I hate it when i dont get answers and eventually endup loosing interest. It has been 2 months now the staking status shows all true active staking green arrow but no rewards for 2 months now... why would i stake if i dont get rewards...no one seem to be answering any of my questions.. its when the project need attention is when they all answers even the silliest question... I am one of the first hodlers of the coin and thought of hodling it for as long as i can but they seem to test my patience.. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Hi, i have similar issues. Go to telegram chat. There is lots of help from others..  t.me/colx  try it.

All the Best

thanks brov but i am fed up of opening several accounts for one coin.. they were all good here then they moved to slack i joined slack and then now telegram... unfortunate enough, i lost access to slack i dont know how... m just not liking it to get answers you have to signup at new platforms everytime.

Go to telegram and sort it out. 2 months is like 60000 COLX from my staking. Do it! It is worth to do if you think about future.
Not sure why you got a problem, this SOFT is easy as hell.

BRUTE FORCE PASSPHRASE RECOVERY?? COLX wallet.dat

Feeling pretty silly right now..  I've had a 'copy/paste' issue with the pass phrase which I've encrypted my COLX wallet with,  I think rather than the actual passphrase I've probably pasted a file system path as the phrase instead.

I need to figure out a way I can try and make brute force attempts to unlock the wallet to recover the coins.

Is anyone is able to suggest an approach for doing this?  or point me in the direction of a tutorial or something?

I have tried to research this,  and I've found a few references to brute forcing qt wallets - but I'm unsure of the specifics of these and whether I can simply use that approach for the colx wallet.. any guidance would be most appreciated..

It seems that coinsmarkket is running away with our funds. I'm calling the colx developer if they can hold the coins in the addresses of coinsmarket, because it is our coin. They must be stop before they can liquidate it. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies soon the follow for the blockage for their transaction.

Here is my colx wallet address in coinsmaket: DFrCqjQ1adincAi9iNLmC7PMG8wXD4S6fY

I am afraid if it is an exit scam then there is nothing COLX team can do ... this is the essence of crypto ... u dont have to control accounts ... I have 200k colx in there as well and a chunk of another coin ... all worth now atleast 7k eur ....i cannot even log in into my account anymore ...at first u could engage in the trollbox without logging into ur account and now that is not even possible...u have to be logged in before being able to chat...... We just have to hope they get their shit together as they promised and come back online ... I still have the feeling everything will be resolved ... Coinsmarket is here to stay ... well i hope so ...

This is why COLX needs to be listed on major exchanges asap .... the present situation is actually limiting others from getting hold of COLX which actually isnt good ....SOmething has to be done ...

There was a post on twitter about COLX being listed on KUcoin....any timeline on that? How soon ? This cryptopia issue seems to be taking alot of time ... besides cryptopia is also having issues as well just like other major exchanges as bittrex ... the influx of people creating new accounts is moving at an exponential rate ... Their servers are all overloaded .... Binance even had to temporary suspend creation of new accounts ... so you can get a feeling of what is going on in 2018 ... The world is gradually getting to realise the power of BLOCK CHAIN TECH ...

This is just the beginning ...

What steps did you take so far? You edited the config file already? Using windows or mac wallet?

Abort trap: 6
logout
Saving session...
...copying shared history...
...saving history...truncating history files...
...completed.

Assertion failed: (hashPrevBlock == view.GetBestBlock()), function ConnectBlock, file main.cpp, line 2050

COLX TO THE MOON ....

I'm confident the site will be back. Someone saying it did happen in September too, they took a week to complete upgrade. Myself holding LOT there now based on current prices,  $22k worth of COLX and $16k worth of Linda tokens. :-( Also holding ECA and XP.

Let's hope it will be back soon. I don't see a reason for not coming back, this is a booming market and they should be making lot and site will be worth lot more than stealing few coins and run away.

It reads like an error in a function, but I don't know what causes it. So a fair warning; I've been doing this for a good while now, but I am no technical expert. If someone else knows what these lines mean exactly, I'd listen to them Smiley That being said, I'd do the following in your situation:

If by recover.dat you mean you made a copy of your wallet.dat (in a different folder!), you can try re-installing the QT wallet and re-sync to the blockchain. Hopefully you also saved your private keys, because personally I'm always scared that (a backup of) wallet.dat gets corrupted in some way. If your wallet was empty, you have nothing to worry about.

If you re-install the wallet, you can just put your backup of wallet.dat back into the main folder or import your private keys in the debug console and you should be set. If your wallet was empty, you can just use new addresses.

I hope this helps.. if you need more assistance, please ask. If you wish to donate, my address is DARwuVuyMUhU2U8ii6RsudukGTcMfDosCP

Good luck!

Did you check the backup folder for a wallet before you enabled encryption.

How does a coinburn technically work? Do you just send them to a wallet address where nobody has control / private key anymore so they are stuck forever? Always wondered how that works.
