YES The only software that will NOT properly send coins is the old Qt wallet (v1.0), or the old daemon software if you still have that downloaded (although we have taken down those download links so nobody should have the old daemon).

RE DNS issues last night - the data center had a UPS-A failure. Downtime was ~10 minutes. Only the pool website/front-end was down. Pool shares continued to be recorded as those are on another server. Sorry!

If these are LOCKED coins that you previously owned, it's due to 'wallet optimization' transactions - you need to disable in preferences, and probably take your wallet offline for a full day before the transaction will disappear. Mind that this option is disabled by default.

If this is an incoming payment that is unconfirmed, it's because the sender did not update to the latest wallet before trying to send your payment, and the TX will never confirm. Again File > Reset wallet to eliminate it from your list.

I still have the locked coins, im using wallet 1.2.0, i disabled the wallet optimization, reset the wallet, waited a couple of days, still locked, I also cant send, if i try to send it deducts the coins, but it never gets confirmed, also cant see the transaction on the block explorer. lost many coins

I have an unconfirmed transaction. There was a payment from version 1.0 to version 1.2RC2.  On the recipient's wallet with version 1.2RC2, the payment for more than two days is in the locked state. Updating the sender's wallet from version 1.0 to 1.2RC2 did not solve the problem.
What should I do?

My apologies, looks like the boost lib was not properly statically linked to the binaries. I'll resolve that soon.

In the interim, if you want to use precompiled binaries on unix, sorry but the apt version of libboost-system-dev is out of date with what the project was compiled with. You will need to download/install boost 1.64 from www.boost.org.

If you want to eliminate those old broken transactions, open your .wallet file in the new 1.2 wallet, and then File->Reset wallet.

Whomever mentioned using zapwallettxes command, we do not have that in our software, perhaps you're thinking of a different coin. Running `reset` in simplewallet or file->Reset in the GUI wallet should accomplish the same thing. However, it seems this is still allowing some transactions to linger - I will add a command or option to zap all pending TXs.

make a shortcut of the wallet on desktop and go to its properties then in fron of .exe" add the -zapwallettxes and press ok then start the wallet from that shortcut.

Yes its okay to keep using that version of the wallet to receive your mined coins but remember to always store a backup of your wallet.
