igniting the blocksize fire, let's just let the market decide. Nothing scary in that.

just got my full VIAbtc withdrawal. Cheesy Cheesy it was just blockchain.info lagging.

slow BCC/BCH network is not going to get any better for long. way to slow retarget for an altcoin. i said it before launch. wait when it actually drops ... its gonna be bad.
if it drops significantly, becomes profitable, next retarget will be devastatnig.

that is seriusly lame, like 2013 all over again, like devs never looked what happened to altcoins like this.

So Bittrex opened deposit, but no coins have yet reached it due to slow confirmations? Then this means that the big dump will still come
