This is one of the most interesting application involving the block chain technology and the real world. Results so far looks really impressive (25000ETH!) i have great expectation and looking forward to start investing in your platform.

Good, more exposure for the project, so we will have more people to invest for the upcoming ICO, the project is simple, company invest in real estate, you can chose a real state to invest among the list the company invest, now you have shares in the property, and get dividends from the rental of the place, on a monthly basis, because your token is back up for a real state, the value of the token its kept, meaning it can't be dumped easily.

As a newbie, im doing research in different ICOs and coins, to invest in. There is so many to choose from :s
I read the whitepaper of REAL and please let me know if im correct about this; the money collected by ICO will be used to invest in real estate, and the profits will be returned to the investers in Ether?

I think this is a correct assumption. So it looks like we are investing into a real a state buseniss? How do we avoid the risk of money being locked for years in real a state? If we cash out, can we do this with REAL? How will the value of a property be determined? Or do we sell tokens on an exchange, basically letting the market decide how much the portfolio of REAL is worth

I Think this is fairly well described in the whitepaper. Two main factors of income for tokenholders if I remember right, rental earnings and Selling of properties. So in addition to long term hodl for the ones who anticipates an increase of property value. In "short term" rental earnings might be more interesting but I assume this will still be a few years away.

Is the countdown timer on the website wrong? The token sale FAQ states that it starts 1:00 PM GMT August 31st. However, the countdown timer on the website corresponds to 3:00 AM GMT September 1st, I think?

I would say you are wrong ad in FAQ is 3PM Munich Time and countdown time is also ending at 3PM Munich Time.

This is exactly what's described in the whitepaper. The potential return on investment, is very promising.
In a later stadium when the tokens become tradable you will be able to buy shares of real estate as an investor and receive dividends based on that investment.

After seeing the demo of the platform i have a question. When the details of the platform are displayed, will there be any demographic data? Things like average income of the neighborhood, crime rates in comparison to the rest of the city, etc. For residential properties i believe this can be a very strong factor. Of course the platform that you showed is still alpha/beta, but it is a function that i believe could be useful.

Since they're focusing on hospitality, I don't think that demographic data is relevant. Customers come to those pieces on vacation, from other places.

We've woke up this morning with this message from Ian Balina, one of the most influential youtubers on the Crypto-scene.

I've also seen that you guys have a 4,7/5 rating on icobench.com. good job. it seems there's a lot of confidence here.

i would not take icobench.com as a serious information site for icos. if you look at the icos listed there and their ranking, it is obvious that something is pretty fishy.

most of the icos suck and they still got a 4+ rating. eye opening for those, who have a lots of informations about the icos Smiley that this is a non reliable rating site.

@melissa_sapmaz you should edit the second post in this thread - or maybe the OP - in order to reflect the preICO results and provide links to ICO reviews and articles that have been posted. On one hand it's nice to have a short OP but it simply does not reflect the size of the project.

As i understand it you're real tokens aren't locked once you invest them into a property (correct me if i'm wrong). So you can withdraw them at any time. Still hare to know how this works out - in the last week I followed this thread there was a lot of discussion - but still the project seems a bit abstract to me, even though it is a real world application. Wonder how this changes when the team gets a hold of the funds andd can really start to work....

Yes, it's a long-term investment. The investment value used is quite high due to the long-term benefits.
