i always prefer ethereum to bitcoin. because bitcoin always problem and processing taking long time all transaction.

This should be resolved this year, so it's not a good reason.

If btc price drops, ETH price also always goes down.
If BTC price increases ETH price sometimes increases sometimes not.
So btc would be better i think.

I think ETH is the best coin.I always suggest ETH because ETH future is so much good.After 4-5years ETH hit worth of 4000$-5000$ it's my personal opinion.I think ETH is best for investment & ETH future is so good better than BTC.

Looking for ETH because ETH is always special for me & ETH change my life.BTC dumping always & sometime pumping but most of the time ETH so pumping.I think at future ETH price is cross BTC that's why I prefer 10 ETH.

With $3000 to invest, is there any advantages to either, with the expectations/hopes that they both will continue to grow?  Just trying to see what others would do, as I plan to let this initial investment sit for 5yrs minimum in a cold wallet.

If i do have that money to put on then i would really go for Bitcoin when we do speak about 5 years harvest time then btc would be a good choice but if you are on doubts then you can divide your money and go for eth too so that you do have both coins specially for long term but dont really expect too much since no one would really know on what would happen on next 5 years.Its either you would smile for profits or would grudge on the money you lose on those coin when they already tend to dump on those years but its a really hard thing to believe for these two coins to dump on those days.I would rather believe they did already reach new all time highs compared as of todays price.

buying and holding any altcoin for long term is a huge risk, they can simply get dumped hard and disappear in a moments notice and nobody will even care because nobody uses them really, people will actually enjoy the dump of an altcoin because they will happily short it to make a lot of money.
and when it comes to ethereum you know it is in a bubble and a terrible idea to invest in a bubble.

as for bitcoin, it is too big, with a lot of different usages. the price can never go down drastically. you look at the charts sometimes and see a big red candle that scares you but that is a short lived manipulation dropping the price 5% tops!!! and it jumps back up always.
and the usage is growing and adoption comes with it and consequently the price will rise in long term.

altcoins in comparison are staying idle, no adoption, no more usage, .... they just get pump and dumped.
in other words: alts are good short term trading things never long term.

Yes it seems so, but now many web wallets and exchangers have made announcements not to receive and send bitcoin from 31 July, so for now I prefer ethereum than bitcoin.

Yup there are a lot of advantages when you invest $3000. Some of them are given below. As you invest $3000 above your USD increasing on daily based in high number if you invest in a few like $50 to $500 then the number of USD increasing in very less. So, I would tell you that this is the only best advantage and even the best on advantage which can take you higher.

Undoubtedly you should invest in Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will never lose its value.
Bitcoin could go to 5000$ in next 2 years.

Both are really good investment but i have lost a bit of hope from eth due to thw current situations i know low price , hack are common with crypto and bitcoin itself has been hacked several times but eth will take time to be like bitcoin. My best advice invest half in btc half in eth. Eth is good for short term but for long term it can take months like from 10 to 300 eth was struggling at $7-10 for more than a year. It has a slow increase but has good profits.

This is not true. If you think Bitcoin is slow you should check Ethereum when a new big ICO raise money. Don't you ever see unconfirmed transactions, lost gas fees, angry people here? It happened in Bancor and Status ICO's. People couldn't send ETH for hours. Bitcoin never have this kind of problem.

5 years. I think for a very long time better investing in Bitcoin because bitcoin has more potential to be better than Ethereum.

I will go for BTC sir. ETH and BTC have several issues hounding them right now but in general BTC is still the most trusted. All people doing crypto trust BTC more than anything else. Hacking has been a serious issue for ETH. BTC has never been hacked. In 5 years, the price of bitcoin will be 6 figures. You are assured of that.

Some people have a strange understanding of what "cheap" means. What you have do is multiply this value by the number of coins in circulation. This will give you the marketcap, which is a much better parameter.

Bitcoin is the main Crypto-Currency, the best one. Some people like to invest in ETH or diversify funds among different currencies, but I personally would prefer for now to put all my tickets in BTC. The price will probably increase a lot in few months (who knows, maybe 50%-100%), I'm not sure if ETH has the same potential... I don't think so.

1 BTC worth much more than 10 or even 100 ETH.  

Especially because you want to put it into a cold wallet for at least 5 years, BTC potential is huge on long term.

I agree, choose BTC for long term, did U know how much time that btc need to gain this present price? I dont think other crypto could do the same. BTC is limited, and more and more people are using it, so the price will climb as more people use it. So dont doubt your self. everyone know the cryptoss market are fluctuate, be it bitcoin or ethereum. but thats how the cryptoss work.

I would rather hold 1 BTC holding it in the wallet as a long-term investment and not interested in holding 10 ETH in the next 5 years

Im a fan of eth but my faith is in btc when it comes to long term holding. As bitcoin is more valuable and there's no way to surpass btc by eth. And holding 1 btc versus 10 eth will be more profitable than ever.
