Really digging the promise of this. Especially now that cybersecurity is such an important task, it's great to have a platform that could incentivize programmers/hackers to go whitehat.

It'd also be super useful if I could just go on Hacken to find the people I need to test the security of the software I build as my business. No need to depend on super overpriced devs (it's a skillset that's high in demand in my country), so those that are skilled are way too expensive for small business.

White hat hackers are perfect fit for the job. Just so people will know, the job of a White Hat Hacker is find the vulnerability or loopholes on a program then will create a solution for it. Some of the white hat hackers are lurking underground finding bugs and loopholes in a certain program, company, server or any software setup then they will initiate a deal to create the best solution for the security of those program. That's why they are called bounty hunters. Hacken project is perfect as they will build a community for white hat hackers and provide campaign, program and facilities for them to work on and a great compensation for doing the job.

The main token sale (ICO) will start on October 31, 2017 and will last for a month so probably November 30 or December 1 but it could end much sooner if they sold all of their tokens within the allocated time of ICO.

So its almost two months or something defend on the sale of token? but i trust this work i would probably this project will be popular so the token will sold out early.

Me too i do believe in this project from the start it is something that we need nowdays because of too much hacking everywhere and we also need to equip our own things and securities along the web.

If anyone understand what is important of this of application this is more help to us. So no doubt many investor will invest for this.

How much has already been raised?

Does this mean that the price has already increased almost 10% since the beginning?   (i.e. 900/820=$1.098 per Token)?

No, that's not the case, I realize now I should have been more clear. There was a pre-sale with a 30% bonus purchased in BTC, with which Hacken has benefited from the uptick in BTC price.

As for the ICO, there will be bonuses on purchases for the first 2 weeks starting at 25% and scaling down to 10%.

If the whitelist participants buy out all the tokens on October 24th to 30th, then I think that will be it.  There won't be an ICO on October 31st because all the Hacken tokens are sold out.  It would be wise to get on the list immediately if you haven't.

It simply pays them for a certain job they performed and if they cannot find any more 'bread' on the table, they must resort back to their former dark or Black Hat ways.   

The HakenProof platform gives hackers a sense of pride and ownership and incentivizes them to continue contributing to the 'Light' side because that in itself drives the value of their tokens up as the HKN token price increases. the ICO starts on october 31st so expect the ICO will end on november 31st but i think it will be over immidiately, so if you want to participate in any bounty campaign of hacken you better do it now.

it's really near approaching, i'll be betting on this one that it's ICO will end early. It will not be taking that so much time in order to reach it's hard cap, I'm pretty sure that will be happening.
