When it has been insta-mined enough someone will throw up a pool I bet Smiley
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

yeah but the windows users (99%) of the net would probably rather mine a litecoin clone that they had a fair crack at to start with. But i like the name.

I'll add 50 doubloons to that bounty. Blastbob let me know if anybody coughs it up, as I'll be in and out all day and may miss it.

Best I can do is a Windows Daemon (command line version). Those QT wallets just don't seem to want to compile for me.

I've been mining for a while now. It's nice not to have so many orphans for a change. Wink

Have been mining this in windows since a couple minutes after launch, just run the wallet or daemon in a Linux VM and point your miner at that.

and how many windows users do you think use a VM on the desktop? Probably a very very low number.

So, just install it Wink it's free and fast. And you have to do it only once.

fast = download 40Mb virtual box, 700Mb ubuntu, 10min installation, 15minutes configuration. I just did it 3 times today...
