If you really want to make it big in your investment in cryptocurrency you should do day trading is far more better than buying and holding. Bitcoin though has returned significant value to it early investors has not well compared to those who buy and sell it daily. You should know that trading is very risky and don't go into it without proper knowledge on how it work.

I would just like to hear your opinions, Which is more profitable, Day Trading where you can profit through buying the dips and selling when it pumps repeatedly, or Long term HODLing where you buy the dip and only sell it when it goes up 5 to 10 times its price value?
I think both are good way to earn money and both has great position now. Trading is more important way to earn with short possible of time and possible to earn daily. But holding is the long term. Though it is long based term, seems it is best way to earn huge money. Buy with low price and hold for getting a good profit.

If you do have the funds then doing both things would really be a good move because you would able to maximize your profits either on long term or short term as long we are sure on what we are doing and not confusing ourselves regarding on the coins we are trading and holding but well this thing would depend on the capability of a certain person if hed like to engage on either short or long. The important thing is on where we can able to make money.

Day trading is difficult to get into. Initially it looks easy with the principle Buy low sell high. But practically it is not easy. You have to learn day trading before trading big amounts.Big trade gives you big profits.Long term is quite easy compare to day trading. But I suggest to invest in only popular coins.

For me i do prefer the long time holding because the profit is slowly but surely unlike in day trading it is very risky and it causes a loy of stress specially when at loss.

Holding is a less risky strategy and thus is far more likely to be profitable but I think someone who can effectively day trade will make more, the difficulty comes from the fact that it is much harder to actively day trade than it is to spot a long-term winner.

this is my strategy. 60% for day trade 30% for long hold 10% backup. why 60%. because we need money to backup if price fall down on short term.

I prefer day trading by selling it when the price goes up no matter how much profit I get, I don't have to wait for pump because the most important is to sell at a price that makes me gain profit.

Well they are both earn in that kind of strategy but for me i prefer on holding because they are profitable in many times it could be a nice assurance that your coin will increase the value in order to earn big profit.

I agree with you that it totally depends on your capabilities and skills. If you are very good at market analysis or are having some background of subjects like business administration, economics etc you can go for day trading. But if the things are otherwise, I will suggest holding coins for profit. And also you are right if those have no skills so they need to hold it for long term.

I am doing a mixture of daily trading and hodling. So, I "know" in the long run I will (hopefully) have some nice profits but I am not forced to make daily trading every day. If you would focus only on day trading then you might run into the problem that you have to do something everyday even if the situation is really bad. But it is better to have the freedom to skip daily trading for some days.
Hi, I just want to know if you say day trading, is it morning in US or evening? Just a bit confuse. First time trader here. Sorry to say but it is proper for you guys to be making use of google once in a while. If you had just typed daytrading on google, it would have given you explicit information than what you would have gotten here. However, to help your condition, it is a term used when you refer to buying and selling of a security or asset within a single trading day. More like staying glues to your system and trying not to miss the slightest chance of profit no matter how little. It is more like the opposite of holding for a long term hopefully for more profit. I hope that helps you and if it doesn't, it isn't my business as you can gladly ask google.

I started with holding, and that is my choice for now. I am accumulating different alt-coins, tokens and I have in plan to have nice portfolio like some members here have. That will take time and money, but I have goals. About day trading I can not say much except that looks hard for me, I never had experience with anything similar. I follow news about some innovations and I would like to have more money to invest in this projects that offer something new, but I do not have for all of them. Prices are going up and down and it is very hard for newcomers like me to predict this movements and to earn from them. I will try with day trading one day when I complete my current goals with bitcoins and alt-coins.

Holding more relaxed in my opinion. No need to think about price conditions in market. Especially if i have to watching charts everyday. Day trading will take up my time and become less economical, because profits that i achieve not yet big.

I think we better buy new altcoin with great people behind it that planned to put their coin into famous exchanger. Because the price of that coin could rise until over 200%. But it is depend on you, I just give you an adivce.

I think after years of experience in this space that everyone is different so you can't know for sure what's best for you unless you try, just obviously DYR and be as prepared as possible.

Hodling all the way. You will lose precious bitcoins by trying to trade when you can just buy stress free and watch the price rise over the years. Every 5 years you can take a chunk of profits, and so on.

Nah. I will just hold on my coins. I think trading is not for me, admittedly. Although being a trader means that you can play around and profit daily, weekly or monthly, I'm not up to that task. I'm afraid that my emotions would take over and instead of profiting from it, I might lose a lot. Though you at a point can mitigate risk, but I don't know. But by just buying and holding, specially if you are in it for the long haul, you can just watch how your investment grow. No worries, no need to wake up in the wee hours in the morning to do trading. Of course, when the price goes down, you feel nervous and panic, but I have my way of dealing with it. By not looking at the price very often. LOL.
