The truth is many people want to use some websites that ask for their data and then they give it, they put their data on the website.
Once the website sells their data, the people get angry  .

The concept of the project is incredible, and considering that I do a lot of thins on the internet, then my data must be worth a lot XD, or perhaps trumps data would be worth more? what if a celebrity uses this service? if shakira sells her data, will it cost more than my girlsfriends'?

It would be hard to persuade a celebrity to sell their data, probably cost a fortune. But if they can, then it would draw huge attention.

I don't think that some personal data from celebrity will be profitable or needed in any purpose, especially for platform like datum

but how are they going to harvest your data by only using your e-mail? That doesn't really make sense for me.
According to the Whitepaper, the data they are interested is more personal like Facebook, Healthkit, Twitter and so on.

Its exactly what you should do when applying to promotions like that. If someone didnt know before that by giving away your email you give them a lot of valuable data, Datum showed they that this is exactly what they were doing. Lesson learned for next time.

Any form of Data is useful. An email and IP can already be linked on MANY behavior patterns of the user. Not saying Datum has any intentions of selling this data. I just realized

i read the whitepaper and when i understand, the Datum concept shows that it is possible to have greater control over your data,
and in the future to be able to claim them.

Actually, i believe their soft cap is symbolic mostly. And they already gathered it during pre-sale.

Probably they have layers in their budget, more funding means more thing to do. More advertising, more hiring, better platform and faster progress.

According to the DATUM whitepaper (you can find it here: https://datum.org/assets/Datum-WhitePaper.pdf) the launch of the test net aka the beta release will be in December 2017. A feature complete release candidate will be deployed in March 2018.
