As most of people here are stating, it should be in between.

I personally hold 75-80%, and daily trade 20-25%.

I am new to trading so cannot afford to take risk of going for day trading as it will only bring loss for me if I have invested in wrong coin at a wrong time so I believe in investing in the best coin with good volume and will have patience to hold it till I don't make enough profits out of it and later on may be will take risk of going for day trading.

Day trading is for experts who have spent lot of time on trading sites but for newbie day trading is always an risk of loosing money as if he see price dropping he will easily get panic and sell his coins at low price so if you are new to trading world then the best choice for you is to invest in good altcoins and hold it till its price goes higher.

I agree, if not having a way of trading will bring losses better understand how to trade and have a good strategy to get good results.
if you don't have a strategy it will harm you  Smiley

If you are looking for a good exchange to trade, it is best if you make use of bittrex, however, you should know that it is getting compulsory now to get your account verified. Exchanges is not just about getting good prices, cause you will end up getting what the normal market is offering, the main difference is the chance they give you to trade consecutively, unless you are looking for local exchange anyway. Fees are dependent on the exchange you are using as well.

I would just like to hear your opinions, Which is more profitable, Day Trading where you can profit through buying the dips and selling when it pumps repeatedly, or Long term HODLing where you buy the dip and only sell it when it goes up 5 to 10 times its price value?

Both, is profitable and depends on your capital amount to trade ,Somehow, day trading is more hard to do if you have no good skills on it it it a very risky game ,you are like trading of war which in any moment it can dump hard or pump hard . Long term holding is a sure profit if you invested in a Altcoin that have a big potential in the next months or years.

Day trading and holding your coins to earn more profit both will allow to you gain bitcoins. It will only be depending on how you handle your time and how hard you are going to work each day to earn more profit for your income.

Yeah you are absolutely right. In this regard, it is only you that can make the difference. If you can handle both at a time, for example you have enough money to buy bitcoin and make them on hold and then you again buying some more bitcoins and do day trade with them.

Results will be amazing, profit become double or even more. Just need your hard efforts and time for better results.

I'm just thinking about how to accumulate profits after daily calculations, day trade is important because I have to stay focused on factual news and graphics, I'm not happy to be late and lose momentum as the market moves so fast. But I still hold some coins for the long term even if only a few.

Day trading and holding of bitcoins, both are very much profitable. It all depends on you, in which thing you are comfortable at. If you have this much of time that you can do day trading, then this is the fastest way of earning more money. Otherwise, if you want to go for long term investment then you should go for holding. Holding too is good but for that you need to have good patience.

Both ways are profitable but it depends on the level of your knowledge and skills. Day trade is quite hard to master but it is the best way and it is the most profitable if you compared it to just holding. The profitability of HODL'ING purely depends on future developments and potential of the coin, so it requires many time before you can get profits.

Both will make you earn profit in common then why not do both. Do trading and save even the small amount of profit that you will earn so it can still grow big. In another side, The profit that you earn on holding your coins is depending in the amount of capital that you have, So i prefer that you work hard and do both at the same time.

Both methods are profitables in my opinion. I prefer holding but I do trading too, and I generate good income from both ways. Holding is more profitable in the long run, while trading is useful and give us fast earning. I think it is better to try them both because there is always some risk involved either with trading or holding, because the price is volatile.
Trading is only profitable if you know what you are doing, and that is the biggest problem many people just see the profits they can get and they start to trade immediately and this is a mistake, you need to learn first how to trade and test your skills if you are not good enough then it is better to remain a holder than to lose all your money when trading.

I do both. Actually I do some short term trades in coins with great news, but I also always use a stop loss limit.

Without it I fear that the coin goes down extremely in a short time (like clam did) and I have to watch the price every few minutes :3.

I think it depends upon the recuirments and conditions of the trader that what he has and what he want .
Here you are saying for the profit that is maximum in which out of them .
Here in my opinion long term.( For 3 to 4 month rarely ) is a better trading timing , Because in such types of the trading we have full chance to make buy and sell easily without going in sudden work ( like in the case of pumping or anything else .
But if the trader is going to make trading of du trading then surely here I can say that it will be profitable always for that person because even 1% is a profitbale thing because in the day trading usually people needed more amount of bitcoin .

Day trading seriously needs a lot of experience or else we will lose our money. But you are saying you will do day trading for fun. it is up to you mate i think you are ready to afford your loss. I am not ready so i go for holding.

It depends on the trader and what coin you are holding, Even small profits can be big when you save it all, Its all about strategy and how hard you work to monitor the market daily.

It all depend on your trading style because the two systems are good although day trading is tiring while holding  is easy once you get your fundamentals and technicals right. But me i prefer to buy at bottom and exit at near resistance.

I would say that long term investing is the only way to be profitable long term. When you buy dips and sell highs you risk that the new high will never come. If you don't know true value of the asset you are buing you are merely speculating that someone will pay more for possibly worthless asset. Bitcoin is only a way to exchange goods not an asset to invest in. It's simmilar to buying USD on the dips - nobody is really profitable doing that, so what is so different when buying and selling bitcoin?

You should keep at least 50% of your holdings.
30-50% you can use for trading if you know what you're doing (use stop losses and don't be too greedy).
Just don't go all-in you can get burned Shocked

Hodling is the best thing anyone can do, even if they consider themselves day traders and are in public showing they made a lot of money there is never anyone making anything close to what they can make stress free if they were to just hodl BTC. You are going to profit every year no matter what, but with day trading you might get emotional or panic sell and lose a lot of capital.
