Although we're 100% privately funded, within the week I will post a full incident report on our official blog regarding hufflepuff. I've already more or less revealed what occurred but in very little detail and will post more for the sake of transparency. Expect to see this sometime this weekend.

Thanks

you mean robbinhood? i thought hufflepuff's win was okay.

Hufflepuff indeed unfortunately. I discussed this in another thread but edited out most of my posts the next day as I'd like to have the full story available. We were planning on breaking the full story via article but this would better be done via a blog post this weekend. Thanks for your patience.

So actually you guys got robbed for a lot of bitcoins. If you paid out hufflepuff then I am surprised that you didn't make checks on him before paying him out. But its better to wait for the story before commenting.

Stunna did paid him for a total of 2k+ BTC , hufflepuff was playing smartly, in disguise of making it to be looks like a legit bet by actually carefully losing quite some amount of BTC and win it back by martingale, this fraud act was noticed after robinhood jump up, stunna did blocked robinhood's withdrawal

I am more interested in knowing that how did stunna get to know that hufflepuff and robin hood are the same people? Did he have any proofs or was he just making educated guesses.
And this case also explains why stunna was looking for people who can do blockchain transaction analysis.

Stunna probably noticed how much profit they were making and just investigated the high rollers, like he probably did to the others. When he realized HOW lucky he was he probably cut him off until he could figure out if the user was cheating or not.

Hufflepuff wasn't cut off from withdrawals coz at that point there was no proof against him. And they didn't want to hold his money without any proof that he was scamming for it .

That just shows how great pd is . Even if they suspected he was exploiting or something they kept paying him out coz they didn't have proof against him.

That's the type of fairness that got pd to no.1 place in bitcoin gambling and will keep it there.

If he really did some trick to win but he received the funds and moved away then what can be done now except to take measure for future. He may be lucky enough to win huge amount. Stunna will made some official announcement to clear the situation.

clear situation of this should be posted soon by stunna in PD's blog, expect (soon), sometimes "soon" is pretty much not soon enough if it is from stunna and counter measurement has been taken, which made robinhood with the same trick couldnt withdraw his winning from PD, the fact that stunna will post the whole situation about how hufflepuff did the trick actually mean that PD has counter this trick up and it wont be useable anymore

Indeed, and it highlights the risks and challenges of running a gambling house.  I'm glad it's not my job.  And good on Stunna for taking it in the pocket-book in the name of fairness.  He wins karma points for sure, which I think will pay off in the end.

I'm also quite shocked... I though hufflepuff's win is legal.
Just wait for Stunna clarification on his official blog

Indeed, and it highlights the risks and challenges of running a gambling house.  I'm glad it's not my job.  And good on Stunna for taking it in the pocket-book in the name of fairness.  He wins karma points for sure, which I think will pay off in the end.

I think theft of bitcoins is one of the most worrying and stressful things about running a bitcoin business (or just even owning bitcoins yourself really). Once they're gone they're gone for good and very intelligent hacker thieves are constantly racking their brains trying to find any exploit they can to steal them from you. I think if you don't keep the coins offline and air-gapped there's always the chance of them being stolen. Really interested to see stunna's explanation and hopefully they'll be able to track the guy down somehow.

they wont be able to actually track that guy down, bitcoin is made for anonimous transaction and the hufflepuff guys should be clever enough to split of his winning into several mixer or use up a powerfull mixer to exit from the tracking of PD

You could apply the same reasoning to DPR. People can easily slip up and maybe they used their real IPs to connect to Primedice before the incident or can be linked to this forum or elsewhere. Mixing services also can become ineffective if you're transacting massive amounts of coins through them all at once. I think this is how one of the darknet scammers was caught or at least tracked down.
