So when new exchange? TS is quite awful one.

With the new additions to yobit, we have fingers crossed and hope we will be in the next batch. Our support ticket on yobit is still unanswered.

It would be also great to get listed on Cryptopia, but current listing fee 5mil DOT is too high for us.
If someone wants to give VOT community a nice christmas present, feel free to donate 5 mil DOT for cryptopia listing Smiley
Agree that Cryptopia listing is unnecessarily high, Yobit with all it cons about their slow support response have nice advantages like big volume and low listing few. Hope they will answer rapidly, but not like always.

5 million Dot is like 4.5 Bitcoin, thats crazy, thats $ 45k as speaking and undoable for newcomers, But Yobit would be a good place to start,
Wallets and developing and keeping everything alive, is almost more important to keep growth then going on an exchange.. exchanges can make u or break u..

Hope on a good run !

Seems like VoteCoin is added to coinmarketcap. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/votecoin/

Great news! It means that Votecoin finally overcome 10k USD daily volume. It's important step for VOT project that shows increasing interest to Votecoin

If you looked at the actual trading activity rather than looking at CMC volume you would see that it is mainly wash trading

Interesting. How can you tell it is wash trading? It looks like there is significant downward pressure as of lately, so yea those were not real buyers likely.

I don't have screen grabs at the moment but around 22nd November at 9am if i recollect (a little b4 cmc listing VOT) we started to get transactions showing a buy, about every 15 mins +/- 3 mins, value about 13k +/- 3k VOT - the prices it showed filling at were always within the spread by about 2 sat. This would imply posting an offer 2 -3 sat below the best offer and hitting it immediately from another account before it shows on the order book. The cost  is commission and no net change in position - ie it is inventory neutral

Around the same time a much smaller model was set up, again on a regular schedule +/- a few mins, buying 10-15 vot at the ask price

Occasionally this "accumulation" pressure reversed but i never track it as it only amounted to about 50-100 vot per hour

Intersperse with this are occasional "real" trades

The period and size of these patterned trades have changed and you can only see them as far as the history shows so no way to demonstrate unequivocally without access to the history (API anyone)

I just took a cursory glance and the pattern is still there but the baseline numbers have change on the wash trading - it looks like a slightly wider range (6k-15k) but it still looks to be 15m +/- 3 mins

There are options for mining on CPU?

It is possible.
Check http://votecoin.catspool.org/ and scroll down to CPU mining instructions.

Every project with mining can be called good. The price is definitely rising. Because mining is preventing inflation.

Your comment makes zero sense. Could you please explain your reasoning why mining in your eyes is preventing inflation? I am very interested in understanding that theory.

Miningspeed has added Votecoin!!

0.4% fee
PPLNT payout scheme
Dedicated stratums in europe, us and asia (very low ping for asia people)

https://pool.miningspeed.com

Miningspeed is the good pool for Equihash with low ping and easy diff configuration. The pool need some more hashrates to be stable. I like to mine Zen but some big hoppers are sitting there. Anyway I like your pool  Wink

December is begun. What is current stage of Votecoin project development? Any news? Would we see something interesting this year? A short report would be great. Still mining Votecoin - now is still  good chance to get enough amount of VOTs

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Now I'm using http://pool.votecoin.site. It's quite stable for weeks (Only one failure about one or two weeks ago) As reserve pool I use nibirupool. Payments are equal to calculated amount according to relation of my hashrate to network hashrate

The coin for a long time keeps at the level of 100 satosh ... it's good, but I would like at least a small stable growth in prices.
