Meanwhile 98 minutes to get my 10 confirmations on bittrex; it`s getting better...

This network is getting stable so in future confirmation will get reduced to standard confirmation. I think BCH will grow as altcoin that is it's fate and this way it will survive for long term.

Block times were getting to 10 mins but seem to be getting longer again ViaBTC hashrate seems to dropping fast used to be over 80PH and I've seen it as low as 14PH today

Other pools seem to be dropping off too the only real contributer is unknown but I suspect to be bitmain

Does this look like a safe network

Almost 90% unknown hashrate where is the security in that this is supposed to be decentralised may as well just use PayPal.

This unknown pool (Bitmain Antpool ?) Could manipulate the blocks anyway they want to benefit them is this really what you are willing to put millions of dollars into

Right this second according to coin dance bitcoin cash is actually more profitable to mine  Shocked

I don't expect it to and hope it don't last

Cut and paste from Coin Dance:

Quote
It is currently 98% more profitable to mine on the original chain.

I think you may be reading that wrong.  It is still 98% more profitable to mine the main chain.

I know is was 200+ more profitable before then after the disiculty changed it went to around 160% and now with the BCH price rise it's now 98% meaning BCH is more profitable by 2%

Uhm, no.  It means just what it says.  It is still 98% more profitable to mine Bitcoin.

I must be understanding it differently from you but it BTC is more profitable it's only just

Can someone else give an option lol if I'm wrong I'll hang my head in shame

Not only just... 98% MORE... basically means you will make (almost) 2x (TWICE) as much mining on the original chain.

If you mine 1 BCH for the same hash you will mine 1.98 BTC.

More profitable is what is says.

EDIT: That's wrong actually... profit is based on coins USD price as well as difficulty, not how many you mine.

At least, I assume that is how they are calculating this.

Yes it's the dollar value and BCH is about 11% of BTC and difficulty is about 17% lower

I read it as 100% means equal > 100 BTC more and <100 BCH is more

Just ran the numbers through a calculator and it appears I could have been wrong 100% is twice as profitable so it's slightly less than twice as profitable on Bitcoin BTC  Grin

I'll show myself out the door  Undecided

A calculator? Seriously?? The issue you were having was related to your ability to understand English, not to your math skills. If something is "more profitable" by any amount then it simply is more profitable, period. It's impossible to understand "more profitable" as less profitable, unless you have some linguistic or logic (or mental) problems. Neither of those, though, would be bypassed by using a calculator.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. BCC up 66% on bittrex and stable...

Here's some bold stuff for the new readers.

BTC transfer time and queues are sh!t, they are too slow for the masses. BTC it self is like a 1995 year calculator. They need a fix. Remember the FOMO of ETH taking over BTC aka the swap? Well this is actualy legit, why? Becouse it's a fix with a CASH word in i. This will boost the total crypto's market cap by a lot and that's what they need, simple marketing!

What you need to do to get out of a 9 to 5 roller coaster or become a millionaire step by step:

1) Buy as much BCC as you can, yes sell your home, rent a flat for 6 months, thank me later.
2) Print screen this post, copy paste and photoshop on it "my first million" print and frame it. Put it up to the wall or desk or under the pillow.
3) Go to Walmart and buy a pair of steel balls
4) Estimation 40,000.00 US per BCC by 2020.

I read it as 100% means equal > 100 BTC more and <100 BCH is more

I based it that on their original "3.6x more ..." they had originally.

Often times percentages can be confusing because 100% can equal 1x and 200% can mean 2x.  I could be wrong.  I don't care.  It's 100% speculation, but I think BCore has until about November to segregate transactions or we'll see movement away from the fee markets.  If all tx fees are paid on "2nd layer" (brilliant term), then we may see hash power move.

People are not going to "mine at a loss" as a part of their business, as some have suggested. It's an energy-intensive industrial process to do at the top of game.

Sorry you logic is flawed
1) Where to live after 6 months if you only become millionaire in year 2020?
3) Where to put steel balls into?
4) What if a new Real Bitcoin comes in 2019?

But overall I agree BCC might increase in price and with time a lot. But sell house.. dude thats bubble thinking

I think this may actually put a positive on BCC / BCH in the media because it's a "break" or "upgrade" from Bitcoin.  It may provide breathing room for those who "couldn't buy Bitcoin", as banks had reported when moving into ETH.  They bought ETH simply because BTC had a "bad" name associated with it.

What you need to do to get out of a 9 to 5 roller coaster or become a millionaire step by step:

If I have learned anything from crypto, it's to not underestimate its value.  I think the "BCore" maximalists, who sold all their Bitcoin Cash for Bitcoin - immediately - probably over-reacted in an effort to "clean" their Bitcoins and pretend they can still live in a world without this giant looming in the wings.

I'm mining both.

I think Bitcoin Cash will be know as the REAL Bitcoin.

And that segwit trash G.Maxwell version of bitcoin ,
will be an altcoin called LNCOIN or called offchain bitshitcoin, behind closed doors.

Example:
Once Segwit & LN are functional, you will no longer give a Bitcoin transaction ID as proof of payment,
you will have to give LN Counterfeit Transaction ID as proof of payment. (Might as well use paypal or a bank as LN)
IE: The reason Bitcoin 1MB should now be called an Altcoin called LNCoin.

With Bitcoin Cash , the Bitcoin Transaction IDs will always be proof of payment.

╥Aztek

You mean over the laughing stock it is now

So if you love offchain transactions so much , why are you even in crypto?
Paypal and visa should be all you need.

Bitcoin Cash will kick LNCoin's ass, only a matter of time, and all of your antihype will do nothing to stop it.
Because it is ONCHAIN, with cheaper transaction fees and 8X the onchain transaction capacity of LNCoin (Bitcoin 1MB).

Bitcoin Cash the Real Bitcoin,  All other Bitcoin version are just BitShit next to CA$H.
(Which will be apparent to all within 1 year.)

╥Aztek

You do know that if/when LN comes to bitcoin you DO NOT need to use it you can still trade on chain

This is nice to see price is getting recover if this will continue with this trend than we have chance to reach 0.15 BTC before distribution on Poloniex. I still had some coins on Bittrex but not interested to sell them at low price.

Yeah i do think 0.15 BTC will be seen soon... But explain me this (as you see, I'm still a newbie): Distribution on Poloniex will make the price pump or dump? Because a lot of people still don't "believe" in this coin, and when they get this coin, they will sell it. Right? So, what do you think about that? We will get to 0.15 but as soon as Poliniex starts to distribute, the price will get back to 0.07 or less?

Probably, because it's free money at the first sight and probably the offer higher than demand

You do know that if/when LN comes to bitcoin you DO NOT need to use it you can still trade on chain

You do Know that without LN your 1 MB Bitshit CAN NOT handle a decent amount of transactions.
or
were you asleep for the 1st few months of this year , where bitcoin 1mb failed completely to keep up with transactions and kept raising the fees.

Bitcoin Cash is the Technical Fix , that your master G.Maxwell was too stupid to include in the code.
The Rest of the Bitcoin Community was tired of waiting on your Banker Buddies BTC Core Devs, so they fix the code their selves, and CA$H was born.
ie: G.Maxwell & BTC Core Dev have been fired for incompetence , go play with your counterfeit LN Notes , the rest of us will stick with Onchain trustworthy transactions.

╥Aztek

take easy bro ,are you trying to say that bitcoin will collapse soon because of failed 1 megb block size . i don't think that is true because transaction going smoothly better than before.
