I had this as well. When I asked support they just advised the usual, clean cache and cookies but also didn't help much. I then switched to another browser ( from Brave -> Chrome ) and it worked. Still having this issue from time to time but mostly it's ok.

The downside of mandatory KYC is simply because there are still many gamblers (especially low bankroll gamblers) who do not want to do KYC verification. Even if the casino has so great reputation like stake, but it wont change the fact that those who are against KYC for gambling purpose will not do it because it is about preferences. Good for me, I created my Stake account long time ago when KYC was not required and I can still play in Stake till now without any issues. I think that's both a bad thing but also not a bad thing at the same time. It's normal for people to want to hide their location, hell even the owners hide their location when they login to stake, imagine how normal it is that even owners could do it, so that's a normal thing.

But, the VPN that he uses must be either a free one, or a bad one, and if you use something that is much better and expensive and famously known, then all of these problems would go away, and you can even pick the location that you want to be part of, that would be a lot better. I personally believe that the best thing to do here could just be changing the VPN because that's the only bad part.

For me though maybe Stake may allow access using VPN but I don't think it will be good in the future.
Maybe at this time there are still those who access using a VPN just to be able to access Stake but the concern that is in my mind is when someone uses a VPN and turns out to win big and is asked to do KYC.

You can be an american living in london, there is really nothing that stops you from gambling in london just because you are american. I have to say that's an attitude you might have to change in the future, especially if you win enough money.

Last year stake data breach has happened, 1 month ago Rollbit casino has sent emails to almost all Stake high-rank users with free reloads (mine was over $900). I don't trust third-parties when it is about my personal data. Maybe someone feels like it is ok to share personal documents but I am not feeling comfortable and surely many users think the same way, IMO.

If indeed you don't want a bonus with the conditions for completing verification, then you don't need to worry about completing the verification.
Because so far I have used Stake.com and there have never been any problems regarding KYC and of course we can still rely on Stake.com as our favorite gambling platform and we can continue to be loyal customers there.
