Hmm funny I did some experiments with that Bitcoin Clash Daemon but it seems the oversize Block doesn't get accepted on the abc daemon as well...

Saw this on another thread:

BCH Mempool is 1.6Mbytes, so it's over the 1M threshold to trigger the fork when the block is found.

THE FUN PART:

Bcc forked at wrong block. No full mempool.
That means their code is faulty and will continue to fork
or they did some offline trick to make "orphan" to continue their own chain.

Trick or fail, that can be only solved after their first block.

Is that true?

This is getting too much of a drama for me after so much anticipation and capitulations for a coin fork, within hours it is still yet to be categorized as fully successful trying to bring the entire "cryptosphere" down, if BCC becomes the best chain then so be it but at the moment its not looking like a very good thing!

https://pool.viabtc.com/

Now we are sure that ViaBTC is misreporting the information.

According to them, still, after the block mine, half of the entire Bitcoin world is mining BCC.

 Shocked  Embarrassed  Sad

There seems to be one reason for that: There is a sub-community who considers ViaBTC authorative, who is relying on ViaBTC for information.

I am so sorry for that community.

I'm even sorrier that we have to be the recipients of all this anti-effort at the behest of untruth.

I just about cannot stand it. Just about...  Angry

This is what is called "evil".

Hmm I'm not sure and I didn't do much diligence myself but from what I've heard and read that BCC thing is the "last try" of the Antminer producers to save their advantage in SHA256 mining by using the "Asicboost technology". Asicboost isn't compatible with segwit and they'd lose their advantage and would need to miner like every other sha256 asic if the network switches to segwit blocks.

However - the way that bitcoin abc (BCC) handles it - IS Asicboost compatible..

Now if I'd had a farm (in china) with several Petahashes and thousands of miners / racks - I'd at least understand why I'd try to save my 25% speedup against other miners.. My company is 25% more profitable as long as I can mine "empty" blocks where only 1 TX is incuded - the TX which pays the block to the miner (myself)..

AFAIK (not sure) ViaBTC / Roger Ver is somehow connected to Antminer etc...
