Bitcoin are very hot right now, which means hackers have a greater incentive than ever to target it.bit is secure in the sense that it is resistant to fraud, error, or logical flaws, but  not truly anonymous.it is important to remember the shortcomings and vulnerabilities of Bitcoin, at least in the present day to keep your bit much safe.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
Bitcoin is really secured and safe, becasue you have your own private key and password, it cannot be hack by someone unless you give to others your password and private, for sure there'sna chance for you to be hack but if not. it will be very safe at all.

Bitcoin is really secure in terms of our identity because bitcoin doesn't require us to put our personal information to just execute a good transaction where it is really happening in the regular currencies that we have which is very prone for bad things to happen like identify theft and many more. Bitcoin is really secure and that is why investing in bitcoin is a good choice especially if you are really into long term.
I agree with you . We don't need to give personal information to confirm on Bitcoin because everything on Bitcoin is anonymous and the Bitcoin system has a lot of layers of security, which will make investors feel more secure.
Yes, there is not much complications with the secure nature of bitcoin. Bitcoin is all about trust, and the anonymity is an added feature for the same. Everywhere small mistakes happen, in the same manner at instance the hacking make some negative impact on bitcoin.

If you can keep an account that you have then I am very confident that your account will be safe. Never store username, password, email or seed in any place. Because it can make a person take advantage of your negligence. And if the government forbids bitcoin I think you can still use bitcoin, you can try various network access such as VPN to still be able to access bitcoin. Many overseas services that provide services to send money directly to your BANK account in your country.
I actually believe that Bitcoin does support a high security in regards to its system. Just imagine having a multiple transaction and wallet where does it and withdrawals do exist if there are some issues regarding the system of that the support of people may decrease. And obviously a big changes may happen to Bitcoin development. And if we are going to pertain to block chain issues that are some of prior problems that have solution Everytime. Basically Bitcoin does have security for further development and growth for its systems value, transaction and price on the market.

In case of security of wallet it is as secure as your bank account .Does your bank assure that your bank account cannot be hacked?
and secondly you asked "Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market?" There are lots of dollars are being spent for terrorist activity than the bitcoin using in deepweb it is relatively easy to stop the transaction of dollars which is used for terror funding then why that still running? Do you think banning bitcoin will close the deep web completely?

Bitcoin security depends on ourselves,So we must always be vigilant in keeping our account so hackers do not steal it,   my friend there who lost bitcoin it all because of carelessness, so the point is safe bitcoin as long as we are good at keeping.
Thats true. Bitcoin technology - has a strong record of security records, and the Bitcoin network is probably the largest distributed tally project in the world. The weakness of Bitcoin mostly lies in its user error.Bitcoin wallet data that holds private keys can be erased accidentally, lost, or stolen. This is similar to physical cash stored in digital form.

Bitcoin is really well protected from the point of view of its security by codes that hackers can not hack. If bitcoin is in a digital wallet, no one has the right to access it except yourself. No one can determine who owns the purse and take any measures to impose arrest on him or take other measures to limit the ongoing transactions. If the digital codes are stored by you reliably, your bitcoin is completely safe.

Bitcoin is really secure, despite that hackers trying to hack and hook bitcoin still they cannot, they failed, bitcoin is really protected. That is why the pioneer of bitcoin keep himself so no once can beat or threaten him for the sake of having bitcoin codes. And in terms of government handling, bitcoin is not yet covered by any country no one holds it by its system, maybe government can ban it but as we can see those banned countries still having an access to bitcoin, where the people can have it all freely despite it is banned

nothing in this world is 100% safe , so how can bitcoins be. even NASA and the pentagon have been hacked which are most decorated and protected places of world .
bitcoins are hard to hack as it is decentralised , for hacking into them there is no single unit that has to be hacked in , Bitcoins are decentralised so it is more scure and more safe taht doesn't make it Impossible to hack in but yes it makes it near to impossible to hack in.
our wallets are safe as they have privat keys and seeds for backup and security but we can never be sure that it is 100% safe .
it can be maked more safe by adding double authentication by mobile number or any other method

Bitcoin is relatively safe when you don't do foolish mistakes.
Use the real Electrum site (beware from mirror sites)
Use Trezor, or paper wallet, you can even use Blockchain.info.  just save your private key in safe place, and wait for price increase  Grin

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

Yes,  I agree with him. Bitcoin is really secure. Its too much trusted.  I think the future of bitcoin is bright.but bitcoin is also stolen. If your computer attack with malware/viruses then hacker may hack your computer and take control over your computer. Then they easily hack/steal your file/document and if you kept your private key on your computer then the hacker also steal your bitcoin easily.

My answer is yes, it definitely secure if not then it has been hacked by the hackers. Besides, so far there's no news that there's an account has been hacked or robbed execpt from those people who are careless. I suggest keep your private key into a safe place so that it can't be accessed by everyone except from you.

Is Bitcoin really secure? Well, let's just say, cryptographically yes yes and yes.
A problem arises in security most often when a disgruntled or despearate boyfriend or girlfriend a jealous
hear or a mean streak, or a crazed gambler has your codes, back ups and an iq over 10 don't worry but keep
up your guard no matter what to be prepared if needed.,

This is my point. Bitcoin, by design, is secure as shit. The encryption is more than adequate for the time being, but we will have to accommodate quantum computers when they actually become a viable thing, which at least gives us five to ten years in my opinion.

But the protocol is not what is getting hacked. No one is exploiting core code flaws when bitcoin gets stolen. Folks get hammered because of a security failure at a point of centralization.

You are only as safe as the weakest link I'm your armor, so to speak. Because of your operating system and malware, a 100 character password won't save you from a key logger/screen grabber. For exchanges, no matter if you have 2fa and whitelisted withdrawal Addy's, if the exchange has a compromise (inside job, legit hack, fatal error) you are still just as fucked.

Let me repeat this. A thing is only as strong as its weakest link. Strengthen the whole, and your lowest hanging fruit raises up a few inches Wink

And be smart, dammit. I didn't even address confidence scams, I don't have time.

Until such time as there will be quantum computers will take a very long time. First unknown will survive bitcoin until that time or it will bubble. Secondly, a quantum computer will appear not only from hackers and so the chances are equal again.

At this stage I think that it is safe and he has nothing to threaten, but on the other hand people who turn paper candy wrappers clearly consider the crypto currency to be dangerous and in the future they will do everything possible to destroy it
