These days ICO projects are too many to count, and there are few good quality projects, I still like POW coins.Because it has a hash to support it.

I especially like the ones with cpu only mining because it gets more decentralized and less waste of energy and more adoption. I think biblepay has a bright future.

Glad that this isn't another ico. This looks like something I can get behind and it has also been getting a decent amount of attention so far. Good luck to you dev.

I will suspend mining before the appearance of the pool, 3 days of no block, the difficulty has greatly increased.

I am also not getting connections, even after adding the addnode to my biblepay.conf file:

Code:
server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=node.biblepay.org
addnode=97.99.69.33
generate=1

This is the result of telnet:

Code:
telnet node.biblepay.org 40000
Trying 97.99.69.33...
Connected to node.biblepay.org.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
This all happens instantly after I press enter. The connection is closed immediately.

IPtables and netstat:

Code:
iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Code:
netstat -plunt
(Not all processes could be identified, non-owned process info
 will not be shown, you would have to be root to see it all.)
Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address           Foreign Address         State       PID/Program name
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:40000           0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      30275/./biblepay-qt

I tried the command
Code:
addnode node.biblepay.org onetry
and I got this output in debug.log:
Code:
socket recv error Connection reset by peer (104)

Any advice?

Try clicking on Tools | Peers and ensure you have no peers banned, reset wallet, delete banlist.dat, and ensure you are on 1017.
Your config file is good enough - and your telnet appears to be working.

Its working for over 250 people - that leads me to believe it is something on your end that is interfering with the network.

No peers were banned.

I was able to solve the problem by adding a bunch of addnodes as suggested by jc12345, though I found my nodes on the explorer before his post was created. The question remains: why can I connect to other nodes but not node.biblepay.org?

Its working for over 250 people - that leads me to believe it is something on your end that is interfering with the network.
Consider the following: node.biblepay.org was up until 3 hours ago (hypothetical). 250 people connected to node.biblepay.org and found each-other via their shared connection to node.biblepay.org. 3 hours ago node.biblepay.org went down or suffered a network interruption, meaning new nodes can't connect to it, but can connect to each other if added manually.

How else can it be explained that I can't connect to node.biblepay.org but I am able to connect to all other nodes?

Hello Bible_Pay,

I have a wallet question / enhancement...

When tithing 10% you check the box, how difficult would it be for it to calculate the sending amount + 10%  Or Sending Amount - 10%...  Or some combination where the user doesn't need to pull out a calculator.  Figuring the 10% is easy after a long day, but subtracting that number from the sending amount to be sure you have the balance to cover it...  out comes the calculator.  Just thinking if you make it very easy to tithe, more people are likely to do it, especially when consolidating wallets.  Smiley

To the mining pool fans, I think keeping to the wallet is important, even if it eventually (optionally) points to a pool by the Dev.  It reminds us to tithe, donate, or use the other functions.  If I needed some soul out there to say a short prayer for me, if I were to put one in, no one would otherwise see it, hence no prayers carried away by angels.

Keep up the great work.

I believe I see whats happening here -

Weve had such a large increase in users but when a new user is just getting started, their peers.dat file is still empty, so you only know about one node.

The node.biblepay.org was exceeding its connection limit, so I just added this to the config (if we have any other external node volunteers out there):
maxconnections=300

Now I see the connections are increasing; please try again.

I increased the maximum number of connections to the block explorer's node, it should be pretty reliable.

It can be added manually as previously described, by adding to your .conf
Code:
addnode=biblepay.inspect.network
or in the debug menu/command line using
Code:
addnode biblepay.inspect.network add
