Anyone notice all TZC pools going down at the same times recently? I notice the difficulty drops like a rock out of nowhere from time to time and try to mine to take advantage, but ends up all the servers are off during those times. I'll include a screenshot if nobody knows what I'm talking about  Cheesy DDOS attack on pools? Or is there an issue with PoW?

These pools arent going down. - A lot of people mining the most profitable coins with autoexchange to BTC. - So when the diff is too high, they all leave and the diff dropps. - Thats why TZC has included OSS to not get trapped on a high difficulty.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Interesting, I didn't know it functioned like this! So does the network stop accepting PoW shares after a certain difficulty increase in a period of time has been reached? I'd like to know more about this because I love mining trezarcoin

No thats not how it works. Difficulty adjusts every block. - If its not profitable anymore cause of the high diff, miners leave and the diff goes down again until its profitable again.

Then why am I unable to even mine at all during these difficulty spikes? Seems strange how aikapool, altminer, etc all stop accepting incoming connections at these times. Like I said, I'll include a screenshot of them throwing errors at the server phase during periods of difficulty dropping. I only ask because at times the trezar mining will just stop and disconnect without reconnecting without actually starting the miner again, resulting in a period of lost mining. Then you also can't reconnect because the server(s) don't connect. I haven't tried solo mining during this period, but I assume that works fine.

Would be great if you could prove that/show screenshots. I would really like to investigate that. Also could you please join Slack?

Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank ChekaZ for the support given here.  I have personally had no issues at all except for one time when my wallet would not open due to a corrupted data file.  This was apparently as the result of a hard boot that made for an unclean write to my drive.

It's great to see TZC hovering around a 5 million market cap.  Hoping it can surpass 10 million in the days and weeks ahead.

And, it's great to have such good returns on POS.

My thanks to the dev team and ChekaZ specifically.

Right now pool mining is working just fine; I'll work through the day and see if it disconnects again. I've been getting these disconnects every couple days or so, and it usually coincides with the big difficulty spikes (50+) and results in it going back to ~20-30 as hashrate drops significantly due to people like me being unable to mine on pools. If it was normal miner leaving and difficulty fluctuation I wouldn't be mentioning it, but it always seems to be on the mining end. So I'll be able to report back soon assuming it happens again

Staking enabled for 39 inputs weighing 112 coindays.

Will it take 112 days before stake or what does it mean ?

Now it is 40 inputs. 113 coindays. It just went up.

Throw some "shit" and see what sticks.

Coindays is just your weight or "hashrate" for PoS. 112 is quite low, either it just started or you have less then 1k coins, which may take a long time for you to get a block.

Hell man. I just saw it went crazy up satoshiwise so i started mining and staking some days ago.

Now it say 42 inputs 118 coindays. I am being outraced so to speak.

Still not understanding the days thing i guess. Does it mean that theoretically i should have a payout in 118 days or is it just a word put in for weisenheimers ?

Diff goes up very fast.

I have 381 inputs, weighing a little more than 507,000 coin days.  I have been getting between 8 - 10 blocks per month (800 - 1000 coins per month).

112 coin days means you will get about 1/450th of what I am getting, assuming you do not improve in that regard.  If it STAYS at 112 coin days, then expect a 100 coin reward every 3 years or so if I am doing the math properly.

It would be helpful if you told us how many coins you have.

Bong. Pardon my arrogance or don't.

I have. Let's see. 105.812469 TZC at the moment. Taking them in one at a time. From The Blocks Factory.

PS: I'm switched to PXC for a moment. I have this idea that it will beat TZC ass one these days when it comes to profit.

Throw some "shit" and see what sticks.

I re-did the math.  With so few coins you are in for a long long wait for anything to happen.  Think about it.  At my rate of return on staking (assuming the rate is about the same - which really cannot be done) then my coins will double in about 3 years.

So will yours... but since you have a little more than 100 coins to start with, and the POS payout is 100 coins... it will take you 3 years to see your first payout - on average.

Thank you. I will read up on it later on.

Glad to see that it gains value even if i don't get it staking.

Yes it is in my opinion.  You could expect to get an extra 15k coins or so in a year.  You'll probably hit a block (100 coins) every 2-3 days Smiley
