This shows that PrimeDice wagered volume is fake (or at least misleading) and they are not as popular or as profitable as they would have you believe.
As I've been saying for about a year and what other site operators have messaged me pointing out.

The wagered volume stat is basically them playing themselves by giving free money out to players to boost wagered volume which Primedice wins back anyway. This artificially inflates their wagered stats on sites like dicesites.com to make it seem they are the leading site by a huge margin when it's evident they are not.

So while they may have 700 players in the chat compared to competing sites 30-50, their wagered volume is only really 25% more than the competing sites. This shows that their site is mostly made up of faucet players and chatters rather than real gamblers.

This shows how there is no bad publicity even now while writing this post i keep PD thread on top of others.
And mass overcomes the quality by indos keep posting and complaining of not getting their mere satoshis.

Agreed, remove faucet and chat altogether! Also minimum bet 1000 sats  Tongue

I also think this is very good suggestion to remove faucet to run this site with more healthy way, at the moment it's full of faucet abusers, but I don't think minimum bet 1000 satoshi not be good at this stage.

We are lifting the faucet restrictions we placed, you can now claim as many times as you'd like a day! We are looking at smarter solutions to combat abuse.

Good. Then we all agree that faucet limits are a rather brute force solution, I'm glad you lift it for the principle of it. But if abuses come back to a too high level, I bet you could also seize the whole account and profit of those who abused it.

A much simpler solution would be to forbid double account, without an account to tip, it gets much harder to farm the faucet IMHO

Agreed, ideally we'd like to crush this issue so we can increase the reward for legitimate users. We wouldn't restrict access to one account due to many of our users having secondary accounts such as "bank" accounts to manage funds.

Yeah but funds management isn't exactly good for you  xD
That's why it's profitable to earn money from faucet on pd.  Écluse if you win you can send it to your bank account then stack it and finally withdraw it.

I think big faucet and Happy Hour is very good promotion for any dice site, PD is most popular dice site because of it's fun giveaways and promotions so when have no more free money to play risk-free than it could be so bad as I think.

When someone new wants to get into bitcoin dice site, then the site on the top would be primedice so they are actually popular and in term of profittable they are not even could be considered as 'profittable' because theya are'nt crowdfunded like yours

Agreed, ideally we'd like to crush this issue so we can increase the reward for legitimate users. We wouldn't restrict access to one account due to many of our users having secondary accounts such as "bank" accounts to manage funds.

How to crush faucet abuse in 3 easy steps:
Step 1: Remove faucet
Step 2: Ignore people complaining about there being no more faucet.
Step 3: Lose tons of wagered volume and players, but see no real difference in profits (maybe possibly even increase in profits).

People that play only on the faucet, even those just playing for fun and not trying to farm it, need to realize that there's a cost accompanied to processing and storing each bet (server, internet,db +storage space, etc costs). Even if you claim the faucet only 5 times a day and make a few 100 bets for each claim, you're costing PD money to play it. PDs losses because of faucet isn't just the occasional farmer that gets it to a point where he can withdraw, it's much much more. Many sites have minimum bets far above 1 Satoshi because it's more expensive to process and store a 1 satoshi bet than the site theoretically makes from the 1% edge on that bet. Now add to that the fact that the money the 1 sat bet is made with is PDs in the first place and the site makes NO money from that bet, win or lose, and the cost just compounds. Faucets are a much bigger expenses for casinos than most people realize. You're not entitled to a faucet The site's doing you a favour, at their expense.

I'm certain PD can take the money they spend on faucets and processing/storing those bets and allocate them to more useful things, like rewarding 3rd party developers (especially HUI and nahtnam), having more giveaways and competitions and possibly even paying some of their mods for their hard work.

But that's just my not so humble and probably extremely unpopular opinion, besides, what do I know of running a casino?

Also, ETA on chat API documentation?

Seuntjie, all good points.

But im guessing they arent willing to give up their userbase and numbers do matter if they can constantly show largest total wagered volume.
Im siding with you they have been too generous allowing 0 wager bets + the exceptionally large faucet. They should reduce faucet or raise min. wager.

edit : im still amazed people mistake PD for faucet site

This shows that PrimeDice wagered volume is fake (or at least misleading) and they are not as popular or as profitable as they would have you believe.

This is an extremely misguided argument given that you have absolutely no idea how much the faucet pays out a day and how much of that is actually wagered. The faucet keeps the site extremely active which makes highrollers more inclined to bet, actual faucet betting does not account for significant amount of our wagered and the faucet isn't paying out massive amounts a day either. We lifted the limit because we found that it was negatively impacting long time legitimate users not just abusers.

Primedice does more wagered than any of the other dice sites because of the strength of the brand, trust and platform. I know for a fact that your claims are completely wrong given our profits the past month/week/year despite faucet. Affiliate has been paying out more than faucet on a weekly basis.

The past 24h 0.3 coins were claimed from the faucet, and Primedice earned 44 coins in profit. This week we had 2-3 days of low volume which recovered prior to lifting the restrictions. The restriction was hardly restrictive anyways (50 claims a day). Doing this small giveaway allows us to stay competitive against investment websites, If we allowed investments I'm confident we'd do significantly more volume.

Also your claims come off as very hypocritical given these giveaways you've done:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1465356.0

Further, if we are debating dicing volume is it fair that you include the volume from your slot games/other casino games. To me that seems slightly misleading when you look at dicesites (which you mentioned), not that I even remotely care though. Our goal has never been to be loud and make a lot of waves, just to operate a fair and entertaining service.

Finally, if anything our volume is artificially low given that we restrict US,UK,Aus players and are blocked by the Russian firewall among others.

As I've been saying for about a year and what other site operators have messaged me pointing out.

I disagree on both counts. As long as PrimeDice is not restricting fauceters ability to withdraw (ala dadice, who wouldn't let someone withdraw faucet profits because they were using the faucet to make money) then it's complete valid wagerings. If you think it's a good strategy to increase your volume, then by all means give out free money. What would be far less clear is if they had "roll over requirements" (e.g. give someone a bitcoin, but make them roll it over 500x if they want to withdraw it), but that's not what PD is doing.

Also PD stats seem completely reasonable to me, according to thebitcoinstrip.com in the last 30 days they've wagered almost exactly 2x that of bustabit which doesn't have a faucet. Since of the low edge of bustabit, that means PD is making about ~6x of bustabit, which considering PDs popularity, reputation and advertising PD does seems completely reasonable. Also we know from JD, which was investor backed and couldn't fake stats -- there is a huge dice market. They PD numbers if anything seem small to me (possibly as a result of restricting the US market?).

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Agony would imply that I don't make money from BetKing, which is doing pretty fine as can be seen on dicesites.com.

Both sites do have their advantages. BetKing is the best place for low to highrollers to play dice and other games and Primedice is better for faucet players and chat.

I just don't understand how people contradict themselves on this forum sometimes.
Everyone wants the casinos to be transparent, fair and honest and will call out sites who are not, for good reason, such as when Fortune Jack was faking their stats or when Bitcasino.io fakes everything.

Yet Primedice gets a pass when they artificially inflate their wagered stats.
They would still be the most popular without having to inflate so I don't see the problem with them just being honest.
But they would rather fool people into believing they are more popular than all sites combined. Which is not true.

Most butt hurt posts I've seen in a long time, and that from a competitor site owner  Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Well I played at primedice and betking, I lost somewhat all together 15 btc on primedice and 0.8 on betking.

The reason is simple, there is no minimum bet on PD which there is on betking, PD has many give aways where my bets and wagered amount counts and I increase my faucet while wagering, always comes in  handy for the weekends I'm broke and bored.

Although I have to say one of my dice accounts where I wagered the most is on safedice where there is no faucet and never anyone in chat. :p

But I believe the faucet is a good promotion on PD's side, and betking is great for high rollers who got more then 100 btc bets to waste in single bets.

Holy elf blood! Using the API for betting and zero errors atm. Seems running a bot in vmware workstation was the problem all along. I showed windows the finger(middle) and moved onto a linux distro. Everything is running smooth like baby ass now. Woot! Sorry stunna, I take back about 3/10 of the critic that I gave you. 1 for this, 2nd for faucet being back to normal for us non-abusers-entertainment hogs, 3rd for private tipping.. Wait, role speed through API seems kinda fast as well, 4/10 then. Cheers   Tongue

Awesome, glad things are running smoothly for you finally! Smiley

Yet Primedice gets a pass when they artificially inflate their wagered stats.

As long as they are not doing that on puposes and not do that by themselves then it couldnt be called as artificially inflating their atatus. I dont really see your point, how about you try to lift up those min bet restriction from your site and allow high amount of faucet and see if your site could have the same amount of their wagered

You keep editing your post.

My volume you see on dicesites does not include any other game, only dice. The blackjack etc are all funded by me and so use a different bankroll.

We also block a few territories including the UK.

It is clearly done on purpose but obviously it doesn't matter to people.

I only recently changed the min bet. I had 1 satoshi bets and had the highest faucet in the industry. It got abused a lot by people and attracted the type of players to the chat in BetKing that real players would rather not have there so I removed it.
Also I don't get your point, BetKing has more wagered than all other dice sites combined if you exclude PrimeDice, we're doing great.

I'll stop posting here, Stunna obviously has too many die hard fans in here that can't have a discussion without just saying I'm jealous or butthurt or whatever other nonsense Smiley

Smiley

44 btc profit per day and this is not scam ? hahahahha fucking joke.

Per day? Some days we lose money, in the long run you're looking at ~EV profits.

When u use fake account like mr.vincenzo xD?
This site have impossible profit and i dont know even 1 guy who won on primedice. 90% of huge winner's are fake.

After the new PD4 launch am experiencing lot of display problems that turn my gaming experience annoying  Undecided

Betting, either manual or auto, it's OK but site is constantly glitching (every few seconds) : monitor turns all grey (same kind of grey as the upper horizontal bar where deposit withdraw faucet buttons are located) for a second or so and then come back to normal.

This glitch (dunno if it's the correct term to use to describe this "bug") doesn't affect autobetting proper run.

Is it only me or anyone else s having same problems?
