Big amount of money will only give you fastest way to rank up, basically you can do it with small amount every bet but you need to do it frequently.
I can say this because it is my own experience, I'm now Platinum IV, but my average amount per bet is no more than $10.
I mostly played original stake games (never bet more than $5 per bet), my average big bet is when I play slot game by using the buy in feature which usually cost me $10-$20 per buy spin.
However I did not play slots more than the origal games, so I can say that 80% of my wagering number comes from the original games with small bets.

I agree, there could be some very specific circumstances in which it could make sense to chase for a VIP level, like when you are very close to a new rank and you are close to receive some bonuses regarding that new rank and the bonuses are higher than what you can lose on average to reach that new rank, but this is so specific that it hardly makes sense to look out for it, people should just gamble at their own rhythm and reach whatever rank they can whenever they can.

if indeed you have stated that gambling for you is just for fun, maybe it is true that you don't need to pursue your VIP level, it will only make you tormented. I mean, you gamble just for fun and entertain yourself and everything changes when you have thoughts of increasing your VIP level, whereas you prefer to use a smaller budget to bet. so your mind to raise the VIP level will be a big ambition and end badly.

It is better to put your money where your mouth is, altcoins most especially Casino based tokens have really performed below expectation in the past few months back, and up till now there is no recovery sign for most of them after the last market crash.
