Why are people taking Neo seriously, when there's only one active developer on GitHub? Really, only one, not even two.

And please don't tell me that they're working in a private repository, or some repository used only by Chinese people, which you can't link to.

I'm honestly curious about this. You would have thought that after raising so much money, they'd use it to create a working wallet, some apps and whatever else is needed.

This was Da Hongfei's answer to this question in the Reddit AMA from the end of July:

Quote
There are about half a dozen full-time developers here in Shanghai, among them two are core developers. We don’t need tens of people doing protocol level development. Other than that, there are a few dozens more contributing code and ideas as community members, some of them are Onchain DNA developers. Besides we have a few academic researchers serving as technical advisors. By saying Core developer, we mean who has commit permission on GitHub. Bitcoin has 15 core developers as of today.

He has also stated that they deliberately use a very high threshold for defining a 'core developer'; i.e., more of the NEO devs would be listed as 'core' on another coin. But, for example, the City of Zion developer community is actively developing for NEO, yet they aren't considered 'core' NEO devs.

I'm not arguing for or against this approach; just relaying facts.

Can someone explain how NEO and GAS work? Is it if you hold GAS in a client wallet you get NEO or is it the other way around or am I complete? Because I see that GAS is the asset of the 2 so I assume it's the on that pays. I was reading about somewhere but now I can't find it and i would rather be sure before jumping in. Thanks a head

When you keep NEO in your wallet is "stakes" GAS.
Supply of GAS is much lower that NEO

GAS at 31 USD  Cool

How much GAS can I produce from 100 NEO on average per day?

How much GAS can I produce from 100 NEO on average per day?

https://neocoins.net

If I enter 100, it says:

Quote
You will generate approximately 0.03328 Ant/Neo Coins per day.

It'll take you approx. 30 day(s) and 1 hour(s) to get 1 Ant/Neo Coin.

In one year, you will have 12.1472 Ant/Neo Coin(s)!

But NEO doesn't generate NEO, it generates GAS. Why it says that I will get NEO?

If they translate GAS to NEO with current exchange rate, then GAS inflates by 1% of NEO market cap, i.e. 10 mln., it is 16% per month with current market cap. Are my calculations correct here?

It is saying ant/neo 'coins'

This is before the rebranding from antshare to neo ; antcoin to gas

So 100 NEO will generate 1 GAS coin per month then?

In this case GAS supply is 500000 coins per month, which is 16% monthly inflation. Is it correct? I calculated the inflation using coinmarketcap and got just 21000 coins per month which is less than 1%.

Supposedly, yes. Can't accumulate GAS when NEO is in exchange though
