Like the investment, when you play mentioned every way this sentence: "Don't bet what can you afford to lose"
That's a given but irrelevant if you're addicted or becoming so, but they probably didn't bet more than they could afford to lose, but nobody wants to lose and it's never a nice feeling when you do.
Everything I ever played was expendable surplus from other investments or commissions from my day job. Made it out ahead on PD, but I'm still 3 BTC in the hole on Dicebitcoin. Too bad I couldn't win it back there too!
I'm calling it quits for gambling. Kind of. Thanks to a combination of boredom & laziness, I somehow managed to lose 2+ BTC without batting an eye today after making a nice climb upwards, which is a good indication that I should quit while I'm ahead.
Well done. That's the way to do it.
I lost a chunk of my profits a few days ago and haven't played since either.
I deposited to PD to chase losses I had made on moneypot, recovered my losses and a little more, but noticed my total profit was untidy, so set about tidying it up, and in the process lost around 29 BTC.
At that point I realised I needed to take control of myself, and stop it.
Thank you for your input, Doog. Means a lot! I also agree -- untidy profits are very unsettling!
